Got this raid in roulette and someone was new, and apparently hadn't played Nier because he said, "It's...just a girl?" People in my party proceeded to tell each other to let him live on in ignorance.
remember, the red girl is talking to the player the entire time. she sees that her combatants are avatars of other beings and spends the first half of the fight trying to 'find' you, and when she does she hacks you
@@mikec1222 ik this is like super long ago but if you remember the scene before they go sicko mode on each other the one wanting to eliminate the threat smiled just like that lol
Having not played any of the games this raid is based on, when I first saw this boss I thought “a red girl? That’s kinda dumb.” I could understand fighting huge machines, robots, computers gone mad… but this? As if karma decided to punish me, I spent much of the actual fight dead. It was a humbling encounter.
Niear Automata is a good game i had the game for like one or two years and never touched it then i start playing it and at the start it was yea a nice game ... then the game hit really deep and i understood why this game was so good.
@@IcediamondsxWhile cinematically beautiful, it was very easy. Barely anyone gets a vuln stack nowadays. Compare that to Red Girl | Euphrosyne (1st / 3rd boss) | The Puppets’ Bunker, who all still catch people off-guard today, and you’ll see it’s way easier
I think this has to be my favorite, especially that part at 0:54. This track inspired a lot of ideas for the comic I am reworking, that I used to draw as a kid, now also doing designs for game. ^_^
WoL: If I had a gilpiece for every time a cute little girl tried to destroy all creation, Id have two gil. Which isnt a lot, but its weird that it happened twice, right?

I wouldn’t call it unfortunate. They’re done this way for two reasons as far as I know. 1. The songs are often playing during intense moments that also have Dialogue in them. The creators didn’t want the lyrics to be distracting. They don’t want you to absorb the words, just the melody and mood. 2. There are a lot of sounds and moods they wanted to use in songs, but the language they want to sing in doesnt always have the words and sounds they want for the melody. An example of that second one would be “City Ruins (Shade)”. It very clearly sounds like English more so than the other songs, but it obviously isn’t.
@@cynthricsgamingchannel9177 This is correct. Its meant to be a language based on a future where different dialects and languages have merged. Plus due to the fact that humanity is practically gone. The only reason the characters even speak English during cutscenes are so that we can understand them.

Remember: if Yoko has anything to do with it, any Nier collab/crossover is 100% canon.

You hear that? That's the sound of your party wiping
The fact that there's only one red girl says like 50 things about whatever this raid means for Nier overall
As the saying goes, 'there can be only one'.
only one?
Right, was it the one who wanted to level grind on YoRHa, or the one smart enough to not be risky like that

Play NiER Automata to find out.
It's actually a really fitting boss

I still find this fight is one of the most epic nier raids.
YES
Red Girl may act smug but the Terminals are going to learn the hard way that they picked the wrong world to mess with.
With out a doubt both red girl and the motherbeast arn't even close to the strongest monsters we faced cough cough alexander cough cough
@@Clivetdoom Not to mention they kinda pale in comparison to the likes of Meteion/Endsinger.
I LOVE THIS BOSS SO MUCH BUT I HATE HOW SHE DOESN'T BLINK
It's done on purpose, to demonstrate she is a machine.
She’s a machine. She has zero reason to blink.
Blink and you miss it
This was probably hardest 24man raid boss fight I ever had and always look forward to getting it in Alliance Roulette.

It is a shame they did not voice acted these raids. I was really shocked to learn that the Red girls have the voices of grown up dudes

my favorite fight out of all nier raids

Why not? It's a fun fight and the sidequest line to unlock this isn't crazy long, imo.

It sounds pretty but unfortunate that the lyrics are just gibberish
Bro... That's almost all of the Nier songs. It's intentional. Also, Emi Evans practically specializes in singing in Chaos language like this

Last I remember the songs in Nier were supposed to be some fictional language that's a mix of Gaelic, German, and Japanese.
