As a life long niners fan I hated when having to play against him but loved when he was with us. His attitude and confidence is super valid too because he his so cerebral. He probably would have gotten his scholarship to Stanford purely for academics if he wasn't so focused on football.

I wish they would also go and look and break down Love’s numbers and play too. Point by point. He wasn’t that great. Pretty comparable to Purdy except HE LOST. It could have been THREE INTs for Love…could have been. I wish people focused on what DID happen. A guy who played under Aaron Rodgers threw THAT throw to end the game when he didn’t have to? Hmmmmmm
Purdy threw to Kittle (who dropped a perfect pass on 2nd and 5), Aiyuk, and CONLEY on that final drive. I don’t think Conley is Aiyuk, Kittle, Deebo, or CMC. Just saying.
Oh and that 6 yard TD by CMC to win the game, could have been killed but wasn’t cause of Purdy.
These analysts should REALLY watch that tape.
I hope we fire DC Steve Wilks after the season, because he let our defense fall off too much from the last few years. I also think part of that is because our offense has gotten so much better that our defense feels like they can relax. As where with Jimmy FG they had to play perfect defense or else we'd lose. Like in GB or Dallas in 2021.
Niners D is pretty good. Not great like in 2019. Offense and time of possession have kept their defensive numbers look better than they actually are during the season

49er fan for life and couldn't stand playing against the Seahawks and Sherman, but was glad when he joined the Niners cause he was one of the best in that position. Key was legendary during his time too. I'd watch these guys have fun and attempt to go at it on the field. Might need to keep some defibrillators around though just in case 😂

IF Jordan Love, a first round pick, had conducted the final drive and Packers won, the press would call "The Drive" a drive for ages! Anyway, a bad day for Purdy is 250 yards, NO intercepts, 1 TD, ran for 11 important yards, playing under rain, with a lazy offensive line and he got that winning drive. What lousy QB! Jordan Love on the other hand under 200 yards, 2 tds 2 int, failed to score a td during entire first half and 4th quarter, well, Love is the future, what great QB!! P.S. - purdy liability? How about the Last Packers play?

This is who Love was. The media suffers from recency bias. Look at Love in weeks 1-9. WORST first half QB and it showed in SF. Throws reckless game losing INTs just like he did against Broncos, Lions at home, Vikings at home, Raiders, same Steelers. This is who Love was. Play bad first half and then play reckless in the 4th quarter to lose the game with INTs.

One huge thing the media forgets is purdy never had the luxury of sitting behind someone & learn the pro game! He came in right after Jimmy & lance got hurt.. just thrown in the fire so he’s had to learn on the fly! Unlike love, mahomes who sat at least 1 year behind someone else

These 2 guys are great 🔥 on Undisputed with Michael Irvin. Their sports commentary on Undisputed feels a lot more like conversational and genuine than the screaming theatrics SAS does on First Take.
FS1 does a much better job than ESPN of finding charismatic personalities for television and letting them shine.

I hated Sherm as a Seahawks but i agree with him. I was mad at that decision to throw to Crabtree too. WHY???? Pride is right. I hated Sherm then but ever since he switched side to 49ers and help build the current culture, i love the guy.

I would say it could go either way. Key was him and sherm was him. These guys both went up against hall of famers and battled them. It really is a close one 50/50 depend on the day and depending on who throws the ball to key.

Fascinating Pod Cast, much better format than normal Undisputed with Skip Bayless. the best was at the end when both ex pro athlete Richard Sherman vs Keyshaun Johnson where competing against one another to get the upper hand. I loved it. I only played high school football but loved hearing the route running and who would do what, it was entertaining and intriguing. Only thing I lost Keyshaun when he said "I'm going to stack you" what does that mean????

Im a niner fan my whole life, but Chiefs scored 3 tds and 2 field goals against the bills defense. Allen scored 3 times and they missed a field goal. Few other people gotta take some blame too.
Yeah honestly! It was a back to back brawl it wasn’t like Josh Allen was struggling out there. And I think they mentioned one of the deep passes that he missed but that wasn’t Allen that was on his receiver, can’t remember who it was, but if Allen plays exactly how he did and the defense got more stops to win then would they say Allen did his job?

Both in their prime it really is 50/50. Keyshawn played against the best hall of famers in the game and battled with them and Richard battled hall of famers in his time as well. Key played with 18 different QB’s in his 11 seasons in the NFL and he still managed to put up hall of fame numbers whatever team he was on. That’s pretty insane what he did I don’t know any Receiverin the NFL that has done what he Keyshawn did. 10,571 yards 66 TD’s 11 seasons.

Why does one have to be better than the other all the time? Purdy played better than any QB has in YEARS if you like stats and efficiency, that is an indisputable fact that you cannot argue. Will he be just as good next year? Who knows but I'm excited to see. We know what Goff is, he pretty much hit his ceiling this year and he's a top 10 in most stats.
