    I really think that Rainman guy makes your videos at least 15% more awesome, plus he is a snazzy dresser who always matches! Great video as always sir, look forward to the next one

    Great video! If you ever get to southern Utah, check out Kanarraville Falls. Best slot canyon I have hiked in Utah. It now takes a permit to go there, but well worth it. WAY better than the Narrows in Zion National Park.

    As a Texas resident, there are a handful of places in Texas I truly love to explore and camp ... Palo Duro is one of them. If you liked the "Grand Canyon of Texas," I highly recommend a visit to Big Bend National Park ... but do it between late Fall and early Spring ... otherwise it will be too hot.
    Did you guys make your way to Lighthouse Rock while at PDC? That's one of my favorite parts of the park.

    • @SpiguyverBackpacking1
      @SpiguyverBackpacking1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We did not, we were in a different section, although next time we're out that way that will likely be one of the areas we'll explore! Thanks!

      I did get the Hazelnut coffee, it will be in another video down the road! Thank you! You need to find a way out there, but be prepared, not a lot of places to hang. Although, we did find a couple spots that would have worked great.

      Spiguyver Backpacking it’s what humans have always done. Since the days of the caveman we decorated our rocks and left our marks.

    • @vikotto

      Would prefer, but open to any place with the features I mentioned...remote, picturesque campgrounds.

    • @SpiguyverBackpacking1
      @SpiguyverBackpacking1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can get a backcountry camping permit at the ranger station on the way in to the canyon and then there is a general area that you are allowed to camp in. You can pick anywhere out there that suits your camping needs and it is well away from the normal people.

      @@SpiguyverBackpacking1 mtobrien83@gmail.com if your interested in the details. 3 days, a little 30-34 miles. With 1.5 day water carry out (and up +2k) to halfway and 1.5 day water carry back (and up 2k) is the major obstacle. From the few views of campsites I've researched, you could even bring your hang kit I think.

      Thanks, it’s not easy to get to, and there are no trails. Some of the areas are sketchy! From Palo Duro main area, look at going over Mesquite Park, then into the next canyon. The slots are very hard to find, i did a lot of google earth searching to pinpoint areas I thought they existed
