  • Gulpa Island in NSW is an amazing place for outdoor activities. Plenty of opportunities to camp, fish, boat, kayak, canoe, bushwalk and bird watch.
Gupla Island is surrounded by Edward River (which is an anabranch of the Murray River) and Gulpa Creek.
Being winter, the temperatures were low, especially overnight. However we were rewarded with amazing blue skies during the day, albeit still rather cold.

Great recount, very slow weekend on the fishing front without lack of trying. Plenty of wood burnt and some great stories told around the camp fire

Hey mate, very true. It is still great fun to get out and about and plan for the warmer months.

I know this is a question that ALL fishermen may not answer, but, where exactly on the Edward River are you?. Deniliquin area ?, further up or further down?. Tried to find the location on maps but unsuccessful. Looking for somewhere away from the crowd to set up and put the kayak in.
