JR Ban'etsu West Line driver's view from Kōriyama to Aizu-Wakamatsu

The Banetsu West Line (Ban'etsu-sai-sen) is a railway line in Japan operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It connects Kōriyama Station in Fukushima and Niitsu Station in Niigata.
This line was planned in the 19th century to cross the mountains in the center of Japan and connect cities on the Pacific Ocean side with cities on the Sea of Japan side. The section between Kōriyama Station and Nakayamajuku Station was opened in 1898, and it was fully opened in 1917.
At that time, the locomotives were small and powerless, so this line was constructed to meander up and down Mt. Bandai. Enjoy the view of the winding railroad.
Mount Bandai is an active volcano, with major eruptions in 806 and 1888, which killed 477 people in the 1888 eruption.

Sorry, the train going to Aizu-Tajima Station leaves from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, but it's a different line from the Ban'etsu West Line in this video.
