Looks like a simple fun game. Thanks for the playthrough and giving us an idea on how it works. Always cool spotting a game that 'non board gamers' might like (or endure 🙂).
I've been sitting on the fence wether I should back this on Kickstarter or not. You helped me to finally decide, I'm going for it! Thanks for another great video!
You should get rare first and try to fill the last columns with common ones. Yeah, you dont get so many points from rows, but last columns give megapoints, that are hard to get fromm rows.
at 7:48. only one stone was drawn from the bag to put on the empty river tile, but it looks like it has 2 stone symbols printed on it. AHHH thanks! A couple minutes later you explained the draw is different than during setup. A surprisingly engaging short game.
So funny! I was literally just looking at this on Kickstarter and pretty much decided to back...turn on You Tube and see your playthrough just loaded! Yep, gotta back this one, deluxe because I like player mats plus the stand up bag. Looks adorable and fun! I will back it through your link.
Isn't there more logic to place the most common in the most right column and the rarest ones in the most left, that way you will collect more points, or I've missed something in the rules preventing you from doing that?
For good column scores that sounds like a good strategy but you will probably hurt your row scores. Gaps will be more likely with rare pieces not showing up in the combinations that you need.
Player count is going to impact that I think. I agree with 4/5 player games rare at the left makes more sense. With just 2 players I wouldn't be surprised to have well over half the potential glass not appear.
This game is basically the reimplementation of a game from 2021, called Subastral, albeit in a much prettier package. (Subastral is a card game.) The scoring method is the same, but the way you acquire glass pieces works a bit differently here than in Subastral. In Subastral you have more flexibility in terms of which cards you can take, but have limited knowledge about your opponent’s possible moves. In this game it seems that the opposite is true. I’m not sure which one is the better design.
This looks like an easy, fun game to play when you just want to relax. Thank you for the playthrough. Excellent, as always. I told myself No more Kickstarter for a while, but I just blew it! 😂😂
I do love your channel... I'm always here to check some games or have fun with you guys. However, I can't find something real catching 'cause you're just giving us kickstarter videos lately... I know all of this games will come out one day; but having titles I can't get at the shop it puts me out of the game. Mixed feelings lately, dunno!
Hi there, we appreciate your concerns, but we do have to say that if you check from February 2024 up until now, we've released 10 videos for games that are currently out. I (Naveen) have a full-time job and Monique works full-time on the channel so there has to be a delicate balance amongst the various content we produce in order for us to continue running the channel. The Kickstarter content hasn't actually increased lately, it's always been at this pace and it's a steady way for us to continue while also covering games we are interested in. Hope that makes sense!
Thanks for the video! Definitely nice to see how it's played before buying. :)
What an ending! This seems like such a cozy, quick game that plays fantastic at 2 - thanks for a great teach and playthrough!

You guys are the best! Every time a game drops on BGA your channel is the first place I look.

I LOVE this game. Have been obsessively playing it on BGA and backed at the founders level. Thanks for showing it!! ♥️☺️

Great playthrough! Thanks!
I backed the Founders level
Just backed this game! Love a nice quick game when I want a challenge but my friends don’t want a long game!
Lovely light game! Beautiful components! Cheers!
At 17:13, you refilled the bag with only one glass, but you should've refilled it with 2! Naveen's green glass hid the two glass marker!
Azul meets Freshwater Fly, two games that I enjoy : ] Thanks for the vid.

I'm excited for this. It seems so tactile and chill.
Haha I was just looking for a shorter playthrough from you guys when you uploaded this! :D
:-)
Yay! I just backed this one!
Did you guys not get a copy of Lure for reviewing as well?

Nice Azul Work
Naveen always has the coolest shirts! Who is in charge of his wardrobe? And where can I pick up some of those fun shirts?
