I've lived in NC all my life and became a Cowboys fan in the mid 80s as a kid. There was no home team then. Even though I live in NC, the Dallas Cowboys are MY home team!! I love it every time Dallas beats Carolina.
Little did anyone know at the time, that placeholder on the field goal attempt would become the cowboys all time leader in practically every regular season category at QB. A shame they couldn't put it together in the postseason for him.
@@andrewilliams3901 yeah, tbh Prescott is headed in the same direction. He'll never outshine even Romo if he can't at least make it to the NFC championship.
@@andrewilliams3901Overrated? LOL Romo holds several Cowboys team records, including passing touchdowns, passing yards, most games with at least 300 passing yards, and games with three or more touchdown passes. How about touchdowns? Romo has 208 career passing touchdowns, while Aikman had only 165. Romo’s record in a single season is 36, which he accomplished in 2007. Staubach’s high was 27 and Aikman’s 23. Romo’s disparity in quarterback rating might be the most surprising. His career rating is 95.8, good enough for fifth in league history. He’s ahead of players like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Kurt Warner and Joe Montana.
Thanks again Timmy. I was at this game and it was surely wild. Steve Smith got thrown out, Julius Jones had a career game and i was sitting in the end zone where the field goal happened. Great memories!
If you wanted to have a heart attack or high blood pressure, 2005 was a good season to be a Cowboys fan. They had a ridiculous number of close games, many of them coming down to the last 2 minutes or OT. RIP to Marion Barber and this game’s hero, Terry Glenn.
Glenn's fumble in playoff game against Seattle was forgotten because of Romo's mishap on fg but Dallas up by 8 late in 4th Glenn fumbled out the back off endzone gave seattle a safety and seattle the ball to which they scored a TD to go up then we all know what happened with the fg attempt
John Mathis not smug . It's a warning /lesson for all the people who die every day not doing something as simple as wearing a seat belt. Not wearing that belt can kill anyone, including a man like Terry . Sad and stupid. I seen it way to much and it fucking pisses me off.
It was a nice present🎁 to be alive in the playoffs for one more week. In 2005 we lost at least 4 games( Wash in wk 2, Oakland, Seattle, and Denver) we shouldn't had. To be fair we probably got away with a couple of the ones that we did win.
The season was over and they should have lost this game and they won. A week after washington killing them. Made the final game vs the rams even more painful once washington beat the eagles earlier in the day.
A video clip of cowboys panthers from 11 years ago. A washington fan telling cowboys fans to win a super bowl or shut up. Like I said Washington Fans are the dumbest in the league. And this troll will be blocked from watching or commenting.
Missed this game because I had to work that Christmas Eve. Great post, and it makes me miss the days when the Cowboys had a coach of BP's pedigree standing on the sidelines.
Yes it is swell to hear. For those who don't know, this is a radio broadcasting superimposed on the TV video. Brad is so highly regarded (even if Babe is there :) ) that over the years it's not been uncommon for people to turn down the TV volume and turn up the radio - sort of what is done in this video. BTW, on videos, I suspect that the Cowboy radio broadcast "rights" are easier or cheaper than the NFL'S official audio. On later TV broadcasts of plays, very very often - even the majority of the time it seems - they use Brad's [radio] play calling over the video footage.
T. Cain I haven't had a TV in 12 years and I have grown to love the radio broadcast of both Brad and babe for the Cowboys as well as Eric nadel for the Rangers. I live in Texas btw..
My first time watching the ending, at the time I was in the Alamodome watching Detroit break the Saints' hearts with a last second field goal. Merry Christmas indeed.
Man I'd take JJ and/or MB over Zeke right now. RIP MB. Also - Cowboys have had the worst luck with kickers...no NFL kicker should be missing a 30 yd field goal, much less two of them in a row. Sheesh.
DeadSlash no never this is the first time ever. Every player on the cowboys this day was put in the hall of fame. This is the greatest team of all time and the greatest moment in nfl history. They will tell the tale of this day for decades. Thanks for watching.
ctll626 the flags causing extra chances and all the booth reviews definitely had everybody at the time, out of their seats. it's different now because this game is old and it doesn't mean anything no more.
Cundiff sucked in 2005. TG for the running into the kicker penalty. Oh and Terry Glenn got 4 steps in between catching that ball and going out of bounds. I dk what they were even reviewing on that GW TD
People I believe unfairly malign Dallas's fans, perhaps calling them arrogant. I don't know that that's so true, though I certainly wouldn't match them up against some fervent cities' true fans like Green Bay and the Dawg Pound. But they were complete assholes to Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe did a reasonable job, but because he wasn't all world he was crucified by the public (who was more or less recently spoiled in the past - Merdith, Stauchback, Aikman). Contrast that to the legitimate disgust with Dak (who simply is not NFL quality). Bledsoe played "okay"; he led the team to a 12-10 record. But Dallas's fans wanted no less than Romo (who set the world on fire), and had Bledsoe bounced out. I thought he worked pretty hard for no appreciation and ignominious dismissal. Shame on the fans for that one.
Get out of here with Dallas fans aren't as "fervent" as other fans. Especially Green Bay fans...They could barely sell out a home playoff game a few years ago. Please. You can come sit with me at the stadium and meet the season ticket holders who fly in every week from other cities, or drive up from long distances to attend every damn game. Or people like myself who moved here specifically to become season ticket holders and be a part of the crowd at home....there are many of us. not "Fervent" get the hell out of here with this nonsense. Give me a break about Cleveland fans, no fan base has ever been more glorified for no reason at all...all the stuff that gets tagged to the supposed browns fans actually applies to Bills fans but no one talks about them. anyway, get lost dude.
This game cost Carolina the division that year. Had they won they'd of gone 12-4 and gotten a home playoff game. Instead they settled for 11-5 and had to go on the road all postseason.
If the kick was more to the left to make it in the goal it would of hit peppers' hand then the kick would be blocked with no flag and cowboys lose. Glad their kicker was garbage
I've lived in NC all my life and became a Cowboys fan in the mid 80s as a kid. There was no home team then. Even though I live in NC, the Dallas Cowboys are MY home team!! I love it every time Dallas beats Carolina.
I concur, PV5. I love the Cowboys. Born and raised in NC.

It is cool and edgy to be a cowboys fan.
Dallas has more or less own Carolina in regular season meetings.
I was at that game. Christmas Eve!! After the game outside the stadium the Cowboys fans were going WILD!!!!! I was one of them! Let’s go Boys!!!!!
Love them Cowboys.

Really, Michael?
Yeah, try wearing your seatbelt in your next life. It's not only the law ,but it would have saved your life.
