- At this point the Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Darth Revan is old, relatively speaking, but I was finally able to grab it on Amazon after not trying too awfully hard to grab it. I have no attachment to Knights of the Old Republic or the character so I wasn't in a hurry. It ends up being a nice figure. Hindered, but nice.

KOTOR is overrated. Doesn't mean I dislike Revan, but the games were surface level garbage in my opinion.

Really hope they put Revan back in the canon. Rebels was teasing him during the later parts of Season Two, but didn't go all the way. He's too cool of a character not to use.
The release of this figure may be a testament to that idea, as I doubt Hasbro would use non-canon characters at this point under disney's watch.
ThatGuy CalledPhil this was a fan choice winner. They are doing another fan choice with jaina solo coming out later this year. She is also no longer canon and will never be considering Kylo Ren is her replacement lol. Still hope for Revan though.
They're making a Jaina Solo.. sooo yeah just because we got a Revan, doesn't mean he'll become canon.
That's right, forgot about the contest. However, the unreleased storyline for Ahsoka by the ending of the clone wars was made Canon through her novel, so perhaps the same footage with Revan could somehow be adapted as well.
Alonso Andara If they pull him back into canon it should be something subtle, i would love to just get a glimpse of his mask and possibly a lightsaber in thrawns art collection

@@JC-dz5ur The sith that established the rule of two. He had a trilogy of books about him, one of the best pieces of star wars media. Highly recommend.

Revan and Nihilus are probably two of the best designed sith lords in the entire SW universe, along with Vader and Tyrannus. Desann was also pretty damn good looking. I feel like the rest are for the most time overdone and way too Sithy, which to me wouldnt be how sith lords look like.
It's boba fett like because he took the mask from a mandalorian woman he killed when we went to lead the republic in the mandalorian wars against the will of the council.
I'm a big Revan nut, cannot recommend Knights of the Old Republic enough (especially the updated iPhone/iPad version). The only other key material (if you care), is the novel Revan. The second KOTOR is good, but does not focus on Revan's story
Btw there are several great videos about replacing the sash with red corduroy which looks great

While the final ending of Revan's story is only revealed during the extension "Shadow of Revan" in the online game "Star Wars: The Old Republic". :-)
I love reading about how much trouble all the people that actually wanted this figure had getting it... And I just happened to find it in a gamestop one day and impulse bought it.

I just started collecting and saw him in a Walmart the other week and didn’t know rare he was and didn’t pick him up and now I can’t find it anywhere. Easily can say I hate myself for this.
I love Revan soo much, almost embarrassed how much I payed for it when it first came out LOL
Robo, congratulations for reviewing an iconic video game character from the 2000's. Revan's still video game history to many folks. Once you learn Revan's backstory, you'll definitely want figures of all others who encountered him in his lifetime. HK-47 and Bastila, among others. Hasbro might not get to manufacturing those guys so soon, though.

There is a lot of people who are only/mostly interested in the movies and don´t know much about the expanded universe material.

ArmaBiologica35 As Robo has noted in the past, he's definitely experienced and been of a fan of a fair amount of EU material in the past, like many of the comics by Dark Horse. He just hasn't played KOTOR.
If you haven't played KOTOR why would you know about Revan? No big deal I'm a huge Star Wars fan but there's a ton of EU Characters I'm not familiar with. You don't have to know them all.
That's exactly the situation. I was always a comics and movie kinda guy, never had a computer that would run games properly so I missed out on all of that side of the EU.
Heck yeah after I picked up this figure I had to do some research on him too ended up loving the character
You may have guessed he plays both jedi and sith at various points in the KOTOR game, which is why he has the two lightsabers, but he doesn't wield them together.

Definitely cool! I think the images from licenced product will tell the story. He is the subject of a lot of fan artwork that does look pretty awesome. Yeah lots of dual saber posing, just not from game promos. I mean I could be wrong. I haven't played the game for 10 years or something, but he is a one saber at a time guy in the game.
When you fight him(yourself) on Koribaan he uses both🤷🏻♂️

I love this figure. Now we need Bastila, and Malak, and a bandai model kit of HK-47.
He's an old republic character who lived a long life of going from light to dark and back again and vice versa. That's also why two lightsabers were included to have a sith lord look or more of his jedi look I guess of the struggle between light and dark this character has gone through.
The more I learn the more interesting this figure is. And the more I want to find a perfect spot for it in the display...

Trawn and Raven are the 2 BaddAss Villains not existing in the Movie's 😁🖒 and are hard to find for a good price

The Revan reveal dropped my jaw in KOTOR!
The only problem I have with him is, there is no where to hang his light saber hilts
For my taste he's the best Jedi-Sith from his time actually top 5 in the entire Star Wars mythos super bad ass character and his story is bad ass too

yea my figure also has loose ankles so posing him is kinda hard if you dont use a pin base, and that rubber loin cloth pissed me off, so i cut i off and replaced it with a wire and cloth version, which made alot of poses easy to do.

They need to make more figures of Legends characters. I'm suprised they actually went with it since they're non-canon. Feel it was more of Hasbro's input than Disney, but Disney had to have given permission to use the names and looks of a character that they quite literally erased.

Australian brother what shop did you find it in. I have had not luck with this wave. The "Reject shop" has been stocking most of the Rogue One 3.75s at $8 a piece if your interested. I've collected most of the 3.75 line out of sheer frustration.
It was in a Toy Kingdom. All the Black Series figures were dropped to $17 before they released the 40th Anniversary figures. I got Revan and Sabine both $17 each.

The hood is glued down to the shoulders. Heavily glued.

Yeah, I never saw it in person. Hell, barely saw it online, just got lucky with the timing.
I never even got this wave at my local stores.It's ridiculous.Literally never saw this in store and only saw the 40th sw figs which were only leia, vader, and the occasional jawa.I remember a time when I would go to walmart or target and actually find something new and sought for.
I played kotor on my iPad never had an og xbox. It was still awesome even on an iPad.
Mine doesn't have the bubbles in the lightsaber. But my ROTJ Luke does have them, so it's a factory thing.

Robo I would completely recommend you check out Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic it is one of the first Star Wars games that decided to say you know what we don't have to make stories take place anywhere near the original trilogy or even prequels. This game's story decides to take place 1000 years before the rise of Darth Vader and the best part is the world and the story ultimately felt like Star Wars and it's great. I completely recommend it, there is a reason why this character is a fan favorite and many hopes that Disney would put this back in canon.
P.S. Don't look up this character or any other ones just play the game trust me it's relatively cheap and worth the price it is on steam.

Raven is one of the coolest characters in Star wars I wish I would make some more clone wars figures like gar Saxon from rebels or clone wars pre vizsla Savage opress and they made a dirge with a swoop bike it's an old figure I wish they would have it in 6-in cuz I loved dirge and maybe cal scurrata

It was sooooo difficult for me to get this damned figure! I was waiting for it to come alongside the other figures of its wave but only a few were arrived to Barcelona and I guess they were vanished as soon as they hit the shelves. I thought this was a problem only in Europe but it seems it's been so hard for everyone to find it everywhere.
What's wrong with Hasbro? This character was a fan choice in one of the polls they organise... I thought they would at least make sure the figure wasn't going to be an actual pain in the ass to find. I had to pay for it even more than for most of my import toys from Japan.
If I could find another one I'd probably tear that awful plastic hood down and swipe it for a black cape from rickhor409 seller from ebay. I know it would look great. Unfortunately, finding another Revan is Mission: Impossible.

I started reading the 'legend' non canon book Revan, he seems like a really intriguing character! He kinda gets twisted towards the dark side, there something about Mandalorian Wars & shit? Then he I believe gets rescued & had his memory wiped by the Jedi council (he was a Knight, anyway so to forget his "dark deeds", but then oh shit, duh, he basically forgets everything including his wife, and I forgot if marriage was "ok" for Jedi in that time per. -few hund. yrs BBY?? Anyway, it was a 2 chapter sample from Amazon, I still gotta go back, buy & read, but again, from the game, and it def starts off as a great read.

I know this is an older video but I have to being a Darth Revan since I played KOTOR did you look up the history of Darth Revan?
Does revan style match up with mace windu because of the purple lightsaber?
And you see no way to remove this plastic hood and replace it with cloth? Maybe it would be worth the risk to warm up the glue a bit and also soften the head to be able to pull everything together off the torso. Then you could carefully cut off the plastic hood. I do not know anything about Darth Revan (by the way, where was Gus?), but he looks cool enough to be worth trying it.
Guys I haven't read all the comments but darth revan was name checked in the rise of skywalker as one of the sith groups

If it helps , Kylo Ren's design is based on Darth Revan.
I do like that the way they sculpted the figure doesn't really define it as male or female, to not force any particular interpretation of Revan's character onto the buyer (Revan is the protagonist of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and it being an RPG (specifically a BioWare game), of course, you could completely customize the player character. In the old EU, they did canonize Revan as male, but now, if they bring Revan back, they could canonize another set of characteristics for Revan, or they could just not canonize anything about Revan by keeping the character's appearances limited to flashbacks or teases or something where Revan appears in this outfit, and (if the media Revan's appearing in has some form of audio component), they could use a voice modulator to disguise the voice).
Revan is probably going be female with the new Canon.

Then again how much of a description do we get of what his face looks like based off the comics, and novels.
You can't really count the video game because you as the player character are Revan so essentially you can make him look however you want.

Unfortunately today best buy screwed the worth now on this one. I own 10 now. I'll hold on to them I suppose for a few years. One of my favorite characters next to Vader. Vader is still my favorite character. I have 10 Revan BS figs and 1 of the 3.75 Revan plus a Mighty Mug Revan. He's awesome

Darth Revan is boss. End of story. While his saga can be considered a little wonky due to the duality of the character, it is none the less intriguing for what it is. Darth Bane would later use the philosophies of Revan after obtaining his holocron...which would be the basis of the rule of two. While technically Bane would be the one to establish the rule of two amongst the later day Sith...Revan was kind of the grandfather of the ideologies that inspired it.

Tony Chang ... the distribution of this wave was a joke...your best bet is to keep an eye on amazon. Hasbro Toy Shop had it going in and out of stock for a long time but I believe his page has been removed completely from their website now.
Now I miss playing KOTOR.
Tony Chang ... I never played it but I know a little about Revan ... he clearly was an influence for the Kylo Ren character because of the back and forth between the light and the dark
You're never too late to start exploring the video game. I didn't start playing until 2009, six years after its initial release. Also, I didn't beat the game until 2013.
