The space used for TV lorries etc would be great for a fans zone , maybe Liverpool should buy land near to ground for Tv lorries and even a proper Liverpool TV studio etc ..

There's a massive fans zone in the new Anfield road stand and beside the club shop is used for fans zone with live music. I do agree the club should buy the large bit of ground where the houses used to be over the road from main stand and build a new museum, hospitality/liverpool theme restaurant, shops and other rental property for businesses so they can generate money and provide local area with business and job's, win win for club and locals.

@@scott3232 You might want to check out the LCC's plans for that land which they've already put out to tender, as for shops and restaurants the LCC have also given full planning permission for that on the small area of land opposite the club shop at the junction of Venmore Street and Walton Breck Road. The club buying that land simply isn't an option.

The club already has a state of the art TV studio with full production facilities opposite the War Museum adjacent to Chapel Street, it's where all the Liverpool FC television programs are produced.

@Steve-io5oh fully aware of the planning in the area, that doesn't mean it can't happen if liverpool football club came up with a better solution on that ground that would generate more jobs and business opportunities to local people.
I was just giving some examples of what can be in the planning wasn't an actual planning permission pal calm down, its just a suggestion and opinion we are all allowed one.
You aren't LCC so you don't know exactly what they will accept or if they wouldn't sell to the club if it was better for LCC and locals then they might be open to that, again it's just a suggestion part of discussion no need to get your knickers in a twist about it.

Thanks for the Video Nick, definetly shows how lopsided Anfield is now and the need to redevelop the Kop and the Sir Kenny Stands but other than the redesign of the lower Sir Kenny Stand i am not aware of any further future plans by FSG to redevelop the ground and the plans for the lower Sir Kenny ( badically the old single teir Kemlyn Road stand) are to improve customer seating space ( much needed) and a larger concourse area. This though will remove about 1500 seats from the stand and take Anfields capacity again to below 60,000.
The Kop also now looks so small in relation to the orher stands in the ground. I guess removing the roof and increasing the stand slope from 26 degrees to 36 degrees would allow the stand to add further rows of seating towards the back of the stand ading maybe further 3,000 seats into a 15,500 sseated Kop which would not involve having to deepen the depth of the stand or impact the Walton Brek Road.It would also give the Kop a more dominating look as the roof line coukd be at the same level as that of the Annie Road Stand and a extra 3,000 fans in the Kop would increase the noise and Atmosphere coming from the most famous football stand in world football but i guess this moderate redevelopment of the Kop would close the stand down for a season or so as the terrace is reconfigured to a new 36 dehree slope and this of course in turn would for a season rduced the Anfield capacity to about 47,500 for a year and reduce some gate receipts as well as the costs of the Kop rebuild which FSG might nt see a commercial viable if it was only to add a further 3,000 seats to the ground capacity.
I personally though would love to see the Kop enlarged but maybe the longer term thought is to to re -route the Walton Brek Road and demolisg the shops etc that are currently behind the Kop to enable LFC to totally rebuild and redesign the Kop without the current restriction the Walton Brek road imposes on the ground exansion and have a stand that can hold over 20,000 fans and take Anfield towards a 70 000 capacity. But i known LCC have currently ruled out the possability of a re route of the Walton Brek road so this sort of redevelopment of the Kop is probably some 10 to 12 years down the road and will probably only happen once a new greater Anfield area development plan is approved and LFC will have new owners who will want to finance such a project to clearly demonstrate their presence and imaging of the club into the late 2030's and early 2040's
