One of the greatest tunes of all time, just revisited it here 2 weeks ago after about 35 years and it's absolutely amazing still. Richard my son, you were and still are the best front man ever, long live Skids.
Thankyou so much, Mr. Watson, and your son Jamie (Jamie?), for stepping into the shoes of Mr. Adamson, and thereby allowing The Skids to be a functional band I cried when I first read, that Bruce Watson was going to step into The Skids as Guitar player. Thankyou Watson I can't tell you what Skids Mean to me. Back in the 70s.tthere was a terrible traumatic thing going on in my house, I was a kid. I just went into our front room, turned on the Telly, and turned the volume up to 10..max...ti drown out the noise of my poor screaming dog in the kitchen behind me. its a terrible sound to hear your dog screaming DOGS don't scream!!! Dogs have a MASSIVE pain threshold , the Vet told me. He got to the Vet, and it was a slipped disc Ultimately, he was put to sleep, but he was 12 yrs old That nite, I banged on the TV, full volume, and it just so happened to have been set on BBC1 It was TOTP, come on, and 1st thing that came in was some pricks called Skids. ❤️❤️💓💓💓. I was mesmorised by Richard. Jobsons dancing. Transfixed by him and that drumbeat, together. Masquerade. Blew me away. And drowned out my screaming dog. MY boy has scarred me for life, and I'm crying rite now, but iv got to say to you boys... Thankyou so much Mr. Watson & Son Thankyou so much, Mr. Nelson, Bassist. Thankyou so much, Mr. Bailee, Drummer. Thank you so much Mr Richard Jobson, for your dancing and singing. I saw you guys in Brighton Concorde, 2017 Thankyou. Xxxxxx. .
I love this song. At the time my company used to work for American companies and I use to sing this song in front of the management.....as I do now as I still work for Americans.
Kick ass!!!! Jobson prances about like a bare knuckle fighter who's had a few.....come on son lets ave it.Im glad the scots were on our side at Waterloo
Classic, saw them the first time the played In Ireland, an old cinema on the Cabra road that hosted many fantastic bands like the skids, and then nearly 40 years later Big Country and the Skids did a gig in Dublin, how great to see that after all the years, still as good as the first time, so much skill and energy I haven’t the words to do justice, dancing or movement, I think it’s a bit of both, tom biff brennan,
OMG! I love the Shids! "Wanking For The Yankee Dollar" is one of my all time favorites! "Curry On Boys" and "The Saints Are Cuming" are also awesome Shids tunes!
Got to admit, credit were credit is due THIS IS FCKIN BRILLIANT... 😊👍👍👍
Fuck, they can still bring the house down. Still can't believe Stuart's gone, even though his spirit lives in the Skids' guitar sound!!!

Holy crap - what an incredibly tight band - you still sound amazing! Definitely going next time you play Belfast!
You're in luck, Belfast Limelight with Big Country in November. Saw Skids last night - best gig in years.
