You perfectly showcased the power and precision of the metal version, from its sharp handling to its rugged durability. The detailed shots and thorough breakdown of its features were chef's-kiss perfect. 👌✨ Plus, the way you pushed it to the limit in the test-wow, talk about capturing the adrenaline rush!
Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm so happy that you are pleased with the review! I think you guys have honestly nailed it with this new car. And yes, "adrenaline rush" sums up the experience of driving this wonderful rally car perfectly! 😁🙏👍
Totally recommended by the 1/10 rally car King of the UK! Hey, that's something to consider! -- Great review, pal. I'm so happy you had such a great experience with the XTS. It's really a wild machine, isn't it? Those drifting donuts can go on for days! haha.
Thanks a ton Fil, you are too kind, Sir! 🙏 So we both know how good these rally cars really are - even though you got the more powerful version, I think you'd enjoy the Metal version as much as I did! It's certainly a keeper! Haha, yeah I went giddy a few times drifting this thing in circles!!! 😅😎👍
Brilliant review Mark and a proper test in all weather!! Looks like it is water proof given that lake you smashed it through!! What a package from Rlaaaaaarrrrrllllooooo and one that gets added to my RC Rally buy list 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it my friend Craig! I had no choice but to brave the elements mate, I wish they'd released this car in the Summer! 😅 Definitely waterproof, I had no idea that puddle was THAT deep! Many thanks for the support with this rally car and talking to Annie Rlaarlo about me! 🙌 You are a star! 🤩 This car is certainly worthy of being on any RC enthusiast's list! Cheers brother! 🍻😎👊👍
Wow, thanks! But I certainly agree - all the top guys here in the comments are simply THE BEST! I wouldn't be here without these good people! Thanks for the positivity, it really does keep me driving forward! Cheers! 🍻😁👊👍
Long awaited, but we finally got the Man's take on it🙂 ..I can't wait to see the comparisons to the other tried and true rally chassis. It's hard work running after those cars, isn't it?😄
That's great of you to say, Mike! 🙏 Definitely, I hope to see some comparisons soon and I'll do some in the New Year. Haha, yes I'm too old for all this running after little cars! Cheers my friend! 🍻😎👍
Ah, the magic that happens when an "old Tamiya hand" closely inspects a modern RC! As you opened the marvellous hinged body and looked underneath, I was sharing your wonder and joy at how exquisitely made and finished some of the components are. I suppose we tend to get used to what we know and love. Though I am occasionally guilty of straying away from Tamiya, I tend to stray down-market, so this car's build quality delights me!
Hi Del and thanks for the fantastic comment! Yes being firmly in the Tamiya camp it was an eye opener to see what other manufacturers are up to! The alloy components on this car are just beautifully machined. The best thing though is that the combined features actually translate into a wonderful driving experience. Hope you are doing well and a Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄🎉😎👍
Nice look at the other version! I am glad it runs just as well as the higher priced one. I was pretty shocked on how well it did out on those wet leaves, I though for sure it would just spin out and drive terribly but it was ripping out there! great review of the kit Mark and I am glad it finally showed up!!!
Thanks Addam! My thoughts exactly, I'm glad they sent the metal version, it makes a good comparison with the other carbon version reviews out there. The spec is only a little lower, a little less speed but all the same wonderful chassis components! This was fast enough for my old senses, I can tell you! 😅 Yeah, the grip on the loose stuff totally amazed me too! Many thanks for being here my friend! 🙏😎👍
Mark, that car looks amazing!!!! I skateboarded for years and I see you got an axle grind in on the ramp, nice work! What sweet suspension and that exhaust is the badgers nadgers!
Many thanks Damian! Oh yes, it honestly is a fantastic bit of kit! Best fun I've had in the wet and cold in a long time! I used to skateboard in my youth too! Glad you spotted that grind, I was chuffed with that! It's got the silkiest suspension I've encountered and everyone loves a bit of turbo lag flame from the exhaust! Cheers my friend! 🍻😎👊👍
All I heard was something about "loose and wet". Perfect for rally cars indeed. I can't wait for the snow to leave ( in a couple months) so I can get mine on the go!
Haha, definitely loose and wet my friend! 😅 It was a good test for the new car, that's for sure! We are still snow-free here at the moment! Can't wait to see more rally content from you! Cheers! 🍻🎄😎👊
Yes Sean, it really is that good! My XV01 does 29mph and goes well on the dirt, it might be closer than you think! Definitely be fun finding out, anyway! Cheers! 🍻😎👍
You summed that up nicely Barry, it is the nuts!!! You would definitely love this car mate, and yes that overrun flame effect is the dogs danglies! Cheers pal! 🍻😎👊👍
Hey Mark, that Rlaarlo is looking fabulous indeed. I know you like your rally cars too, so a great addition to your collection. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and the family 🎁🥳🎅🎄
Thanks a ton, John!👍Oh yes rally cars are my favourite RC format! This Rlaarlo really is the dogs danglies! 😅 Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and yours too! 🎄🎉😁👍
Hey brilliant review Mark, I think you covered everything there! I hadn't realised that it was quite a bit wider than the Tamiya's but good to know they give you the option to narrow it. Apart from doing the performance comparison with the Tamiya's it would be good to look at value for money because my video on that subject has done well. What you get with this compared to a Tamiya is a really complete car including all the lights and the clever way the body attaches and just a load of things that would be hop ups on a Tamiya. Having said all that I think the XV-01 will beat it round some cones. This defo needs rally block tyres like you say. Anyway top work on the vid mate. As it's Sunday why not treat yourself to a beer 😁🍻🍻🍻
Thanks for the kind comment, Pete! 🙏 I did put a lot of effort into this one so your words are highly appreciated! Yeah it would be really interesting to see how this Rlaarlo goes with the narrower suspension arms. I totally agree with you on the value for money point - as you say, when you add up all the features on the Rlaarlo and added them to a Tamiya kit the price would be huge! I really am interested to see how my XV01 or TT02S compare, not sure but it'll be fun finding out! Thanks mate, i did enjoy a beer or three on Sunday! All the best my good friend! 🍻😎👍
Hi Timothy! I think you are correct on both counts - haha yeah it took me an hour in the sink to clean this car after the session in the woods! Cheers! 😎🍻👍
@@BasBoyRC In the real world, it certainly is! But most the Tamiya rally replicas sit on the 257mm wheelbase chassis - with a few exceptions! (MkII Escort, Beetle Rally and Renault Turbo spring to mind!) Even the Toyota Yaris Rally is on the TT02 chassis!

Thank you very much Cat! 😺🙏 You got that right, this car is off the scale for the price! Haha, funny how a little thing like that tail pipe flame effect gets us going, but I agree it's just SO cool! Love it! Thanks for always being here and a very Merry Christmas to you too - enjoy! 🍻🎄😎👊👍
