As always, I am very grateful to you, Mr. Hendry - for sharing your adventure with us. You are truly blessed to have access to such an amazing part of the world. As the 14th birthday of WildEarth approaches, I just wanted to say "thanks" to you for the wonderful WE memories I have of you. I only started watching it at the beginning of the pandemic, and you were one of the first guides I was introduced to.....Whenever they show one of your clips, I always give a shout out to you on the live stream chat....and I am NOT alone in that regard. Please know, James - that while I am very happy for your in your current endeavors, you are thought of often by us WE'ers and are missed.....

Loved the antics of the young baboons and the adult hanging onto juniors tail. Too funny. Was waiting in anticipation for hippo dung to be flung onto the hapless Jacana. Great footage you 2. The Chobe River looks amazing

What a fantabulous holiday! The cruise looked wonderful! Yes, I see what you meant about the Baboons .. soooo funny, especially Mumma and baby! Kirsten, so love the facial expressions! James, you and Kirsten are so well matched! Thank you again for a terrific trip through South Africa. It certainly gives me a different perspective. I was there in 1971 (I was 13yrs old) in Cape Town on a ship from England to Australia. I managed to get on a tour bus (4 people on it) that showed the worst parts of Cape Town. The images have never left me. Thank you both for showing me the beauty. Blessings always

That excellent lodge seems not to have changed since 2008. Wonderful memories of cruises and game drives. Elephants walked on both sides of our stopped vehicle on the way to the river. My wife is not an animal person but adored these giants and all the other wildlife. Memories that last...Africa!
Enjoyed this so much as I lay in bed recovering from COVID....

The more I watch this couple I realize, and I'm sorry I didn't get it sooner, that Kirsten is the funny one that keeps James films entertaining.
The boat cruise from Chobe Safari Lodge. You chose well. We've done that many times over the years. After a long drive from Gaborone it was a nice way to relax that first evening before self-drives began the following morning. I look forward to your next episode from Mkgadikgadi. This is the time of year to be in the Kalahari area. With the rains, not as much draw to Chobe. Go back there sometime in September or October (if you dare due to the heat!). The baboons were hilarious this time!

What a luscious piece this is--visually and aurally. I loved the opening and the closing and the magical "dance of the baboons" set to the perfect music. Elephants galore--the whole thing was just lovely! The colors were spectacular. So nicely done.

Wow, what a beautiful trip down the Chobe. The baboons playing had me cracking up. "Here, smell my feet." Then the mom holding junior by the tail. Rofl! Great choice of music once again Kirsten. I love the Drunken Sailor song and it goes through my head a long time after hearing it. Kinda making me want to learn to play it on my fiddle or tin whistle. My kind of breakfast! Thanks again you two for such a wonderful video and letting us tag along.

Keep up the good work! Just loving this series! The yearning to go there is making my stomach twist! Just the other day a mate asked if I could go anywhere in the world where would it be and I said Chobe and the Okavango! Wish I could get enough time away to get up that side! Unfortunately as a small business owner if I had to leave for any extended time it would just be chaos with the staff and their work! But maybe one day the god's will bless me and allow me to go where my soul longs to be even if only for a short while!
Every moment of this episode was truly spectacular. The footage on the Chobe River (yes?) was so brilliantly blue and beautiful I was moved to tears. Nature does that to me sometimes. But, knowing you two, James & Kirsten, were enjoying it live, behind the camera made it even more special. The African sunset at the finale wrapping up this episode of “me, my wife and the wildlife” was perfect. Can’t wait for the next series.

Another fantastic episode! Loved the ellies and the baboons were so funny. I remember Jamie saying a long time ago that she would love to have a tail. Watching Mama Baboon it makes sense! Charle, I was waiting for a baboon to pick up a large bone and whack another baboon upside his head. Then a natural segue away to a vid of the ISS slowly moving through space.

Sometimes.... just sometimes I feel that the wife and the wildlife are one and the same.
Rub it in James! I was booked to go there last October with Lawson's but COVID shut that down.
But with travel back on I just came back from Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe and loved it.
But I made this year, just got back two weeks ago. Between Chobe, Zanbezi and another river that I can;t remember the name of, the birding was excellant.
I know you have a relationship with Chobe4x4 but for someone who does not know how to drive manual transmission (and outside Europe it's quite common for people not to know how to drive manual), can you recommend a company that rents automatics transmission campers.

Gambling with your camera. In the beginning, leaving it on the road like that unsupervised. A baboon could have run off with it. Now that would have been funny for us viewers to see. Not so much yourself though. Enjoyed this video, actually enjoy them all. Saw life jackets on the boat and thought that was good to see. However, not sure what to say, because if the boat springs a leak or whatever and it sinks, you are left with angry hippos that would like to kill you and hungry crocodiles that want to eat you. Not sure you will make it out alive, the orange puffy vest just makes it easier for the hippo and crocs to locate you, bobbing in the water. :)
Nice and lonely! I think you may need to makje a choice of music! Here it becomes the main thing and distracts from the nice scenery. I prefer background music which is not nboticed. It is jsut there. Another reminder not to visit during the wet season!
