      When she starts playing a less pedagogical repertoire it'll probably happen. This is student study music.

    It a pleasure to listen the works of these seldom played 19th century pioneering composers for the guitar. This gifted guitarist pays respects to these composers with her incredible technique and musicianship.

    The first Legnani piece although played nicely had a lot of changing tempos. The hardest part of those pieces are where she slowed it down. Still waiting for someone to blitz that whole thing through.

  • @Cuervo.AOE2
    @Cuervo.AOE2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It is very difficult to compare both composers, first, because of the works that are compared from each one, since they are not the most representative in both cases. For example, Legnani wrote the caprices for a commercial rather than artistic motivation, in the same way. that Mertz wrote the bardenkangle, being bedridden, alone with a pencil directly to the score, looking for a way to finance his economy at that bad time. In neither case is there any record that Legnani or Mertz performed those compositions (capricos and bardenkangle respectively) in any of their recitals, since those works were not part of their main concert repertoire. On the other hand, it is also difficult to compare them due to the style of each one, Legnani followed the classicist tradition of Vienna and added some romantic tinge, but Mertz was fully a composer of romantic works, so while Legnani aimed more at elegance and greatness, Mertz sought expression and feelings. As for virtuosity, I lean more towards Legnani, his concert repertoire includes difficult left hand passages, which require a lot of speed, big jumps and finger extensions. In terms of composition quality, I prefer Mertz, his music is very enveloping and expressive, he uses harmonies that immerse you in an atmosphere full of emotions. So, as my teacher said, if you want to impress men, play Legnani, if you want to make a woman fall in love, play Mertz.

    Legnani or Dionísio Aguado?

    • @Cuervo.AOE2
      @Cuervo.AOE2 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Legnani is the paganini of the guitar, he is probably the greatest virtuoso guitarist of his time. Aguado was also a virtuoso, but neither his compositions nor his level of instrumental execution are at the level of Legnani.

    Hard to judge , as only one guitar ( the first) was in tune. The second and fourth were way out and the third had a flat top E. And only useful as a comparison when playing the same piece, or not different sections from the same piece.

    odd to play so well technically, yet for some reason ignore rhythm markings. So many phrases make no sense. Great sound though. Just odd choices.

    A stunning guitarist. A shame that the lighting is really badly performed on this video. Wrong locations, wrong relative intensities, and wrong coloc grading. Very amateurish and unlike the other GSI's award-winning throat-hopping videos.
