HI Nicky! What a great month you have had! It's hard to go wrong with Jane Austen. I'm glad that you also find such comfort in her work. Hope you're doing well!

Hi Pat! I hope you are doing well! Jane Austen was both great and too much at the same time. 🤣 Hope you’re enjoying your reads!

Love the sass on the Sanditon impostor 😂 “this”
I’m glad you enjoyed your reading and rereading! And I look forward to seeing your reassessment of Austen 😊

🤣😅 thank you. I can’t hide my feelings haha. My reassessment did change but not by too much. It will be up this week!

Sounds like you have a great, comforting reading month (apart from that hilarious Sanditon debacle 😂) - love that for you! I need to re-read more!

There is so much value in re-reading novels. If I get in a slump, I usually re-read a book I know I have enjoyed. I read War of the Worlds and really enjoyed it! Thanks for the recommendation. Two fantastic non-fiction reads are The Only Plane in the Sky by Graff and Into Thin Air by Krakauer. You have probably read them but if you haven't.

I haven’t read them but now they are on my radar so thank you! I definitely love a reread and will probably always be a rereader. Not only is it comforting, I enjoy getting something new like you mentioned. Also I am so glad you enjoyed War of the Worlds! I loved it!

I remember watching a movie or mini series of Longitude many years ago and really enjoying it! You may have had enough Jane Austen for 2024, but next year you could try reading the novel Hamerston Hall by Jane Eastbourne. It has a Jane Austen flavor to it.

I read Longitude this year as well. I was kind of disappointed with it but it was still very interesting.

@@Kristy.Reads.2024 Sorry you found it disappointing! I’ve had very few reading disappointments this year so far so I consider myself lucky.

@@MyMessyBookshelf I think I may just not have been in the right headspace for it. I have a 4.5 yo & an almost 2 yo running around me all day so I tend to get distracted a lot so, I think it might just be a timing thing with that book. :)
