- GUYS we finally got in a Axius Alpha!! I was so stoked to be able to shoot that bow! Its a freaking smooth shooting bow and I love it! Ive got a hard choice to make with which bow I will end up buying!

About 7 yrs ago I bought a Hoyt Carbon Matrix. I had been shooting a Browning Ballistic Mirage, 31" draw at 82 lbs since I bought it new in 1994. At 53 yrs old, I figured the Hoyt would be the last bow I ever bought. The dealer didn't have an 80 lb model in stock, but I figured 80 lbs is 80 lbs so I had him order me one. When it came in, I had him turn it up to 82 lbs just like my Browning. When I tried to draw it, I couldn't budge it. I had him back it off to 75 lbs and I could move the string about 10". I ended up having to turn it down to 70 lbs just be able to draw it. The cams were that much more aggressive than my Browning. I never could shoot that bow very well so I sold it for $400.00. Went back to my Browning and have still been killing deer ever since.

Had a Helix turbo last year #3 cam at 28.5 inch draw 66lb. Just got a rx4 turbo 61 LB 28 inch draw #2 cam that’s is 22 fps quicker than old Helix.

Thanks for the video man. I'm still waiting for the #2 cam to come in. I have 4 shops waiting to call me. I shot it at 28/70 #3 cam and was one of the best bows I've ever shot. I love how small it is. When you have it beside the VXR 28 it just feels and looks smaller. I've shoot most the new bows now. I'm down to the VXR 28 and the Axius Alpha w/#2 cam. The Axius Alpha at 28 on the 3cam was really smooth to me but lose so speed. I want to at least shoot it abe see how it feels. Kinda nice not being in a rush to buy a bow. I can't really take my time here. Probably gonna be the last one I buy for awhile.
Heck ya man!! That’ll be an awesome bow to buy!! Hoyt does make some killer bows! I’ve loved my rx1 and now I’m tempted to get the AXIUS alpha haha
@@HaxenHunt I am right there with you. I have a rx1. I love it a I'm not going to sale it. I want a small bow. I live in the hollows in and around the mountains of central Pennsylvania. Long hikes in hunting out of treestands. I'm a little worried that hoyt will come out with a awesome 28 inch bow next yr. With the smaller risers this year, im think they are set up for a rx-28 next year and if that happens I'm gonna be pissed because I wanted that this year Haha
Don't forget the 80%let off option the speed gain will surprise you

@@MikeyWoomer most people don't,Hoyt offers it,so I thought why not.the shop I dealt with didn't stock the no.2 cam,so 27 inch on the 3 was hitting 268 fps after the let off swap 281 was hit.the 2 cam was to aggressive,they said.anyway have a good one.
Anyone have the helix turbo and have problems with the stings and cables wearing fast? I’m on my second set of strings and iv only had it 7 months since new
Great review loving your style of reviews. I'm watching from Australia and looking to upgrade from a Defiant TURBO 2017 and am contemplating getting a 2019 Helix in Blackout, Storm or Verde 2.0. Which colour out of those 3 looks the best in your opinion. I've got no shops that have any colours to look at here in Oz
I'd say blackout or verde 2.0 imo
Im running a 70 lb 2019 hoyt helix in blackout and its an awesome bow, so quiet, easy to tune, fast and very stable in the hand

I went with the Axius Alpha. The Helix turbo was way rougher draw imo.
Getting more speed out of the Axius Alpha, I would take it over the Helix Turbo every time. Great review!

Did you notice much difference in string angles? Being at 30” on the axius. What is the total weight of your arrow setup?
Not much of a difference on the string angle! I’m shooting a 437 grain arrow
Picked mine up tonight. Shooting 284fps with a 507 grain arrow. It’s a sweet shooting bow.

Change draw on the Axius to 29 then do a review worth watching. This wasn’t a fair review for the Turbo. That one inch of draw could’ve made 10-12 feet of difference if not more.

No! I wish I could! Haha I’m just lucky to have an awesome local shop that lets me test the bows out! I want to be able to buy them in the future to be able to give them all away after I’ve done my testing and videos! My biggest goal is to give as many bows away as possible! Haha
