Finally someone on TH-cam who makes a video that plays what its title says, is well filmed, interesting - sorry - make that absolutely enthralling, and has telemetry for the viewer. How exciting! Love this vid 10/10.
Having watched F1 for many years now i gotta say i enjoyed this 100 times more, this has got to be the purest form of racing, im so tempted to try one of these karts !!!
Hi Changing gears becomes natural when you have driven for some times, especially if you have done som Kz1/Kz2 races. I also have shiftlights on top of the AIM laptimer on the steering wheel. Laptimer also shows which gear i am in so if you have not memorized how many gears you should downshift you can alwas look at the gear indicator. I have quickshift on this engine so i dont need to lift the throttle. F1 cars are extremely quick normally 20-30 sec faster then us per lap.
What place did you finish? It looked like a pretty good race, though your tires looked like they were gettin worn around lap 10. I wish I could afford to get into karting, right now I work at a rental kart track with little karts with Honda GX200s with 6.5 HP doin about 30 around our little track lol. My boss though runs Rotax here at the local track and it would be awesome to get into karting. Obviously not right into Rotax, but something to start with.
Awesome bits of kit! I race in formula Jedi myself, they do very similar lap times to a div 1 Superkart, Jedi feels very fast indeed! Can't imagine what it must feel like doing those speeds in a kart! amazing! Is that Gavin Bennett in the kart in front of you? He was racing at Donington when I was racing Jedi two weeks ago, he looked very fast indeed and broke the Superkart lap record by a long way. Amazing, I would love to drive one of these one day.
that is scary how fast you are around snetterton compared to things like F3's, Formula Vee's, Formula Ford's and all those. quick question though, What is the camera you use to record these races and how do you get the HUD on screen
Hi, I would love to try one, but i think it will be impossible to drive because the wheels would spin all the time. The topspeed would crasy too, i would guess around 300 km/h. I think it would be crasy to make a class like this with 30-60 compettitors for a race, as we are now.
Hi Scotty I would say that jumping from yamaha 100 cc to a superkart is to big a step. I would recommend you to try at least a 125 cc shifter kart before buying a Superkart. Division 1 (the internattional superkart) is not easy to maintain, it demands quite a lot of work, but it's really fast on the track :-)
Hi, I have been driving gokarts for more than 20 years now.. all sorts of classes and now ended up in Superkart Division 1 which is the fastest gokart you can get. I leave nearby the PVP manufactor (wwwpvpkartcom) and started after discussion with Poul (mister PVP).
Hey Henrik, does racing superkarts (particularly 250 International) have a steep learning curve(after only racing 10hp 100cc yamaha j sprint kart) or are they relatively easy to get up and running quickly?Any tips on things to look out for when buying a second hand superkart as new superkarts are out of my price range. Thanks and keep up the awesome videos
Hey, Henrik, finally some new stuff, eh? :) I was wondering where that no. 7 got that extra boost that let him pass you back in the middle of the race. The first guy was pulling away too, though, so it might have been something with your kart. Anyway, nice performance. Was the track slightly damp or is it just me?
you got tired around 12:00 starting to make alot of mistakes great racing wish i could step up from my kz2. drove snetterton to at that event in the 125icc open
i think the apexs were hurting him. A couple of times was in the wrong gear. Concentration is difficult to keep up and the wearing on your body is crazy. Nice race and good job.
It sounds like your engine was running just a little bit too lean at the higher RPMs.If you would have had a little bit more fuel available when you were flat out you would have been able to overtake in the corners after you made up in the long straights. Just an observance. Good race though.
Great driving from both drivers, too much corner speed means slower exit speed, i have struggled with this as i love the speed in to the corner too. The kart needs to be settled and straight on exit for maximum accelaertion a lot of fast drivers always look slower in the corner. In one of the slow corner the guy in front takes a wider line maybe a little more grip as the surface is not worn and also keeps the speed slightly higher for a better exit. in the faster stuff he is margainly slowler but then pulls more down the straight. Turns in later takes a smoother line. Jealous in every part and great driving from both. Wish i could afford
Totally agree. The amount of people just saying the guy in front has more power. That may be true but there is certainly also a difference in driving styles. Fast in slow out, or slow in fast out, take your pick. Great driving by both.

One of my inspirations to start racing superkarts. Watched your videos so many times , always amazing on the brakes. Thanks for the uploads

Over 124mph in a go-kart! You are ridiculously brave! :D
kph noob
***** I know the speed shown is in km/h, but 200km/h is equivalent to 124mph.

I finished 3rd in this race.
Get into karting as fast as possible :-)

Hi Ivan, track was completely dry.
Nr. 7 has an engine that runs faster then everybody elses, hard to do anything about it on the straights,
Insane speed!
You guys are insane :D

Henrik, what made you start wanting to do this and how did you get started ?
what camera do you use ????
GOpro2 cameraes, Trackvision software. AIM datalogger file.
jeps... men de er også foran på udviklingen. Vi burde kunne hente mere power.
How much does any of this cost,Henrik?
+Konstantinos Gionakis used karts that are useable from around 10.000 euro. new ones from 20-30.000 euro.
technical details?

Whats the engine mate??

Nope.
PVP 250 cc
look at pvpkart.com
anyone who watched from the beginning....10:56, number 7, out of nowhere! bam!. ;)
Not more horse power different gearing
why is his engine allowed to run faster!?
he is so much faster, thats unfair!
Ridiculously long gearing and something wrong with your tyres this probably was the difference P1 to P3
Øv hvor er der bare for meget træk i de DEA maskiner
Gopro2
its only dick's racing this track ;-P
