Laws should be same for all the citizens regardless of their personal beliefs. Laws should be made based on justice and equal rights (based on rationality). Making an exception for Muslims in Indian consitituion is a violation of justice and equal rights.
They never accept nation first concept. They always believe religion first. Out of country they are very good citizens. In India they want to destroy government property. This story of Muslims making a "hukkumat" on India for 1000 years, is just a story, Arvindji. Please read your history not from what was created by Maxists after independence, but from the histories written by the historians of the Muslim Hukkumats themselves. Even the idea that India was taken from the Mughals by the British and so should have been handed over to the Mughals is wrong. The British took over India from the Sikhs and the Marathas. In fact, there is a proverb in India that the last Mughal raj was from "Delhi to Palam." The Mughals had to make a contract with the Marathas for protection from outside interference. The Marathas tended to keep the ruling elite without disturbance provided they paid heavily for it. Even "Aurangzeb the Great" who was the last "powerful" Mughal, was what in today's parlance, is called "dauda, dauda ke marra" --made to run all over India for safety by Shivaji's daughter-in-law Tarabai, who made him run around so much that he died still running towards Delhi but never reaching it. He died in Aurangabad and his tomb was a mud patch till the British build a marble enclosure over it. If this was the state of Aurangzeb, one can only wonder at how much trouble the other, lesser Mughals were in throughout their "1000 year" rule. Maratha rule was known to have been from Attak to Cuttak and from today's Uttarakhand to Travancore. Even today, the ruler of Travancore is from Shivaji's brother's dynasty. Arvindji, the Hindu kings who fought under the "flag" of Bahadur Shah Jaffer only did so because otherwise, the Muslims refused to join the fight against the British. The Hindus did not mind if they alone had to fight the British, but the fear was that the British would make the Muslims join them instead, by pretending they believed in Bahadur Jaffer's "Empire.' Also, I think, the main idea was that if they did loose the war, he would be punished most. It did turn out that they lost and poor Bahadur Shah, who actually did not want to head any war at all, had to leave India for Rangoon. Please read the actual history of India and not some drivel created by Marxist "historians." By the way, protection of cows is in our constitution itself and most states have a law against it. Can Illiyas ji tell us which line in the Koran says Muslim must kill cows or give cows as their sacrifice? NONE. So Muslims have no right to demand being allowed to sacrifice cows. If it was one of the requirements of Islam, it might even have been considered, but it is not. It is only the requirement of Indian Muslims to give pain to the Hindu majority. Can the Hindus sacrifice pigs and ask their Muslim neighbors to share the meat? Hindus went to other countries looking for a better life. They did not think they should change the life styles of those to whom it was their home. That would not be hypocrisy. It would be an extremely high self image of a people who are poor enough to want to go to other countries, but still want that country's natives to change their life style to suit the immigrants. Only Muslims have the temerity and gross bad manners to do so.

Interesting talk. How can we have UCC with exceptions, for whatever reasons? Even a single exception will only serve to dilute the essence of equality before law and negate the very purpose of UCC, both in spirit and law. The sooner the Muslims realise this the faster they can assimilate into a society in which they have decided to live and prosper.
We Muslims are supposed to be brothers among ourselves. You Hindus are our neighbours in this country, at most. I don't have to live like my neighbours to live peacefully with them. We all see this day and night in good societies and good families. To live peacefully, we have to come up with a formula that accommodates our differences, and not aim to dissolve them. No one should force the other to live up to their standards. Unless we infringe upon someone's life or property or honor, you can't tell us to bend our standards. For example, You can force Muslims to not follow triple talaq on the BASIS that it dishonors and oppresses women, AND NOT on the basis that YOU think our religion is irrelevant in this matter or that we understand our laws inadequately. If any religious laws cause problems with people's life, property or honor, we should prevent them from being practiced, no matter which religion.

You can't expect people to abandon thousands of years of their traditions and suddenly become "Indians". Neither Hindus nor Muslims would be ready to do it. That is why even British judges refrained from strict action in certain criminal cases pertaining to the Hindu community, which were linked to old cultural or traditional practices, saying that change should come from within the community. There was a case of a little Hindu girl dying after marriage to a much older man, on her bed. There were a few other cases like these, and the judges exhibited caution and restraint while awarding punishments in their judgements.

In reality there is a concept of ummah in islam not nation. This is the real concept so, there will always be influence of outside islamic powers on Indian muslims. So, when I say by its unsecular , that what it is originally as a concept, that's why there is islamic states. So, I dont think that literally is possible, a court having two different laws as per different religion will never work. I'd like to draw your attention to Art. 48 of the constitution. Principally it's expected of the state to prohibit slaughter of cows and calves etc. If anyone has problem with that they have an option to migrate to any other country that they find appropriate. Also it must be taken into consideration that initially the framers of Constitution had not declared this nation to be a secular state though it also did not have any state religion. Please make informed comments.
The people who framed the constitution, were they divinely appointed ? Sure the laws will be binding on the people after they are passed and people should not break them and create nuisance. But this is a bit extremist to tell the people to GET OUT straight away, without talking to them or negotiating with them. But in the end, if both parties don't come to an agreement, the Indian Government, on an official government level, should tell us Muslims to leave INDIA and go else where. Laws should be same for all the citizens regardless of their personal beliefs. Laws should be made based on justice and equal rights (based on rationality). Making an exception for Muslims in Indian consitituion is a violation of justice and equal rights.

They never accept nation first concept. They always believe religion first. Out of country they are very good citizens. In India they want to destroy government property. Not whole but few are thinking this line but most unfortunate that literate people are thinking this line. This increase in present days very fast due to social media. This story of Muslims making a "hukkumat" on India for 1000 years, is just a story, Arvindji. Please read your history not from what was created by Maxists after independence, but from the histories written by the historians of the Muslim Hukkumats themselves. Even the idea that India was taken from the Mughals by the British and so should have been handed over to the Mughals is wrong. The British took over India from the Sikhs and the Marathas. In fact, there is a proverb in India that the last Mughal raj was from "Delhi to Palam." The Mughals had to make a contract with the Marathas for protection from outside interference. The Marathas tended to keep the ruling elite without disturbance provided they paid heavily for it. Even "Aurangzeb the Great" who was the last "powerful" Mughal, was what in today's parlance, is called "dauda, dauda ke marra" --made to run all over India for safety by Shivaji's daughter-in-law Tarabai, who made him run around so much that he died still running towards Delhi but never reaching it. He died in Aurangabad and his tomb was a mud patch till the British build a marble enclosure over it. If this was the state of Aurangzeb, one can only wonder at how much trouble the other, lesser Mughals were in throughout their "1000 year" rule. Maratha rule was known to have been from Attak to Cuttak and from today's Uttarakhand to Travancore. Even today, the ruler of Travancore is from Shivaji's brother's dynasty. Arvindji, the Hindu kings who fought under the "flag" of Bahadur Shah Jaffer only did so because otherwise, the Muslims refused to join the fight against the British. The Hindus did not mind if they alone had to fight the British, but the fear was that the British would make the Muslims join them instead, by pretending they believed in Bahadur Jaffer's "Empire.' Also, I think, the main idea was that if they did loose the war, he would be punished most. It did turn out that they lost and poor Bahadur Shah, who actually did not want to head any war at all, had to leave India for Rangoon. Please read the actual history of India and not some drivel created by Marxist "historians." By the way, protection of cows is in our constitution itself and most states have a law against it. Can Illiyas ji tell us which line in the Koran says Muslim must kill cows or give cows as their sacrifice? NONE. So Muslims have no right to demand being allowed to sacrifice cows. If it was one of the requirements of Islam, it might even have been considered, but it is not. It is only the requirement of Indian Muslims to give pain to the Hindu majority. Can the Hindus sacrifice pigs and ask their Muslim neighbors to share the meat? Hindus went to other countries looking for a better life. They did not think they should change the life styles of those to whom it was their home. That would not be hypocrisy. It would be an extremely high self image of a people who are poor enough to want to go to other countries, but still want that country's natives to change their life style to suit the immigrants. Only Muslims have the temerity and gross bad manners to do so.

Interesting talk. How can we have UCC with exceptions, for whatever reasons? Even a single exception will only serve to dilute the essence of equality before law and negate the very purpose of UCC, both in spirit and law. The sooner the Muslims realise this the faster they can assimilate into a society in which they have decided to live and prosper.
We Muslims are supposed to be brothers among ourselves. You Hindus are our neighbours in this country, at most. I don't have to live like my neighbours to live peacefully with them. We all see this day and night in good societies and good families.
To live peacefully, we have to come up with a formula that accommodates our differences, and not aim to dissolve them. No one should force the other to live up to their standards.
Unless we infringe upon someone's life or property or honor, you can't tell us to bend our standards.
For example, You can force Muslims to not follow triple talaq on the BASIS that it dishonors and oppresses women, AND NOT on the basis that YOU think our religion is irrelevant in this matter or that we understand our laws inadequately.
If any religious laws cause problems with people's life, property or honor, we should prevent them from being practiced, no matter which religion.

That is not a solution. That is a recipe for trouble. India was born yesterday. You can't expect people to abandon thousands of years of their traditions and suddenly become "Indians". Neither Hindus nor Muslims would be ready to do it.
The solution is to talk to the community's representatives and tell them: "These so and so laws or traditions of yours are causing damages to life/property/honour of people, do something about it or the state will take necessary action in THAT aspect."
"Uniformity" in the civil code would definitely lead to trouble.
You may think that the Islamic tradition was barbaric and Muslims behaved like savages. But even during that time of conquests and kingdoms, Muslims gave certain communities a limited right to govern certain aspects of their community's social life according to that community's religious or traditional laws.
If you try to make uniform, that which is inherently non-uniform, by force of law, it leads to mutiny or corruption or both.
That is why even British judges refrained from strict action in certain criminal cases pertaining to the Hindu community, which were linked to old cultural or traditional practices, saying that change should come from within the community.
There was a case of a little Hindu girl dying after marriage to a much older man, on her bed. There were a few other cases like these, and the judges exhibited caution and restraint while awarding punishments in their judgements.

In reality there is a concept of ummah in islam not nation. This is the real concept so, there will always be influence of outside islamic powers on Indian muslims. So, I dont think that literally is possible, a court having two different laws as per different religion will never work. - whether religion is for human or human exists for religion,
- for Muslim, which is supreme,
relgion or nation. It will be very interesting to know his views
I'd like to draw your attention to Art. 48 of the constitution. Principally it's expected of the state to prohibit slaughter of cows and calves etc. If anyone has problem with that they have an option to migrate to any other country that they find appropriate. Also it must be taken into consideration that initially the framers of Constitution had not declared this nation to be a secular state though it also did not have any state religion. Please make informed comments.
The people who framed the constitution, were they divinely appointed ? Sure the laws will be binding on the people after they are passed and people should not break them and create nuisance.
But this is a bit extremist to tell the people to GET OUT straight away, without talking to them or negotiating with them. But in the end, if both parties don't come to an agreement, the Indian Government, on an official government level, should tell us Muslims to leave INDIA and go else where. That would be whole new task, and I would appreciate it as a Muslim.
But the political parties, instead deal with this problem in a very cowardly and corrupt way. They organise and instigate people to harrass the muslims.

If you have qualms with certain laws in the country and if the government is adamant on keeping those laws you are free to leave if you do not agree with the same laws. no one is telling you to get out right away, sure there are portions of the majority who might be saying these things but that does not change reality. Also Art. 48 is not infringing on your religious freedoms. It isn't mandatory in your religion to consume beef. So there is no infringing of your religious laws but it does not agree with the religion of the majority of the people in this country. To be frankly honest I do not care about what people eat, but the majority of the people do.

Who are you to decide what is and is not mandatory in my religion. Muslims are the ones who should do so.
My argument is not, that, hindus should think that cow is NOT sacred.
My argument is that they should not force the muslims to conform to their standard.
Hindus can rightly make laws against their own people whonare involved in Cow slaughtering. I won't mind it.

If you are suggesting migration as a solution, then I would suggest that the Indian Government make it easy for us. Currently we are the citizens of India, we have certain rights and duties to this country. We also have to bribe Govt. officers to have our work done, just like Hindus.
That's why I asked that the BJP govt. take this seriously and make it easy for us to leave this country. You can't just treat 250 million people like cockroaches and tell them to "Go to Pakistan".
Instead of this political maneuvering nonsense, ask the Pakistani govt. to open its borders to us Indian Muslims as it did around 1947.
If they don't accept us, do you suggest that we jump in the Arabian sea or the Bay of Bengal ?
