They could have meant something like like: "I have seen them around often" or "We had mutual friends but we did not talk" etc.
I think he meant they all worked at Buzzfeed, but he didn't know them.
Buzzfeed has been creating videos on the platform since 2011. They probably meant really knowing them. Like, I know Ryan Reynolds, have I met him? No. Guess they meant they neither met nor knew them. Buzzfeed isn't really small, both the company and the office spaces.
I think they meant "know of." Like you could hear their name around the office or see them in another video but never meet them.

I love how Eugene has influenced their style (their hairstyle as well), it's such a tangible sign of their friendship.
I love this friendship. It's in my humble opinion what makes their videos so great. Their chemistry is just fantastic. I hope that relationship always comes before business.
I just love the fact that Eugene doesn't really show his emotions a lot, but then said how he gained three brothers.
I love their bond and how strong it is! It's truly great to see such a nontoxic relationship between a group of guys :)

Weird things I noticed about their chairs:
- Keith’s is different than the rest
- Zach’s is taller than the rest
- Eugene is the only on one with both bar thingys down
- Keith and Ned both have the front bar down
- Neither of Zach’s are down
The way the different interviews were cut together is really good. Also, keeping each one in the same chair is really good too. Well done!

“I gained three brothers” was adorable, and as I was saying “awwwww” Zack comes in with “meeting these three ding dongs” which quickly changed my “awww” to a cackle, and my family has never looked at me weirder, after the strange choked noise that transition was.
I love that they love each other so much! Having great friends is one of the best parts of life.
