    By far my favorite method I've found so far. I've made two blankets, and I'm working on three more for Christmas gifts. I love the mix of the pearl stitches with the regular ones, it comes out looking so beautiful. Thank you!

    Thank you for this very instructive video, it was very helpful and easy to follow. I have made and gifted my very first Chunky Chenille Two Color Blanket..and so enjoyed the process of learning to hand knit in this way, not to mention how soothing and relaxing it was to do. I will definitly be making more of these to gift to the special folks in my life. It was helpful also to be able to order my yarn directly from you know that I am supporting a female entrepreneur. Wishing you continued success.

    Can you use this pattern with the jumbo chenille yarn. I ordered two colors in the jumbo from you and I am super excited to try to make a blanket as a gift for my Mom. Thank you for your amazing videos and inspiration.

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jody, you sure can! For Jumbo you will need less stitches though. For a 40x60 inches blanket you will need 17-18 stitches (21 for chunky)

    I have tried this but I can't do it, what is the thickness of the wool, I think I was using the wrong wool

  • @annerenk7109
    @annerenk7109 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Most videos DO NOT explain there is a significant difference in knitting with merino wool vs chenille yarn, I learned the hard way. Just a few tips I have found when working with chenille is to (a) chenille yarn is smaller in diameter than merino wool so you will need more of it unless you purchase Becozi's JUMBO Chenille which is then the same size as the wool (b) as mentioned in the video, she used smaller loops to make a tighter stitch - this creates a better product with chenille whereas wool comes out better with larger loops, (c) she is 100% correct in that chenille yarn is the more cuddly comfy blanket (d) chenille yarn frays very easily so it is always best to tie off the ends before you begin and I always secure the tie ons and or tie off with a few stitches. (e) to avoid that awful back pain, work with yarn/ blanket facing you so you don't have to lean over the table (f) it is very difficult to maintain even sized loops with chenille, so I use my fingers as a guide, when pulling the new loops through, I measure it by inserting my fingers into the loop - depending upon the size of the loop you want will dictate how many finger widths you will need - but if you do them too small your blanket will curl and twist until you have several rows done. This is primarily the same technique I use with my blankets. Chenille is very soft , easy to work with, quick and machine washable!!

      Thank you so much! I’m using regular chenille.
      I got to my third row thinking my finished product was gonna be pretty loose. I’m gonna start over and make my loops smaller with 22 or 24 stitches. Thanks again!

    I was wondering if I could make one of these using only the purl stitch if so do I need to start them different? Thank you

    • @becozi7313
      @becozi7313 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can use all purl stitches for the whole blanket. It is the same as using all knit stitches and then turn the blanket on another side - all stitches on another side will be purl stitches.

  • @robin4078

    What do you do with the end stitch that you skip? I continued on as you did, and mine is left hanging there, enabling the blanket to fall apart. How does that get worked in? I feel like I have to take it apart to work it in so it won't fall apart...

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The end stitch is being knitted. The first stitch is being skipped.:Knit all stitches in a row, when starting a new row -slkp the first. Repeat.

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should be connected at the beginning of the row and when knitting, twist it to stay on the back/in the middle of the stitches

  • @charliannelawrence9969
    @charliannelawrence9969 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How many rows do we make?

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Amount of rows varies as everybody knit differently: tighter or loser. For a small blanket - 5 skeins of BeCozi chunky chenille, use all. For a medium size, 40x60 inches - 7 skeins. Use it all.

    • @BeCozi

      This is hand knitting. It`s a new technique created by me, there is only one thing used from crocheting in this technique: making a chain casting on. Everything else is hand knitting.
