How long do you walk a puppy? Watch this!

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
It turns out our 1-2 hr daily plan to walk Homer was a bit excessive. I heard the rule of thumb is 5 minutes for each puppy month. More details in the video.

I walk my Vizsla about 3 - 4 hrs a day and it still doesn't seem to be enough.. She's 9 yrs old too

So if you only walk 5 min per month, doesn't that leave them with a lot of energy when you get home? I'm getting my 8 week old pup this coming Tuesday, but I've been torn between how much activity a vizsla pup would need. I do understand that overwalking them can be a bit detrimental to their growth, given that this breed can be susceptible to hip dysplasia...Thanks for any feedback.

Your Vizsla pup will likely have excessive energy they’ll need to burn. Homer certainly did and always does 😂 It’s the nature of the breed. Play fetch with them and training sessions should help. We also play hide and seek games. Lastly. They have incredible prey drive. Tie a toy to a stick and make them chase it. I have a video on it. Tires them out quick 👍
