- Louisville's Southside neighborhoods border the Louisville International Airport and are considered to be lower middle class for the most part. You won't find many affluent neighborhoods down this way as it's more-so a blue-collar area. Good area to buy a home in if you want cheap, but you'll get what you pay for as you'll also get below average schools and other services.

Thanks! Beautiful video!! I loved the back ground music (loved the Shively video and background music!). My dad and step-mother lived in Beechmont off Southern Parkway for over 30 years. Familiar with all the streets covered. Great shot of Rutherford School (my step-mother taught fourth grade at Rutherford for over 40 years). I have spent many hours bike riding around these neighborhoods when visiting from Oregon. Yes, the Happy Birthday house is on Kenwood Hill. And yes, south west Lville is a more “boring” part of town but it’s a GREAT/SAFE place to grow up!! I LOVED it! Especially with the YMCA right there! Which is the only thing that separated my neighborhood and where Ms. Taylor was shot. Which we just called those apts “Fordhaven” they were just “low rent” apts we used to get weed from lol
