I don't think that was the point they were trying to make. Jaejun was very cold hearted and distant, but he truly seem to love his dog, which was uncharacteristic. He even "loved" his kid for the same reason, they all had the same affliction. Not comparing the kid and the dog or anything, it's basically a statement on how he can't love something/someone unless he relates to them.

Being colourblind isn't as dramatic or traumatic as this drama made it to be. Sheesh. And not even monochromatic? He only had dichromatic blindness. They don't even find out their whole lives because it feels that normal.
Because it’s the one thing Jae Jun can’t fix with money. He thinks money can buy anything, but he can’t fix his colour blindness with it. Also he likes being better then everyone, and wants everything…this one thing makes him feel like he doesn’t have it all.

For instance, they probably don't see the colour purple like you and I do. They see a different shade. Which is also why most people who have colour blindness can even go their whole life without finding it out.

Umm....no, it means that the writer is hinting that Jaejun is also colorblind through the dog. As like him, dogs can also see only yellow and blue. So it is a subtle hint that tries to tell us that Jaejun is colorblind.

As a colorblind myself i beg to differ. Even red colorblind can see red but on different shade.
Like when i was a kid and don't know how to read i used blue crayons for grapes, sometimes i used brown on leaves but it doesn't happen everytime. We can see colors but we arw confuse most of the time especially when someone make fun of us coz we don't want to say or mention the wrong color.

It should be color vision deficiency and not color blindness. Even "colorblinds" can see all colors but in different shade compared to those who have normal color vision.

Yo siempre creí que Jaejun tenía la necesidad de ser aceptado, amado y querido más que cualquier otra persona de los personajes debido a sentirse diferente desde pequeño. El daltonismo era su complejo, así que cuando supo que la hija de Yeonjin era daltónica sintió compasión porque él sabía cómo era serlo y las dificultades que traía, pero a la vez sintió alivio porque ahora no sería el único en su entorno, ahora había alguien más y de su propia sangre. Por eso lo del perro confirma que Jaejun siempre deseó aceptación, era su punto débil. Era como un verdadero perro, necesitaba esos afectos y se aferraba por sobre todo a Yeonjin.

I think the screen writers actually made a mistake . Because in the series his daughter is also colorblind but women and girls canot be colorblind it’s simply impossible

Damn...i wouldn't even wanna imagine how it is...truly. i am a painter and i was told i had some sort of malformation like an extra chrimozom or something, hat allows me to see extra shades of color that are not easly distinguised to the eye. Not sure what is called i was a child when i tested my eyes, to me as an artist is no worse nightmare than not beeing able to see cernain colors. My birth deffect proved to be extremly useful in my case but my bother who wanted to become a pilot failed the color test unfortunatelly...this is really sad, to have such condition..
