I always had the headcanon that the androids in DB are so powerful, because Dr Gero’s drone analysed their training, and his computer used some kind of simulated training to make them grow in strenght faster than the Z warriors.
i think its similar dr gero states he created energy absorbtion engine prototype and the finalized infinite energy engine. these two inventions made the ndroids so powerful
You should definitely check out the other Cyborgs in another Anime series called "Cyborg 009" particularly the 2001 Series, They are 100% made on Earth by Humans and are so crazy Overpowerful, they might as well be stronger than any Alien and God by either Superpower or Devine Magic.
I don't exactly think this is a cyborg/android problem, the exact same thing happens with just any superhero/super being from earth. like oh it just so happens that the mutants/whatever powered people are called in the verse specifically from earth are capable of manipulating the univerese, or it's only scientist/geneticists/engineers/magicians/gods from earth that are/create the most powerful things in the universe, and it also just so happens that all the major events in the universe are also happening on earth

Yeah it always bugged me how some cyborgs out of some random teenagers were stronger than freeza, it wouldve made some sense if they also had the absorbing hands but nope! Just infinite energy.... somehow. Obviously toriyama just had to improvise the cell saga so many inconsistencies and dumb stuff ended up happening :/
Ok lets be fair, Gero was able to backwards engineer Frieza's parts (Evidently those tiny bots got really good cameras) And humans are like the smartest creatures in the universe, Able to backwards engineer a warp drive.... a warp drive in under a year. Gero used bio engineering on the Cyborgs 17-18 that made them as machine as human, rebuilding muscles and bone on the atomic level. As for 'space metals' they don't seem any stronger than earth metal so... Also infinite energy is more Infinite Stamina. The Cyborgs never tire, Most likely do to the before mentioned 'bio engineering' that allowed their bodies to more efficiently deal with lactic acids created by muscles. Dr Gero and the Briefs are like top tier top tier in intellect. They put the Tuffles to shame. Dudes were using pokeballs 50 years before pokemon. While humanity as a whole might be dumb, they have the three greatest geniuses in the universe there.
4:53 I think it's more on the level of SSJ Blue Moro Saga. Piccolo wasn't part of the Granola and Gas Saga and therefore doesn't know the TUI and UE. I also don't really think that Piccolo can properly classify the UI (Moro Saga) (maybe the one from the ToP via Jiren FP).
Dr Hedo was the Grandson of Gero using the blueprints and documents, drawings of both Gero, 21, and all Red Ribbon progress in the last 20 years... and before his colab with the RRA his androids were... underwhelming. They were re-animated corpses and not really that high on the power scale.

Cecil keeps him around because he's useful, but his experiments are morbid. not the thing you want to advertise. Besides, if he wanted a cyborg or android army, he could just Robot/ Rex and get the same results for much cheaper and less blowback. As for aliens, yes, a few have tried that route. In fact, the Viltrumite's "Smart Atom" technology implanted throughout their bodies could be considered a type of cybernetic enhancement, and a very High-end one at that. As it allows them to regulate their personal Mass, Energy, and Molecular bonds, Granting them the powers and longevity they now enjoy. Flight, supreme durability, long life, and incredible strength. Any other types of similar enhancements have been either destroyed or do not perform the task of Viltrumite abuse. This drives the Coalition to cultivate "Champions" from other planets to slow the Viltrumites while they secretly improve the captured Scourge Virus, which is proven to kill Viltrumites.
I see, so the crux of the issue is power scaling because the fact that robots are not individuals, but man-made, means that potentially anyone could get their hands on something with a similar power level, and its never explained as to why nobody takes advantage of this fact, or even attempts something like it.
I think the Manhattan project is a good case study that these writers should have taken some inspiration from to justify the existence of these super powerful mechanical characters.
One can make the argument the reason why they never use cyborgs/Androids the way it's presented in media. The most powerful ones are shown to never be loyal. Thus, it makes creating one either a fools errand to make up. As for the weaker variants will take up too much time and resources to make up an ideal army. At the same time, any rival armies that are seen or just take the technology as stated in this video and do the exact same. So it ends up being a huge double-edge sword. Humanity does it because we always look past the ramifications on what will happen to us if they advance too much. That's why earth is still seen as primitive. As a Villan once said, "For every person who dreams of inventing the electric light bulb. There's another who dreams of creating the Adam Bomb!" ( Why haven't said many dead cyborgs in Invincible haven't been used in recent conflicts is beyond me. Like I can't be the only one who noticed that.)
Hmm. That is an interesting generalization to make though. You'd think if nothing else a machine's loyalty would be impossible to break. So just in none of these continuities would a robot follow orders to the end once its powerful enough? Really if I had to guess the reason they dont use robots, if I had to come up with a universal one, it would probably rather be that they are *too* loyal to what they have been told to do. Robots cant properly strategize as well as a human mind, so no matter how powerful, it would be more efficient to make a gun just as powerful.
I need to be careful when writing androids myself. There is always needs to be a good justification for how they are strong. Being by a scientist, no matter how smart said scientist, is not enough explanation to justify an android being overpowered.
I totally agree that making a less advanced Earth have the strongest androids and cyborgs in the universe is dumb as fuck, but at least we got Android 18 and 21 out of it :P I'm looking forward to the Amazon video, that guy is absurdly broken.

His argument about why frieza doesn’t create androids is flawed (funny that a robots logic is flawed), they considered earth to be a more primitive planet when it comes to technology because the frieza force are basing it off what they have: Earth doesnt have scouters, state of the art combat armour and blasters, space traveling vehicles that can travel faster than light and healing tanks that can completely heal fatal injuries in a matter of hours or minutes. Look at the dragon balls or senzu beans, do you really think that they wouldn’t try to farm senzu beans or capitalise the use of dragon balls if they knew it existed? Senzu beans heal all wounds instantly yet the frieza force has never used anything like it! Also look at namek, its more of a primitive planet than earth is but they have fighters who can kill frieza force grunts, healers who can HEAL FASTER THAN the healing tanks and DRAGON BALLS- a set of magical wish granting orbs capable of reviving the dead and granting immortality. JUST because the frieza force consider these worlds “primitive” doesn’t mean they don’t have their wonders Also, android 17 and 18 were only strong because they were made to kill goku, they were built to have that overwhelming strength because a child could destroy an entire army with his fists. Before that, the only androids that existed were androids that could be destroyed relatively easily by kid goku- who at the time was still WAAAAAY weaker than raditz (raditz was as strong as a saibaman) so why would frieza want androids that weak? Another FUNNY point is- THE FRIEZA FORCE HAVE SAIBAMEN! THEY ARE AS STRONG AS RADITZ! WHY WOULD YOU WASTE RESOURCES BUILDING AN ARMY OF ROBOTS WHEN YOU COULD USE “Cultivated lifeforms” who will blow themselves up just to Kill their target! They are ALREADY lacking in self preservation! It would be a waste!
If would you have if you had an omnitrix but they can only be robots/artificial beings they also can't be main antagonist/villians and be spliced with the dna of earth creature they also can't be gods but god like power is fine
dr gero made the androids after observing gokus fights up to namek which means he watched dr briefs analyze the namek ship. noting dr briefs invented hoi poi capsules while aliens in bdz just make larger and larger space ships. not to mention after this gero states to have invented the energy absorbtion engine prototype then the unlinited energy engine and since ki equals durability no special metals were needed. marvel is different too since theres alot of wild mutant geniusness reed richards is smarter than alot of the verse. but still overall solid video amazo is just silly lol youve got my sub

😅 I’m not gonna act like what JAR is saying isn’t right or doesn’t make sense. And I’m sure the original writers of these characters and such. Might have different reasoning behind why the androids on earth are so strong. But I like to think that what makes earth androids so strong is the willpower. And while aliens could make a superior android of superior material and technology. Like cyborg from Teen titans showed us. “It’s not the machine that makes me who I am. It’s ME!” The person, the human spirit. You might say “oh well shouldn’t the aliens also have something similar?”. Well if the story followed the aliens maybe we’d see their version of “human spirit”. But ultimately I think what makes androids and cyborgs so strong is willpower or “human spirit” whatever you want to call it.
I feel like the entire issue is something that's more of a case by case basis, but that is a good theory in general. Fighting spirit is a common thing in media like this, and often is the difference maker between the good guys and the bad guys, so it would make sense.
Could just be that unlike earth, the other races understand enough about self preservation to avoid making killer androids that can 1v1 continent busting supermen
Im shocked you didn’t bring up Alita from Alita Battle Angel/Battle Angel Alita? In the manga her power source was able to create a sun sized Black Hold or even Metal Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog and the Multiple different Mega-Man characters
