    There's nothing quite like Chobe. But, I also know it's a challenging time to see game there. While it's beautiful, with all the rain, the game no longer needs to come to the river as frequently. There's water further south. I've been there in October and seen thousands of elepants. I've been there in March and April and one time saw ONE elephant. We've camped at Serondela but the last time there, I didn't like the new rules for the local guides from the Kasane area. Routes handed out a the gate and then no back-tracking. Maybe that has changed again. This was several years ago.

    • @JamesHendry
      @JamesHendry  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We didn't get any routes handed to us - maybe things have changed? The rains definitely did change the movement of the animals, would love to go back in the dry season to see the difference...

    • @dungbeetle14
      @dungbeetle14 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JamesHendry The routes were handed out at the Kasane gate to the drivers in the early morning. At the time, self-drives couldn't enter there until 10am! Then, they had to drive straight to Ihaha. I hope it has changed. We first went to Chobe in 1988 in a Volkswagen Passat pulling a trailer! We had no clue, but we never got stuck driving all around Serondela. Really enjoy your videos and your unique understanding of wildlife interactions.
