This artwork should be the refreshed issued artwork for the album if it were to be reissued. "Shadow Man" was only found on the K-Mart version and the Japanese import of the album. (Anyone ever wonder why he never showed this song in concert playing the keyboard from the stage just off center?) Fantastic cut he wrote.
It'd be awesome if they reissued Here at the Mayflower one day. There are quite a few great songs that are specific to the United Kingdom release, Japan release, etcetera. I greatly appreciate the remark about the cover art. I tried to match the aesthetic of the original to some degree.
Is this Barry writing about himself? Or is it what Barry wanted you to think about his image? When I got my copy of the Concord "Here at the Mayflower" CD at K-Mart in 2001, there was discussion about that, and his personal life. Makes a great closing track to a great album.
I believe someone asked him about this song in an interview. I read it somewhere not too long ago, but I do not recall where. I do agree that it's a great closing track. Enjoy!
