I mean, That was the guy who kidnapped and LITERALLY killed his baby brother by extracting his tailed beast from him so yeah, That was settling score. 🖐🏻😤 Besides I'm sure Sasori would appreciate someone with the same enthusiasm and love for puppets as him would take good care of his puppets after he bit the dust. 🤷🏻♀️
Anko was trained and prepared by Orochimaru. Kurenai was supposed to be the strongest genjutsu user back then. I guess those would be honorable mentions.
Absolutely! It feels like Anko’s whole storyline got dropped. As the biggest victim of Orochimaru, she had an even better reason to stop Sasuke than Naruto. There definitely could’ve been an interaction with Sasuke or Kakashi at some point.
@@Williamjacob7789 Anko honestly could’ve been Kakashi’s ship. Bonding over their trauma and Sasuke whose capture they want to prevent most. They talk about their confrontations with Orochimaru, both knowing they were no match for him. While Orochimaru is weaker without his arms, Kabuto is formidable and there isn’t enough information on the Sound Village. The 4 ninja who used advanced Barrier Ninjutsu to keep anyone from assisting Lord 3rd are also a threat. Sizing up Orochimaru like this might require a single episode, half of it being flashbacks to those moments. All fitting the tone since there was so much action and the animation budget needs to recover. One information heavy Naruto free episode to set the tone for the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. Tsunade recognizes Anko as Orochimaru’s student. Anko tells her everything she knows about him and asks to be Sasuke’s guardian. Tsunade approves, with Kakashi hoping his words have reached Sasuke. The Sound 4 kill Anko offscreen in her attempt to protect an unknowing Sasuke. They bring her dead body to him saying “This one wasn’t worthy of the CM, so we ended her suffering by showing how it’s really done. She wanted to keep you away from the power you seek. No one can interfere with a choice such as this.” Everything goes the same with a few minor changes due to Anko’s death… 1. Naruto matures a little. He gains newfound respect for Anko and what she went through with Orochimaru. He wants to get Sasuke back for her as well as himself and the entire village (not just for Team 7 and a whiny Sakura). Motivation befitting a future Hokage. 2. Ibiki and Inoichi examine Anko’s corpse and mind for valuable information on Orochimaru. 3. Kakashi doesn’t find out about Anko’s death until after he saves Naruto. Short flashback of their recent encounters and he thinks “Another good friend gone…” A funeral is held for her during the end of part 1. He resolves to get much stronger.
Tenten is super underrated. She’s got summoning power and efficient with the most powerful weapons in Naruto. And if she were to have been raised in hidden mist, she could’ve easily been one of the swordsmen with her weapon skill abilities. Imagine her as a swordsmen able to wield more than one battle sword
its true tenten is a wasted potential but I don't think it whould make much of a difference since tenten is presentation of what a mediocore shinobi is in the story so I don't think she will be any good in hidden mist even tho probably could be a little stronger than his current self because she is hard working but not half as much as other supporting nor main characters and she is definetly not working smarter so in the end she is just a mediocore character shows what a normal shinobi lookslike it could be a different story if she was trained in senjus weapon arts but it's really hard and like only way in my openion
I like Tenten. Shes been getting a lot of flak off youtuber's. But they give the false premise. 'they are only useful by how much power they have or who they beat in battle' What slips people's mind with Western brain washing. It weird to have the same standards of strength for men and women and expect them to be on par. Its like expecting a child have the same standards. The women are far from made weak. And often keep on par with the guys if not way better then many of the guys. They are just put in stupid positions and compared to the guys .
@@HP-iq6kn No imo alot of character development done in anime in general is god awful. Itchi , Sasuke , Tsanade Sukura. Making some really whacky characters. Funny enough all four of these characters I've motioned. Have attacked their own team mates and children. And this line always gets me. The five kage form a shinobi alliance because they thought they were going to war with Madara. Temari says this to Marada ' dont underestimate me because am a woman'
Shino needs a light novel! It's clear he was bred to be a root level Shinobi. Seeing every excuse like Sasuke retrieval and why he's never included bc he's doing something way cooler
Man Konan was such a cool character! Dance of The Shinigami is probably one of my favorite Justus in all of Naruto. Something about the origami aspect of it is so interesting.
For real, Danzo should be an iconic villain. He's such an embodiment of villains in the shadow that despite following his story well, we still don't think of him as a villain but a messed up guy that makes so many terrible decisions
She's filler, but I'd say Gurren (the crystal jutsu user) from the arc where they were trying to seal the turtle tailed beast. For a filler villain she was pretty well fleshed out and complex.
Konan really went and said "I am gonna make that my whole personality" with origami. But being real if you think about it what she did was absolutely absurd. As a kid she created a jutsu that developed to be on par with a kekkei genkai. Idk if founding a village but she did have enough talent to be the head of a clan, and a whole clan of origami people sounds kind of cool.
She doesn't really have her own ambition to do much of anything. Her personality died long ago. Being abandoned, the war and deaths traumatized her. She is walking depression. She just was existing going along with nagato ying yuck stupidity because their best friends and adoptive brother died. Then Nagato died too. She did what others wanted. She didn't really want a new family and i think she wouldn't have the mental space to have a child. I feel like even if she did prego some how she'd kill the infant just so she wouldnt go through the heart ache of loosing it to someone else. She went back to the rain village to i guess make a positive change... I dont know i feel like she'd paper her self and disolved in water after stabalizing the village (suicide). She might as well have died too in the pain arch too because her being friends with naruto didnt happen. She didnt help during the war. During the last movie wen the moon crisis went down. I think a better purpose for her would be like a big sister to Naruto and they could visit each other and trade stories. Maybe even if so just opened a origami shop that sells paper crafts like lanterns and trades paper tags to the leaf and make the rain village money.
Small correction: The guy who tortured Ibiki Morino was AOI Rokushou, not AO. Also fun fact: The Sword of the Thunder God was a Legendary Ninja Tool from Konoha and once belonged to Tobirama, meaning it was literally the sword of the man who created the Flying Thunder God technique.
Yamato was so, so essential to team 7’s growth. There wasn’t anything else Kakashi could teach him at that point, and Kakashi (though I love him so much, too), was so caught up in his feelings about everything and his desire to protect that he couldn’t come in with a fresh outlook and be direct like Yamato did.
Kakashi had 1000 possible jutsus he could teach the genin with 2 extremely large pools of chakra and chose to teach him non. Yes I know Naruto likely couldn't learn all 1000 jutsus because plenty of them needed control he didn't have. Seriously in a list of 1000 jutsus do you honestly think he doesn't have any jutsus that are high cost low control or at the very least teach him something after his control got better.
@@dylanmiller6169 it’s true - I mean, Yamato had to teach them about chakra nature, and that Naruto had wind nature, and what elements beat others. That should have been a lesson pretty early on 😂
I actually liked Team Yamato, it was a good dynamic for a missing Sasuke. And he was a much better teacher than Kakashi, but Kakashi is supposed to be a bad teacher lol
@@jonnylawless6797 kakashi was so bad I kinda wanted someone to call him out on just how bad. Like I said he let a kid that had more chakra than himself at 12, not counting the foxes chakra, and he just let that kid go on with only 3 jutsus. Anyone else would be making Naruto a full blown ninjutsu specialist teaching him every ninjutsu they could, a fighting style ninjutsu (one ninjutsu so strong and versatile it becomes a fighting style), and/or a few jutsus that get bigger and stronger the more chakra you put in it.
Kankuro is my favorite character in Naruto. I love his loyalty to his village & his family. Hell, he even teaches other Shinobi how to use the puppet technique so it can continue on. 💜
I think he is underrated but he literary took sosari who should be one this list and took his third kazekage which sosari got by killing the third kazekage and he managed to turn his body into a puppet and if plot wasnt involved hide his heart and be literary invinsible and control a hundred plus puppets wtone time and granny chio said herself that he let himself be killed saying kankuro is underrated is correct but stronger than sosari is a big stretch aslo a plot hole that should have been included in his last vidoe is that sosari didnt hide his heart or use the kazekage puppet with the hundred puppets tecniqe do while people a fighting for their lives they hwve to dodge iron sand projectiles.
@@jakegeraldine5149Chiyo and Sakura destroyed the 3rd kazekage puppet, but yeah when Sasori died again after Itachi and Sasuke forced Kabuto to release edo tensei, he left himself and all the puppets he had to kankuro. My man not only wields some powerful puppets that were created by the greatest puppet master of all time, he also has Sasori himself, possibly the most powerful puppet ever created. This man is stacked. He also probably has the 10 Chikamatsu puppets created by the first puppet master. Kankuro has one of the most stacked loadouts out of anyone in Naruto. He never uses Sasori or the 10 Chikamatsu puppets
Han is has one of the coolest designs out of all the Jinchuriki, yet super underrated like he barely has 5 mins of screen time. We didn't even see him fight the Akatsuki
One thing I found annoying about Naruto is they occasionally had really cool characters who would get to really show their abilities once, and it was against someone who completely countered their abilities (Ibiki vs pain who couldn't well feel pain). I really wish i could have gotten to see at least one scene of some of these characters showing off against someone not immune to their abilities.
It's basically a show vs. tell problem, and the same thing we get with Anbu. We are told Anbu is super powerful, but all the skilled Anbu people we meet aren't in Anbu anymore (and are clearly stronger than they were before), and Anbu never actually succeeds at doing anything on-screen. Some characters are shown doing cool things (or we are told they can), but are never shown actually being successful.
And honestly, a flip side is also sometimes true: I have been rewatching Naruto recently, and it occurred to me that if Neji had been paired with anyone focused on distance, like Temari or Shikamaru, he couldn't have done jack shit to them, despite being a favorite.
Three words, Tenten vs Temari. WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS TENTEN GOING TO DO AGAINST SOMEONE WHO COULD BLOW AWAY LITERALLY EVERYTHING SHE HAD?! Wind Style was basically Tenten’s one counter, and she got matched against Temari just so that Kishimoto wouldn’t have to do anything for their fight to show the latter moving on in the manga! (Edit because of bad grammar, I just don’t like looking at it myself.)
On the topic of Konan and Shizune being underrated, got to also add that they are among the prettiest female characters which almost no one seems to acknowledged. But now, we know Konan is a beast, like it literally took warping the whole of reality to take her down. But Shizune also had one of the most badass kits that its a shame she rarely got to utilize it. One other character I think is really underrated is Konohamaru, I mean sure kid got whooped by Naruto but so would anyone else including the Hokage at that time. But he also brought shadow clone shuriken, like ten shadow clones with rasengan and that fire style technique I can't think of the name for. Like how many genin could pop out a jutsu spam like that?
I'm sure 95% of Naruto fans don't know who Aoba is and barely recognize him, but there is one scene that made me respect Aoba and acknowledge his existence after he dared to fight Kakuzu head-on using only Taijutsu right after Asuma died. The fight is short but worth mentioning for slightly boosting Aoba's reputation as one of the Elite Jonin in the Leaf 🔥!!
I think Genma is really underrated. Awesome look, mouth game strong with the Senbon, was chosen to both guard and use Flying Thunder Formation by Minato. Not to mention, I found him funny. I would have loved to see more from him, but I seem to be the only one to care about him (from what I've seen)
I agree, Personally I low key feel like if Kakashi rejected the task of leading team 7 of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, Genma would be the next best option. He was under the Platoon Guard of Minato and could manage controlling the Chunin exams.
@@eltonndimande5244ngl it would actually be pretty cool. Imagine genma learning that naruto is the 4th hokage's son from the 3rd hokage or jiraiya and then him teaching naruto the flying raijin. Then naruto would have both the jutsu's his father developed.
Shino and Konan are not underestimated, everyone knows they're legit. I totally agree with Aoba, I think his crow jutsu is super cool and it's a shame we don't see him more. And I remember his name very well.
yamato is honestly my favorite naruto character and the fact that in boruto he is stuck watching over orochimaru, the man that pretty much ruined his life, is honestly pretty sad. the guy just wanted a place where he could belong and the series said that place was isolated from the people he loves looking after a person he hates.
I love him and i found him to be a much better sensei to Naruto than Kakashi (I won’t say better than Jiraiya but close). Yamato was the one who would always tell Naruto the truth, and he responded the best to Yamato’s straightforward teaching. Yamato is the one who told Naruto, “look, you’re the one that hurt Sakura when you let the nine tails take over. You have to learn how to fight without letting that happen, or you’re going to hurt people.” And that was one of the most important things Naruto was ever told!
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Yamato would want said job. Yamato wouldn't want anyone to go through what he did, and the best way to ensure that is to constantly guard Orochimaru, and anything FROM Orochimaru.
YES KANKURO APPRECIATION !!!!! he definitely deserves more respect, acknowledgement, and attention from the fanbase🙏 one of the coolest character designs and abilities in my opinion (especially with his first appearance in og naruto before we learned more about puppeteer ninjas) , and 100% the strongest currently alive puppeteer ninja! glad to see my fav remembered on this list :)
Here's a video idea: Characters We Know Nothing About, But Should. There are a ton of characters throughout the series that get mentioned as being important or powerful but we never get to know why. This would be a list of characters from as Central as Sakumo Hatake to as vague as the Third Mizukage or Sasuke Sarutobi. (Yes, THAT Sasuke Sarutobi, the most famous ninja in real-world history, and he is in the Naruto universe as well to the point that Mikoto Uchiha NAMED HER SON AFTER HIM. We should know more about him than "He's Hiruzen's Dad.")
My absolute favorite character is Suigetsu, his whole kit sounds busted and the only time he gets to shine is assembly of Taka. He could easily beat 90% of cast, but he was implemented too late in the story to matter.
@@MonroeSim He did basically reveal he can use the Hozuki Water Pistol though. Y'know, one of the most dangerous, discrete attacks of that Clan? There's a reason he points at Sasuke with a damn finger gun when we are first introduced to him.
@@MonroeSim Yeah I really wish we saw more of the other members of Taka/Hebi. Suigetsu is just INHERENTLY a cool guy. Another character known for weapon usage despite supposedly having good ninjutsu is Hidan. Fun fact, his highest stat in the databooks is of course Stamina, but it is TIED with Ninjutsu. Yet we never see Hidan use Ninjutsu, just Bukijutsu (Weapon Techniques) and Jujutsu (Curse Techniques). Hidan was already very powerful in his village BEFORE being immortal, so I wonder what his combat style was back then.
I have always wanted to see more big time fights involving Shino, Neji and Lee, I feel its about time for Naruto to pull its main circle in and show the konoha 12 a lot after the next time skip. We need to see more hyuga period, it just feels weird Naruto is so closely related and they are such a big deal in Konoha but we only know a few of them
I've always liked Aoba, ever since he made an epic entrance at the arena during the Konoha Crush arc, I always thought he was pretty cool. Also, I feel like most of the hate Sakura gets is not really her fault, but the fault of the author. She was so underutilized, barely partook in any major battles and was mostly standing on the side-lines. 9 out of 10 of the battles Naturo and Sasuke partakes in, she is either just watching helplessly, or not present at all. Even though Kishimoto constantly went out of his way to tell us that she was smarter then both Sasuke and Naruto, had better chakra control then most genin and was gifted in Genjutsu, we never get to actually see her utilize these skills. Instead of telling us all this, show us, that's what we want. I don't blame Sakura for all this, I blame Kishimoto for neglecting her.
This is partly stupid by saying “you can’t blame Sakura” that’s statement makes no sense since you could say this for any underrated character ITS THE AUTHORS FAULT. She is a fictional character you can any fictional character for there underrated stats or under use They were written ‼️
Well, Kishimoto does seem to have an issue handling female characters. Sakura was horribly used; ill decisions when she was showing development or growth, lack of impact after Sasori, etc. Aoba is really cool, though. Sakura deserved better.
@@franciscocota6440 The easiest way to use her would be making her the brains of the operation. Instead of Sasuke coming up with clever plans and codes let Sakura do it. Let Sasuke lead and implement but defer to her superior intellect.
@@letstalkwhy93 yes, exactly. Unless there is someone or some group who forced the author to sideline a main character, it's 100% the author's fault. Otherwise, who would you blame? You literally can't blame Sakura. She's just a fictional idea who doesn't have a mind of her own. That's like blaming the door for being noisy when you slammed it shut. Like, the door didn't do anything--you're the one who slammed that door! Likewise, Sakura's just an idea. She wouldn't be the way she was if Kishimoto didn't write her like that. Also, you have to remember that Sakura is being hated and called useless is partly because she was supposed to be a main character. "Underrated" characters are usually a testament to how good an author is, because they can write really good side characters. Calling a character "underrated" is a compliment, not a critique.
Most underrated? Hayate Gekko. Severely underrated and I won't stop stanning. The dude was perpetually sick, showed up to work, did his job, then unflinchingly took on that sand sensei and DIED. I dunno. I think about him a lot.
Could you explain why re you think that not trying to pick a fight or something but from my view tenten is emboyment of most mediocore shinobi in the story like litterly she shows how strong your average shinobi should be for each level like genin chuunin or joinin
@@HP-iq6kn well for starters she can master any and all weapons given to her, especially the legendary fan weapon the kurama brothers ( forget their names) would use in battle that can use any elemental release but needs a lot of chakra, and since weve only seen them use it before, people that have a portion of kuramas chackras, so really strong, just the fact that she could swing it twice unless proven otherwise id say is a great feat. Another reason adding to her skillset is that she was made to be a seller in a weapons shop, she could have definatly done more but even the writer felt like just keeping her on the side lines ://
Lets be real… shinos bug powerset is so different from any other jutsu type that he could be in his own anime. Oh and hey!! I knew Aoba because I always thought how odd it was that another character had crows besides itachi
wow very well done I really agree with your opinions in this video, especially about shizune. when i was young , I was so hyped the first time i saw that scene in og naruto (when orochimaru goes to meet tsunade and they hadve that small exchange). i was hyped to see more shizune, little did i will never see her fight:D great video
You know, I think Danzo is definitely evil but also misunderstood in some ways. Danzo is one of the older characters and so he lived through the wars and all the clan battles and whatnot. He grew accustomed to the ideas and thought processes of those times and having to always plan for the next battle. I think so much of the stuff he did was simply because of the things he experienced and witnessed, and grew used to. Am I saying he was right to do what he did? Absolutely not lol but I can see his motivation for doing so.
I've always viewed Danzo as an elderly person suffering paranoid dementia. Even if he killed every single human being on the planet, he would always find something as a threat that needs to be killed, wielding a kunai under his robes. "That squirrel has cunning eyes, definitiely up to something. He must be dealt with before he comes more powerful..." In his more lucid moments he still only speaks about threats. His mental derangement became apparent when he deliriously started stabbing Sasuke's Susano'o with a kunai saying "Just as I thought, a susano'o". Like it's something he does all the time, hitting things randomly with kunai, not believing his eyes since he constantly sees hallucinations. "Just as I thought, a brick wall... Just as I thought, a prostitute... just as I though, a child's throat..." 😄
I always thought about danzo like Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter, one of the viles person that can exist, are those that not only cant see the evil or damage on his actions but BLINDLY believe its the right thing to do, no matter who get in the colateral damage of their means.
I see him as a horrible person but I really believe that he loved the village and wanted to protect it. It's just his idea of what it should be and how to get there are really flawed.
29:23 like Set Roth from Wolfenstein: The New Order said, when referring to the concentration camp he was in “I cannot believe with such certainty. For me, in everything, there must be doubt. Otherwise, there's no room to question, to learn. [sighs] This place. This is the fruit of unquestioned, ferocious conviction. This is where absolute certainty leads.”
@@chefkefatien7049 I noticed he threw hands with him but it didn't last and it looked more like they were trying distract Kakazu so everyone can get ready to pull out. Ngl I don't like those episodes due to the fact that he died in the most messed up way possible. Hear me out. 😂 I understand that he went up against the zombie duo and countless people died in some messed up ways. But they literally let him (behead) a guy, and Then Hidan's head is sewn back on him and Then he kills Asuma. They could have written that a little differently in my opinion. To me it feels like Asuma was more Robbed or Cheated of his life rather than Defeated. Which is horrible considering how great Asuma was a Jonin. He single handedly wiped out Orichimaru's pursuit force while catching up to Shikamaru.
@@patrickhazelwood8318Naruto author could learn from one piece author, how to write great characters defeat, and not some back stab crits and other weird things
Underrated in my opinion are all the junchurrikis 2-7 (Utakata especially) Kankuro most definitely (he's my favorite character) Temari & Tenten (pun intended) and Tonton
In my opinion Sakura only really gets hate because she was put in the team with 3 of the most powerful and beloved characters in the show, I genuinely believe that if she was on Ino’s team (and just getting rid of Ino entirely) she would be hated a lot less, especially because if she’s on a team of less powerful characters it’d give her room to shine without making people think she’s stealing some kind of spot light. I think Sakura is a perfect character for Naruto’s story, she defines what I see as the message of the story, no matter your past or your heritage with hard work you can become great. I will say her character did need a little more fleshing out, but she has the best foundation for a character to almost be the antithesis of Naruto while still being a protagonist.
I always loved Danzo conceptually, but his actual performance in the story, especially in battles makes it hard to appreciate him. Getting thoroughly schooled in his one major fight is not a good look for such a menacing and skilled/experienced character
I love most of the characters you named and damn; Aoba, Sai, Yamato, Shino are my boys and yes Danzo is my fav vilain ever! Thank you for the video! I love it so much! I will share with the fans of the Tenzo's cabin, they will be happy to see our boy in your video! 🥰
Yo...I pride myself on knowing virtually every character in Naruto, and although I knew who Aoba was by name, I knew NOTHING about his abilities. Aoba is kick ASS, definitely underrated. Personally, I think Temari is underrated as well. Her power is shown off a couple times throughout the series (beating Tenten in 3 moves, cutting down a whole forest in one fan swipe, etc), but although she shows up more often in the show than Kankuro, her role IN the story is basically reduced to being Shikamaru's love interest. People forget that she was one of 2 people who went from Genin to Jonin during the timeskip, the other being Neji, and even before that she was basically forced to be a mom to her two younger brothers (one of whom was an insane murderer) because of their deadbeat and cruel father. She was sidled with an incredible amount of responsibility at a young age and never let that burden show, and she wasn't allowed to even BE a normal teenage girl until after the timeskip where her brother became Kazekage. She deserves a lot of praise and respect, not just as a ninja but as a person.
Eh, I feel like Temari would be more of a honorable mention. Considering her lack of time in the show, she is well respected and loved by quite a bit of the community, she's definitely not as underrated as many others.
Sakura earned my respect in the forest of death. Yeah she lost that fight, but she held her ground. In a fight that she knew she had no hope of winning. And objectively, she saved Naruto and Sauske's lives. The sound ninja would have killed them both if Sakura didn't keep them busy, long enough for Rock Lee to happen by. And her fight with Granny Chio was epic, no matter how much people chose to ignore her feats in that fight. She's far from my favorite character but he deserves a lot more praise than she gets.
Oh nice, the scene she chose to cut her hair to get away from her hold instead of using the kunai like an actual weapon and defend herself. Such a true shinobi worthy of praise /s
@MibuInMalibu Yup. That scene. The one where she threw shuriken and all her other kunai at the sound ninja. Ya know. As weapons. To defend herself. So what's your point?
I think jugo is vastly underrated I mean the man is the reason the curse mark exists and he gets little to no information about himself told. Also the seven tails is vastly underrated and wasn’t even sent to a major village. I mean the seven tails is the only tailed beast that gives its jinchuriki the ability to fly that’s bad ass
Love the list i would add Tenten, Genma, Raido, Anko, and Teuchi Ichiraku (Ramen Guy) seriously he or his daughter should have been seen with a larger shop because naruto funds them or somthing XD
Theory: could MS abilities be influenced by the event that unlocked them? Kamui both Kakashi and Obito were unable to stop Rin's death ... They both felt powerless and unable to reach her in time: so pocket dimension. Shisui: his MS abilities came from hope and the desire to change the world: so mind control Sasuke: literally wanted to burn the world, first his brother and then the leaf. He burned bridges with the leaf. So Amaterasu. Itachi burned bridges with his clan and felt trapped and tortured by his loyalties to the leaf vs the clan: so Amaterasu and Trapping/Torture Genjutsu. Characters that wanted to protect something got access to Susanoo Characters that wanted to or were forced to destroy got Amaterasu Characters that wanted to change things got Genjutsu abilities Characters who were unable to be at the right place at right time got teleportation/phasing abilities
I think some characters are not as much as under rated as they are overhated, specially for their role in the story. A big example to me is Kiba, people hate on him despite him not being in the manga all that much and when he is, he's basically Naruto but without being destiny's child or having the focus. He wants to be Hokage but we don't know what are his plans (not that we know why anyone wants to be the hokage, as far as we know it's a paper stamping job), he's a braggart, but he's also a very supportive and unquestioningly loyal to his friends, he's always up to whatever you need him for. His fight with Naruto is basically nonsense, as he forgets he can talk with Akamaru as established in the written section of the exam, and Naruto likely can't speak dog, but after that he just, you know, starts respecting Naruto and takes the time for some introspection without having a complete personality replacement, and during the Sasuke Retrieval arc, he knows he's outmatched by the strongest of the Sound ninja, but he still fights the fight and tries to buy time for his friends to keep on going. He's not the strongest, he's not the smartest, but you can bet he's dedicated.
@@quentinjones6877 Well it is a shiw about ninjas. But the Samurai had fucking cool abilities and deserve more love. And someday, I will pester him enough he'll make a video just to shut me the hell up.
Choji for me. Not only because he IS the strongest character in Naruto, he was able to activate wings without pills, which I think was never done before. He is essential to the "inoshikicho" formation, because without him being in the front line taking all the damage, shikimaru couldn't trap and ino couldn't take over minds. But above all else, choji has the saddest story, and I'll die on this hill. Gaara, Naruto, itachi and any others all have reasons to be hated by the narutoverse. Choji was hated because he was fat. When he fought jorubo we learn this. Like kids were cruel to him for literally no reason. I'm not saying it's right or fair that Naruto was hated for kurama, but it's understandable. Choji was just plump and treated like trash. Naruto learned he was hated for what was in him, not for being Naruto. Choji was hated for being choji. Itachi is definitely very close second. He had to kill everyone he cared for and leave. But itachi made that choice. Choji didn't make the choice to be choji. Also, if this is read by our gracious TH-cam host, shikimaru was first to accept Naruto. Not Iruka. (For ninja, ramen guy I'm not counting). When Iruka still kinda hated Naruto, shikimaru had a conversation with his dad about if he should also hate Naruto. Shikaku told shikimaru to treat Naruto however he felt like treating Naruto. So when the boys tried to get Naruto hurt by sending Naruto into the woods knowing the enemy was there, shikimaru is the one who saved Naruto by saying something.... Just like a Nara, doing their work in the shadows (because Naruto never knew this).
I would say both choji & shikimaru are my favourite Naruto characters but I can’t agree with your choji takes on him being the strongest & having the saddest story. Imo there are many much worse stories, Sai, Yamato & rin come to mind. But he is genuinely likeable & displays main character traits. Shikimaru is just a bad ass with the coolest/most cathartic Akatsuki kill, plus he’s a better friend than sasuke!
@@danielbrowne8044 I should of clarified, choji is the most physically strong, like when they say Sakura has "monster strength". He would definitely lose to almost every character in Naruto. But physically, he is strongest, at least I'm like 99% sure that, that's canon. As far as saddest, I guess that's all up to each person individually. I definitely agree those you mentioned plus more have very sad stories. But chojis story when fighting jurobo hit me very hard and much harder than any of the other people's stories. But that's my personal feelings/view. Shikimaru is definitely one of the top most bad ass, I say it's a toss up between shikimaru and shino. Shino was just so cool. I feel like if he had more air time he would of shown some amazing fights. Shikimaru vs Akatsuki was of course amazing! Like we all knew he was going to win, but the way he did was just awesome. Love shikimaru a lot
What the hell, choji has a pretty damn mild story, sure bullying is bad but it was mundane, something people in the real world expirence regularly even. I don't see how people treating you poorly for a while is worse than losing your whole family to the person you loved and respected the most, getting oppressed and treated like a monster from a whole village, being forced to fight in wars as a child were you see your best friend die after your dad committed self deletion or living as a orphan in a village that is constantly in the center of wars. I'm sorry, you can die on that hill if you want but it's just objectively not that bad. You also said it was itachis decision but it's not like choji is forced to be fat, he could change that.
@@brotbrotsen1100 well, no one is asking you to understand my view. Everyone else you mentioned eventually or already had respect from others, they were not considered just some fat loser by the entire village. I never said others didn't have a sad story as well. Sasuke, losing all his family and clan to his brother of course is traumatic, but he had so many people who wanted to be with and around him. He was never made to feel like less than a person. Itachi DID have a choice, he chose to murder his clan to save more lives. But nonetheless he chose that path. Something he indeed had control over. Kakashi losing his father was painful for sure, but he had (again) so many people who cared for him and respected his strength and didn't treat him like less than a person. For your last statement, yes choji in fact did have to be fat. If you look at his father, and all akimichi clan members, are much heavier than the others, their genetics are heavier set people. It's like you telling a somoan person that they're fat and it's controllable. They are naturally bigger people. Extremely strong people. It's in their DNA. Every person you mentioned had respect and more than just shikimaru looking out for them. All choji had was shikimaru. Even asuma degraded choji several times. Ino as well. Enemies, everyone treated choji as less than a person. Everyone you mentioned had bad things happen in their life. But only choji was treated bad for existing
Almost all the characters are underrated because this show is only really about a couple of characters and the rest are just there to get beaten up to make these special ones look better
I agree, Personally I low key feel like if Kakashi rejected the task of leading team 7 of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, Genma would be the next best option. He was under the Platoon Guard of Minato and could manage controlling the Chunin exams.
@@eltonndimande5244 Yeah, I really like that idea, mostly because he would get so much character development, and he could show what he is capable of. Maybe using the flying raijin by himself later in the story. And yes, you are right, if he can guard the hokage and controlling the exams, he can manage the trio.
Shino for sure is my favorite. As soon as he appeared i loved him. He definitely is underrated which sucks. Id love if they expanded on him way more in Boruto. Wouldve loved to have a member of his clan on Borutos team 🤷♂️
Of the main cast of characters Kankuro and Shino are the ones I became or interested in, mainly because of their power sets. Puppet and assassin bugs are just cool concepts for actual ninjas and them holding their own in an ever-increasing world of basically Z fighters seem more interesting. Shikamaru is another one of my favorites because of the usefulness of his abilities. All three of these characters are also known for being fairly intelligent compared to their peers while still having put effort into an on the fly plan, which is a character trope I enjoy. For characters even further removed characters with cool abilities and design, I've always been a fan of Kimimaro and Pakarua. The Shikotsumyaku and Scorch release are abilities I wish we could have seen more of. Honestly would be more interested in the idea of a Naruto series earlier in the timeline focused around one of the other hidden villages and what makes them strong/unique. If we're only going to get a Hiden Leaf centered story then I'm more interested in Minato and Sasuke Sarutobi
I think Dosu from the sound ninja deserved more, his jutsu was so unique as well as the amplifier device on his arm. I hate that the sound jutsu was one of the most unique and powerful jutsus but only appeared in part 1
My main problem with sakura is how she's attached to Sasuke. Like, no matter how many bad things he does to her naruto or their friends she still wants him. And I have the same problem with naruto so it's not a just sakura thing
Atleast with naruto, it makes sense since they’re both reincarnations destined to kill one another so naruto not giving up on him despite this and breaking the cycle of hatred falls in line with the story. Sakura on the other hand is a different story..
@@jaybronx98 even that is dumb with how much hes done how much he's wronged them he should have been begging for forgiveness not giving in to their attempts at forgiveness
@@loganangell9905 no it’s not bc that logic goes against the main themes of the story which is literally being able to change your destiny and overcoming hatred. The reason you find it dumb is bc you look at their relationship and compare it to real life friendships which you shouldn’t. There’s nothing realistic about 2 reincarnations being stuck in an endless cycle of hatred for over 1000 years destined to kill one another.
@@jaybronx98 my guy you literally just described why it's bad it's not realistic. And the reincarnation part makes it even more dumb because they don't know they are reincarnations till the end
@@loganangell9905 my guy.. you do know just bc something isn’t realistic, doesn’t mean it’s bad right?😂 otherwise why are you even watching fictional stories? Stick to non fiction if that’s your issue. Ninjas with superpowers and magical eyes isn’t realistic but it’s entertaining. And why’s it dumb that they didn’t know they were reincarnations? That’s actually a common trope in fiction, a lot of reincarnations don’t know they are until a certain point in the story.
The characters and reasonings definitely satisfied. You should do videos for some of the underrated characters to bring them more of the spotlight. I’d watch that
Honestly, I hate almost all the females in Naruto..... Kishimoto is a talented man, but he did a horrible job with the female characters' personality. Hinata is bearable because at least she isn't fighting over man n bullying other people. 5:51
Names will be omitted to avoid spoilers, with 1 exception: 10. Queen of being useless 7:28 - Kakashi wasn't an Otsutsuki, nor a user of 6 paths chakra. I don't care about her achievements. If she doesn't do anything with it, it doesn't matter. Her achievements are less than 10% of the episodes she appears it. 9. Fair point. 8. Shizune is Tsunade's greatest student & is regularly shown healing people, especially *relevant* characters. She gets plenty of love. 7. Bootleg Hashirama gets no love beyond comic relief. 6. Chuck Norris of Naruto is a fair point. 5. Jiraiya's students, beside Yahiko, Nagato, Minato & Naruto, should all be on the list. 4. Fair point. 3. Fair point. 2. Again, Fair point. Dollar store Itachi needs more love. 1. Fair point.
i have always had a soft spot for tenten yeah yeah i know she barely gets screen time from the the bits and pieces we get from her i think she's a really fun character and she's always fun in the filler content. she is unironically tied for my favorite female character together with ino (another underrated character in my opinion). i also think her strength is also very disrespected she learned to use two legendary weapons with no difficulty she only lacks chakra to become a a top tier fighter in my opinion. i really think there is no character more undeservedly disrespected as tenten in my opinion sure she got one shot bay tamari in the chunin exams but honestly i think she just got a bad match up she was easily the strongest female in the chunin exams besides tamari who could probably defeat everybody from konoha except maybe shino, neji and arguably sasuke and probably stronger than most of the guys the only characters i think could win against her are sasuke, shino the sand trio, shikamaru, lee and neji she could probably beat naruto because at the time naruto couldn't much against long range fighters like her. i'm sorry for making it so long but i'm happy i finally said i was too scared before this video to defend tenten. also i can't wait for the most overrated characters where i can talk about why sasuke is the worst konoha 13 character.
Ngl my loyalty stays with Zabuza but Danzo was an incredibly good villian. My only gripe with his character is bro looked like he stepped fresh outta the ER 💀 like damn bro
I would say Hinata i know she is loved alot but shes loved by most for all the wrong reasons i.e. big booba, hinata not only created the lion fists at the age of 14 but also at the age of 11 reimagined the Hakkeshō Kaiten into her own version (I know its a filler episode but its seen used in the games and nick used konan defeating sasori from NUNS4) and she always gets compared to Neji whenever she is mentioned
From my circles, the hate that's garnered towards Sakura isn't focused on what she does, but what she doesn't do. This is a character that's supposed to be on the same level as Naruto and Sasuke. Her medical ninjutsu is only matched by Tsunade, she's one of only two people to summon a majority of Lady Katsuyu's full body, she's immune to Genjutsu (an ability that typically one shots most characters) and she learned the Hundred Healing Technique. Yet a majority of her plot is about her trying to catch up to the boys, and her defining character trait is her frankly sociopathic love towards Sasuke. She should've had the most compelling and interesting plotline of the Konoha 12, yet she's relegated to being the girl whom the edgy bad boy gets at the end.
I can appreciate how passionate nick is about Sakura but I’m sorry I just cant feel the same way. Most of her development happened off screen and I feel like we all had a chuckle at the “I finally caught up to them” line. I’m not saying she didn’t progress but it just wasn’t written well enough to change my opinion on her. I don’t watch or read Boruto so obviously if the way she’s written changed then that’s over my head.
Do I think Sakura has somewhat good development yes. Do I think she's great no. Her not being Special isn't really an excuse for not doing much in part 1 or bullying an orphan for being an orphan in front of an orphan
Based on what you said about Shino, can earth release be a counter to Otsutsukis too? Since most earth release is just manipulating earth that already exists instead of making it through chakra
Aoba became one pf my favorite characters when i was rewatching Shippuden. Picking up on his subtle genius and ask that, and then how he was anyways there like you said. Seeing him in the thumbnail is why i clicked on this video, lol.
I understand why Tayuya is pretty much forgotten, but in my eyes, she was cut down too quickly. Clearly, genjutsu is pretty OP in Naruto, but for some reason, the Uchiha and occular gen pretty much dominates in terms of representation. Sound based genjutsu mixed with those awesome ghost summons definitely made her battle tactics stand out. Plus, she looked cool as heck and had a cool enough characterization You can say that a lot of other characters are more powerful, that's true, but there aren't many that have abilities that are quite as interesting in terms of battle tactics and counters as Tayuya
Sakura may not have been useless but she was super boring while on screen in most of og naruto (sakura vs Ino) as well as she was so mean to naruto and didn’t consider others feelings so deserves some hate
You talk a lot about Sakuras stength and what she achived. But most of hatered I think is related to how anoying she was in 1st part of Naruto and sometimes in shippuuden. And also how she was used to make more filler based of how much she miss and love Sasuke.
Sakura is skilled and has the strength. Plus one of the best glow ups for the Konoha 13. Adult Sakura is just chef kiss in terms of design. I think it’s just her personality that turns a lot of people off. The tsundere trope doesn’t always work for a lot of people, particularly western audiences. Pair that with some of her questionable choices and you have a recipe for disaster. Part 1 definitely has a lot to do with that. Which undoubtedly left a lot of people with a sour impression, that is hard to get rid of. But like you say, her love for Sasuke was probably her biggest weakness/most hated part of her character. At least Naruto obsession made a bit more sense in them being rivals/brother/lovers?(idk, however you want to see it. You do you.) similar levels of respect or acknowledgement of each other and their abilities. Plus having similar backgrounds. Allowing for a much deeper bond vs a girl with a crush on a guy who very clearly at most, only considered her a platonic friend/familial comrade during part I. Even less reasons for her crush to persist into Shippuuden when Sasuke outright ignored and very nearly killed/would have let her die multiple times. (Not trying to hate on Sasusaku shippers but any mutual love these two had for one another, was definitely developed after the war.) Sakura should’ve been allowed to outgrow and move past that and become a strong woman not in his shadow or at least show them developing MUTUAL feelings in non toxic ways. They have potential but the way Kishimoto portrayed their relationship and most importantly Sakura’s near dependency on gaining Sasuke’s love above all else, did a disservice to her.
And also THANKYOU for talking about Shizune as well!! Something that I also always wanted to see, was her just destroy some shit in the show. Like some Akatsuki winds up finding out the hard way, that she's just as good with Tsunade's Super Strength technique as Tsunade is.
Sakura is OVERrated AF. I can't understand what anyone could find interesting about her, ever. And she does have a lot of screentime, comparatively to some other characters. Her personality and pointless aggression towards Naruto all but became boring after the first couple of such occasions. Her only goal in life as a ninja is lusting over Sasuke, this goal was set from the moment she was introduced and was never changed, while other characters aspired of things with actual substance. She has not a sliver of selfrespect and her character growth (including power level) feels artificial and unnatural - we literally never saw her actually train herself except that one time under Tsunade, in a flashback after the big timeskip. Her special talent is... literally something anyone could achieve given enough time - good chakra control. And her combat abilities - i'm specifically referring to the "body strength" feats here - are total BS, because there are a LOT of other shinobi with good chakra control... but somehow NO ONE EVER tried doing that precise chakra release from a fist thingy, which enhances Sakura's and Tsunade's punches? I'm not buying that.
"If you don't like this character, I don't care about your opinion" is quite the statement to make. People don't dislike Sakura because they under rate her abilities, that she barely makes any actual use of until the plot requires her to save the main character. She's heavily disliked because her personality is trash and, for the amount of main character screen time she gets, she accomplishes almost nothing. Part 1: Completely irrelevant. Shippuden: Her obsession with Sasuke is a constant annoyance, to the point that she tried to emotionally manipulate Naruto with a false love confession, weaponizing his long standing crush on her, disgusting. She was basically just a tool for Chiyo to use against Sasori, however you want to spin it, and they still only won because Sasori wanted to die. After watching Pain destroy her village, she just sat there and cried for Naruto instead of doing anything with her power. Even Hinata, who knew she couldn't win and would likely die in the attempt, stepped up. She plot armored Naruto after Kurama was extracted, when Kishimoto could have just remembered that Uzumaki's have ridiculous chakara pools and can survive for quite some time after getting their tailed beast removed. She got one clean hit on Kaguya and it's pretty much the only real use she was in the war considering the monstrous power she's supposed to have. Finally, after all that she basically begged Sasuke, who tried to kill her twice, to love her which he finally caves to when he has had no reason or motivation to do so, nor did he show any romantic feelings toward her, ever. There is more than enough reason to dislike Sakura and it has nothing to do with her powers. She is, objectively, a bad person. Also, notice how nothing here has anything to do with her being a female, as you have previously blamed her character flaws on sexism without any evidence for that. Swag has a more detailed video demonstrating exactly how terrible Sakura is. Having an interesting powerset is worthless if the character barely uses it and is a repulsive person.
I think that with the sakura thing -- in my mind she was the closest thing to what rock lee and the younger naruto represented, which is hard work. EDIT: Aoba can read your mind if he is near you for long enough. Basically a hardcore introvert who can read the room. Yup, underrated and reminds me of a death note character.

@@ironrevenger9386I swear I thought Anko was for sure gonna be more important. 😭
No one can interfere with a choice such as this.” Everything goes the same with a few minor changes due to Anko’s death…
I don't think that Kurenai ever being the strongest genjutsu user is canon.

She isn’t underrated… she’s just poorly written.
its true tenten is a wasted potential but I don't think it whould make much of a difference since tenten is presentation of what a mediocore shinobi is in the story so I don't think she will be any good in hidden mist even tho probably could be a little stronger than his current self because she is hard working but not half as much as other supporting nor main characters and she is definetly not working smarter so in the end she is just a mediocore character shows what a normal shinobi lookslike it could be a different story if she was trained in senjus weapon arts but it's really hard and like only way in my openion
And she does this in a village that's always wet which really messes with paper especially folding paper

Kakashi was always just such a bad teacher. Great and powerful character, but how anyone handed him a team of Genins is beyond mr

I stopped watching / getting in to Naruto but I decided to get back into it earlier this year, but I know he is really underrated lol
Considering how the manga handled kakuzu vs kakashi, kakuzu was a beast, so trying to fight him 1 on 1 is crazy
I know him, I've liked him since his epic entrence at the arena during the Konoha Crush arc.
And he was only a tokubetsu jounin too.
I like the Aoba vs Pain fight
"We can't have every character introduced be the main character."
He clearly has not gotten into Star Wars EU.
I think Genma is really underrated. Awesome look, mouth game strong with the Senbon, was chosen to both guard and use Flying Thunder Formation by Minato. Not to mention, I found him funny. I would have loved to see more from him, but I seem to be the only one to care about him (from what I've seen)
Yeah I thought he was a cool character
I agree, Personally I low key feel like if Kakashi rejected the task of leading team 7 of Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, Genma would be the next best option. He was under the Platoon Guard of Minato and could manage controlling the Chunin exams.
@@eltonndimande5244ngl it would actually be pretty cool. Imagine genma learning that naruto is the 4th hokage's son from the 3rd hokage or jiraiya and then him teaching naruto the flying raijin.
Then naruto would have both the jutsu's his father developed.
My boy Aoba fought hand to hand with Kakuzu, he deserves respect.
Shino and Konan are not underestimated, everyone knows they're legit. I totally agree with Aoba, I think his crow jutsu is super cool and it's a shame we don't see him more. And I remember his name very well.
Maybe a “you know nothing about sai”?
yamato is honestly my favorite naruto character and the fact that in boruto he is stuck watching over orochimaru, the man that pretty much ruined his life, is honestly pretty sad. the guy just wanted a place where he could belong and the series said that place was isolated from the people he loves looking after a person he hates.
It’s justice through irony
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Yamato would want said job. Yamato wouldn't want anyone to go through what he did, and the best way to ensure that is to constantly guard Orochimaru, and anything FROM Orochimaru.
and somehow he allowed Orochimaru to run artificial test tube babies and create so many Mitsukis?
Man Yamato is so bad at his job now. @@Sassaparilla

Shino is and has been a beast, a silent killer. He was low key more of a "ninja" than any of the others
Yup, Shino has the attitude and skill set of a real world ninja. Aloof, never underestimates his opponent, and hiding his appearance
He doesn’t even use jutsu though, all he does is swing the weakest 7sword of the mist around haphazardly lol
Same I was expecting big things from Suigetsu. He didnt really do much but get punched in the face by Karin. They just made a joke of him.
@@MonroeSim He did basically reveal he can use the Hozuki Water Pistol though. Y'know, one of the most dangerous, discrete attacks of that Clan? There's a reason he points at Sasuke with a damn finger gun when we are first introduced to him.
@@Sassaparilla oh yeah I forgot about that pistol jutsu, nevermind
We need to see more hyuga period, it just feels weird Naruto is so closely related and they are such a big deal in Konoha but we only know a few of them
Don't get your hopes high
She is a fictional character you can any fictional character for there underrated stats or under use
They were written ‼️
Well, Kishimoto does seem to have an issue handling female characters. Sakura was horribly used; ill decisions when she was showing development or growth, lack of impact after Sasori, etc.
Aoba is really cool, though. Sakura deserved better.
@@letstalkwhy93lol no
@@franciscocota6440 The easiest way to use her would be making her the brains of the operation.
The fact ten ten wasnt even on the list just goes to prove how underrated she is... 😢😢
She's not underrated, she just straight up sucks

😢
@@bastianokamiro5421Dolores Umbridge was sadistic for the sake of her sadism, using her role in the ministry as an excuse

I understand that he went up against the zombie duo and countless people died in some messed up ways. But they literally let him (behead) a guy, and Then Hidan's head is sewn back on him and Then he kills Asuma. They could have written that a little differently in my opinion.
Since you asked, I always felt Hayate didn't get enough love. Doesn't help he was killed off so fast, but I liked his moon based kenjutsu techniques
he was a weakling
I always loved Danzo conceptually, but his actual performance in the story, especially in battles makes it hard to appreciate him. Getting thoroughly schooled in his one major fight is not a good look for such a menacing and skilled/experienced character
I’m surprise Dosu, Kin, and Zaku didn’t get a honorable mention. Using sound based powers is so op if they lived passed Konoha Crush arc

@@K4mui2152 That's fair, she's more of a candidate for a "You Know Nothing" style video than an "Underrated Characters" video.

@MibuInMalibu And let's just ignore everything she did after that with the substitution jutsu. A strategy very becoming of a shinobi.

Theory: could MS abilities be influenced by the event that unlocked them?
Kamui both Kakashi and Obito were unable to stop Rin's death ... They both felt powerless and unable to reach her in time: so pocket dimension.
Shisui: his MS abilities came from hope and the desire to change the world: so mind control
Sasuke: literally wanted to burn the world, first his brother and then the leaf. He burned bridges with the leaf. So Amaterasu.
Itachi burned bridges with his clan and felt trapped and tortured by his loyalties to the leaf vs the clan: so Amaterasu and Trapping/Torture Genjutsu.
Characters that wanted to protect something got access to Susanoo
Characters that wanted to or were forced to destroy got Amaterasu
Characters that wanted to change things got Genjutsu abilities
Characters who were unable to be at the right place at right time got teleportation/phasing abilities
underrated theory. gj never thought of it this way!
Anko would have been so cool being explored way more especially as one of Orochimaru's test subjects

Aoba isn't the guy in the picture all the way to the left. That's Ibisu. Aoba is between Gai and Kakashi in the background.
the rant about "Danzo" from around 29:21 to like 29:59 was incredible
I remember how I watched Naruto as a kid and Anko in chunnin exam arc seemed really badass. It's a shame what remains of her now.
But he is genuinely likeable
& displays main character traits.
@@wowdhaewow8901 It was quite well established that choji was pretty much constantly eating, the clan pretty much weaponized calories.

I’d watch that
Thank you for this 🙏🏻 Shino was always my favorite. So underatted. Let's be honest, he could solo the verse 😝
This is my favorite list I've seen from you so far. Agree with so many of these.
Honestly, I hate almost all the females in Naruto..... Kishimoto is a talented man, but he did a horrible job with the female characters' personality. Hinata is bearable because at least she isn't fighting over man n bullying other people. 5:51
Names will be omitted to avoid spoilers, with 1 exception:
9:00 Ibiki Morino, or as I like to call him, Guantanamo Commando.
She never was supposed to be on par with them more like medic assistant than main fight gal
@Awoken777normal? Are kidding?
@Awoken777 if you mean betraying your country for a rogue psychopath in unknown activities then yes it's totally normal love
@Awoken777 also stopping your friends to get hang of him even if making them unconscious to meet him yourself then again yes
Her not being Special isn't really an excuse for not doing much in part 1 or bullying an orphan for being an orphan in front of an orphan
another great vid, def brings me back to some of the cool undervalued characters
Based on what you said about Shino, can earth release be a counter to Otsutsukis too? Since most earth release is just manipulating earth that already exists instead of making it through chakra
Possibly puppets too, only using Chakra to control the puppets.
Plus, she looked cool as heck and had a cool enough characterization
You can say that a lot of other characters are more powerful, that's true, but there aren't many that have abilities that are quite as interesting in terms of battle tactics and counters as Tayuya
Zabuza was my introduction to having my favorite anime characters die early and it is a curse that has stuck with me.
Sakura may not have been useless but she was super boring while on screen in most of og naruto (sakura vs Ino) as well as she was so mean to naruto and didn’t consider others feelings so deserves some hate
neji & rock lee sitting in the corner and asking to themselves why they ain't in the video
You do you.)
similar levels of respect or acknowledgement of each other and their abilities.
(Not trying to hate on Sasusaku shippers but any mutual love these two had for one another, was definitely developed after the war.)
Sakura should’ve been allowed to outgrow and move past that and become a strong woman not in his shadow or at least show them developing MUTUAL feelings in non toxic ways.
Shippuden:
Her obsession with Sasuke is a constant annoyance, to the point that she tried to emotionally manipulate Naruto with a false love confession, weaponizing his long standing crush on her, disgusting.
Yup, underrated and reminds me of a death note character.
i agree with a lot of these especially since i've started watching more recently and haven't seen too much online about opinions on characters
