Thanks Brian. I definitely can not complain about this session. For the month of March these are great results. Hopefully it shows what’s to come for the rest of the season
So if im wanting to hit the rivers at this time of the year what would i be looking for i fish on the grand river in kitchener if that helps. Also whats a simple bait and rig you would suggest i swore last year was the year for a monster but I never had the luck so trying to get a start early I just dont have all the crazy carp gear but my daughter loves chasing carp aswell so if i dont get the big one hopefully she does
Look for feeder creeks that flow into your main body of water. The shallow bays at the mouths of these creeks will generally hold warmer water and are areas carp will stage first thing after ice out to get a lot of easier natural foods. For bait use fishy boilies early spring or bright pop ups. Prebaiting is also key make sure to have a good baiting campaign finding the proper spots and feeding regularly every other day for at least a 10 day period to familiarize the fish to the spots. All these things combined will help you get on more early season fish.
He is doing better. Je has 6 broken bones in his ankle and had to have surgery with 3 metal plates and 12 metal screws put in. It will be in next weeks video him falling and breaking his ankle.
I honestly have never tryed this area for pike. I grew up in northern Ontario. So when I want true giant northerns like 45 plus inch I go back there to pursue them.
Using 3 rods can get very 'panicky' when all 3 lines have a carp running every which way ! A friend had that happen and I had 2 on the lines simultaneously . I will only use 2 rods now and only one rod at some tight spots . Some places have rocky bottoms and carp on the loose can fray lines as they are sitting low in the water , and I have had a couple of messy tangles when a carp crossed over the other line . Best to have a partner nearby lol !
Saw this on facebook, gonna give you like and comment to promote yah !

Did u end up getting out much for them?
Very helpful and amazing video,
but are you sure the new regulations about 3 lines are already in effect for 2021?
Thanks.

Its amazing for walleye at night. Right under the bridge. Pike are good.
Good to know man. I’ve only ever targeted crappies and carp there
That's spot must be also great for pike post spawn?

So they finally changed the laws to allow more than one rod for carp? What a relief, they've been talking about that for a while now.
Yes three rods now finally for carp in Ontario. Definelty a game changer especially for early season or when approaching new swims
3 rods everywhere in ontario?
Not all zones no
