The NEX-EA50M is a professional NXCAM camcorder with a large format Exmor™ APS-C HD CMOS sensor and interchangeable E-mount lens system providing exceptional creative freedom when shooting both Full HD movies and high-quality still photos. The sensor has 16 million effective pixels and a 16:9 13.6 million pixels area of the sensor will be used to form a 1080p image via downsampling [*]. EA50 users can enjoy high quality HD images with details that a HD sensor simply unable to deliver.
[*] Due to limitations posed by early 2010s downsampling technology, moiré patterns may appear in part of the HD images containing fine straight lines.
