Wow, 35.6, 35.7, 35.7, 35.9, 36.2. This guy is so good you can actually watch the tires go away simply by watching the stopwatch. He's a machine. Some of the smoothest driving and most consistantly on line I've ever seen in a kart, ever. Even when the thing slides on him and he misses the entry by a little bit, he still maintains momentum and saves the lap.
I guess the top speeds at Le Mans version short are not very high by superkarting standards (of course 220 kph in a small vehicle is still outrageous). The 2-cycle sound is fabulous! The kart setup is perfect - not much steering input required, some oversteer. I've enjoyed watching - NICE! Thank you!
It´s like rugby and American Football. Football without gear is suicide like F1 without protection is suicide as well. Rugby and Kart are simply not too dangerous. It also looks more dangerous on tape/video than it really is. Otherwise, there would be more safety things.
henrik..are you the driver here??This is bad ass..my brother in-laws brother was an enduro racer as well..i my self was a dirt racer..ill be getting into pavement again after watching this..makez my eyes pop out a my head!!!🇺🇸😎👊💪❤
ok who is the driver,i see that karts still have the same chassis wind up in the turns , what chassis was it . i retired from superkarts in 1990, doesnt seem alot different except the gopro ,amazin vid but am surprised there was not 10 others stuck up your chuff, must have a killer motor
I reckon that to drive this kind of go-kart is as difficult as a GP2 car, even though the top speed is lower. Yet the level of dangerousness is higher, due to the lack of proper protections for drivers.
you drove well! looked as if you can handle a little more gear in 6th, topping out at n needed a little more in long straights! obvious you have great equipment! id love to drive that cart. may not turn your times but it would be fun.
it never occurred to me a clutch to be on a steering wheel. what a clever design! so right foot on gas, left foot on brake all the time? it can up/downshift without clutch right? what happens if you spin, do you have to pull a clutch to keep engine running? does it have a starter motor?
Nothing amazing about it. Excellent drive, but comparing Marquez to this bloke is insane. One is on a bike that will only allow a certain speed through corners and the other has 4 wheels is an inch of the ground and cuts through corners like a hot knife through butter. I used to race SuperKarts a while back and the corner speed is enough to push the air out of your lungs. I also race bikes (now). All that said, great drive mate.
That looks intense. That thing jumps around like crazy and flies like a son-of-a-gun! Looks like you could even use a little bit longer 6th gear. I'm no expert but that thing tops out pretty quick and 5th and 6th seem a little too close to me. I don't know if you do gear changes to fit specific tracks or have set ratios. Im sure you are much wiser than I.. lol Great lines and awesome machine!!
Is very enjoyable to watch you drive Henrik....do you mind answering a few question please? 1) How old are you? 2) How long have you been karting? 3) How frequently do you pratice and for how long each session? 4) Do you sim race at all? :P
I am 33 years Driving different karting classes for 20+ years only do races, aprox 6-7 a year No sim racing. I only need 5 laps on a track then it's programmed in my harddrive (my head).
is it ok that i have a custom built from ground up to race? for example if i wield a go kart to shape and put a good to excellent racing engine on is it ok i race with it on the track?
No, you can do the frame but it has to fulfill some rules about dimensions, brakes etc. The engine needs to be homologated and approved for Superkart. This you have to buy specific. go look at www.pvpkart.com
Congratulations. The water temperature is only 42 celsius degrees, is that correct? normaly is 80 celsius degrees. The motor is a V or a twin (side by side) one crank or two? If you could get a 125 cc moto world championship the power could be about 130 HP BR
Florent De Marsilly I disagree, I'm brazilian and it is VERY expensive to be a kart racer here...only rich people do it professionally, and the kart racing in general is not on TV, or radio at all
hey Henrik what do you keep doing with your hand reaching back when your behind the pace car, are you blocking the radiator trying to keep water temps up? Just curious, Great video!
Your going to want to start out with something a little slower lol look on craigslist for something with a 5hp flathead. I have a vintage with a animal motor, its just like everything. Great hobby to get into! Let me know if you have any questions!
Yes but i have never heard about a person that didn't know what Le Mans was... And since Neal asked "where is the track, i want to try it" i figured this guy something about racing (why would you else want to try a racetrack) :-)
Fandme godt kørt.. Dog er dine videoer hvor du overhaler langt federe at se, men de her er jo langt bedre for karrieren.. Tillykke med sejren.. Du må da næsten fører i mesterskabet sådan som du kører..?
The safety car period ends at 10:00.
??
Mg thank u dude
neil78b No one wants to see lapping under SC.
wow, looks mega fun. driven a 70mph go kart and that was mental but this looks like insane fun

surprised how much power you have from a 2 stroke 2 cylinder!! looks epic to race in
2gs in the corners and hitting 140mph wow! Very smooth karting ? Congratulations!
SKIP to 10:00 mark to skip over the pace car. / Yellow flags.
Thanks!
It's so amazing, when Henrik really takes off past the line you get the sense of heavy G's pushing you.
This is mind blowing the speed it got.... Huge braking .... Absolutely brilliant dude
i could watch this all day.
Hi, we dont use the kart track since it is for normal karts. We use the Bugatti circuit which the 24h le mans race also use parts of.
I guess the top speeds at Le Mans version short are not very high by superkarting standards (of course 220 kph in a small vehicle is still outrageous). The 2-cycle sound is fabulous! DUDE, YOU LED FROM START TO FINISH.
THIS ROUND NOBODY COULD TOUCH YOU..
i love this fucking sound ... i love 2t sound
Love watching your videos. Questions - why not use paddle shifters on these types of karts? Why no seat belts?
Great race mate well deserved win there!
Thanks for this! Wonderful to watch and certainly VERY impressive
Amazing driving bro. Would love to race these karts one day. Right now im doing formula mclarens 1300. I hope i will race these beasts soon.
Good going Henrik looks like man and machine in harmony lap after lap great.
Great driving and restart.Well deserved 3rd place in the championship.
You are a mix between The Iceman & The Stig...., that's a compliment henrik ://)
@james bailey nope this is my own race video shot with gopro2 camera. graphics are added after the video has been shot.
How could FIA sanction this, yet they constantly trying to make F1 completely closed cab with speeds just 1,5 times higher.
exactly wt im thinking..
Don't remind them that there's some fun motoring on 4 wheels left to ruin.
Big difference in speed I guess?
It´s like rugby and American Football. Football without gear is suicide like F1 without protection is suicide as well. Rugby and Kart are simply not too dangerous. It also looks more dangerous on tape/video than it really is. Otherwise, there would be more safety things.

@reedjet yes you are Right. Trying to keep up the temp. BR Henrik
220kph=136mph on the straights, awesome!!!!! One more thing great video.
Yes PVP ships all over the world.. Australia, south africa, US, everywhere..
God damn HotTrack ..... sweet driving and a well deserved win. Congrats m8 :-)
i want a shifter kart now

Drifting in the sunlit patches!!!! Nice bud, you got more balls than I do!
Gj for the win;
ps :you win this in my city !
When it race. I keep my kart moving between 150 to 140 because I have installed a really good steering kit. $200
gotta love telemtry gs speed coure awesome fantastic racing at its purest.
you drove well! looked as if you can handle a little more gear in 6th, topping out at n needed a little more in long straights! obvious you have great equipment! id love to drive that cart. may not turn your times but it would be fun.

this is friggin awesome
Hi Anthony,
Marshalls are showing a yellow flag and safetycar sign, so we slow down.
Great Racing Bro.👍
3:25 what are you holding on to or adjusting?
I am blocking the radiator air intake with my hand to increase the water temperature.
I Use software called Trackvision together with my AIM EVO 4 datalogger and Gopro2 camera.
136 MPH is flying. 2 strokes make a lot of power.
I think its around 2 G's but i heard that on lausitzring you can have 3,5 G's..
I saw a Le Mans Kart track from a helicopter shot during the 24 hours of Le Mans. Looks so damn fun!
BTW guys, at 10:00 the safety car finally goes in to the pits.
200 kmh fantastic
Thanks a lot!

and thanks for the upload..
Voila du pilotage…
J'adore….
Moi aussi

What do you need to put the telemetry on the screen? A transponder on the Kart itself as well?

No sim racing. I only need 5 laps on a track then it's programmed in my harddrive (my head).
How much money do you spend on karting? I am 32 and would love to start here in Croatia @@henriklilja
What did you do at 1:20 when you slowed down? you raised your arm too
is it ok that i have a custom built from ground up to race? for example if i wield a go kart to shape and put a good to excellent racing engine on is it ok i race with it on the track?

go look at www.pvpkart.com
ok then with the rules it is better to ask than just go in and race so thanks for it

BR
I need to drive this kart.where it's available.
amazing but isnt marquez in the smaller bike category
How fast are these in comparison to formula 3000 or a formula ford? Did you ever get picked up for sports car racing after winning these things?
Dan good job!
Why brazilians, germans, british, french and finnish are very good racing drivers?
US 23 Difficult to say. They have money, and are in countries where the sport is well-known. So they do it more.
Florent De Marsilly I disagree, I'm brazilian and it is VERY expensive to be a kart racer here...only rich people do it professionally, and the kart racing in general is not on TV, or radio at all
do you have a clutch with those or what?
No, he is in MotoGP this year. Rgds
So scary, imagine how fast the small tires spins
hey Henrik what do you keep doing with your hand reaching back when your behind the pace car, are you blocking the radiator trying to keep water temps up? Just curious, Great video!
hand clutch behind the steering wheel
Nice driver!!
incredible how fast karts can go
Now this is proper karting!
Were you using the PVP 252 motor? Any mods?
this is the standard 252 engine. no mods.
nice driving
combien de cm3 ? et le son est magnifique =)
je pense 250cc ,
Have u ever been to mosport
Sounds like an LMP1 a bit on the higher rpms
How do you record your speed and the laps?
Why do you raise your arm at 3:26?
does pvp ship in the US?
Where abouts did you get your superkart from?!
www.pvpkart.com
Your going to want to start out with something a little slower lol look on craigslist for something with a 5hp flathead. I have a vintage with a animal motor, its just like everything. Great hobby to get into! Let me know if you have any questions!
yyyoopho
at www.pvpkart.com
What data logger and acquition program did you use? it looks nice, do you mind letting me know? thanks a lot.
Ok thanks.
wonder how this 250cc make those speed?
u mean High End Engine and Custom Transmission?
yep
Noo.. smartycams sucks. This is made with GoPro, AIM laptimer and a software called Trackvision.
May i ask you how old are you and when did you start karting?
how do you get to do this races ? how did you do it ?
What do you mean? you buy a superkart, get a license on your country from the union, join a race!
What telemetry/software do you use to get all that data?
Yes but i have never heard about a person that didn't know what Le Mans was... And since Neal asked "where is the track, i want to try it" i figured this guy something about racing (why would you else want to try a racetrack)
:-)
which datalogging program do you use? looks great with cam!
AIM EVO 4 logger, Trackvision software, Gopro camera's
Damn this cart goes hella fast !!!
Fandme godt kørt.. Dog er dine videoer hvor du overhaler langt federe at se, men de her er jo langt bedre for karrieren.. Tillykke med sejren.. Du må da næsten fører i mesterskabet sådan som du kører..?
how many drivers did drive in this race?
I can't remember, somewhere between 35 and 50 drivers is the normal.
Crazy fun!
Do you record this video with SmartyCam?
It would be cool if the safety car was also a kart, but red and with sirens :D
Very good
It looks like your kart was better set up for this race than race 2
its a super kart of qhat they call them
what a beast!
I think it uses a dog clutch??
Henri what's your age
