There are very few guitarists alive who inject such good musicianship into these pieces. It is refreshing to hear someone actually pair beautiful musicianship alongside their impeccable technique. I personally am so bored with the "who can play it faster" trend in classical guitar. Well done by Vera and these composers are all surely smiling with approval over her beautiful interpretations...
I'm 74 and though my hearing is quite compromised, this music sounds nuanced and clear...AMAZING! IMHO This lady may be one of the greatest guitarists to have ever picked up the instrument! First time seeing Vera, how did I miss her? She is extraordinary, flawless, and has created so much space for herself to express so many nuances.A star for sure.
It's as if she is holding a conversation with guitar. Her facial expressions reacting to guitar's performance. I love watching her play, so expressive.
No fear, no ambivalence, no hesitation is the deepest location of the heart, where the mind is fully alert and adds honor to humanity. So glad to know such things exist as most valid solace and comfort to my soul.
It's a transformative experience listening to Vera's supreme mastery of the guitar. As a young man I felt that Julian Bream was the ultimate maestro of classical guitar then this year I discovered Katsuhiro Yamashita and then Vera Danilina who manage to elevate their tonal and expressive range and technical skills beyond what I imagined was possible. Sheer bliss and perfection. Some may find Vera's audibly heavy breathing distracting. I find it compliments the deep humanity and expressiveness of her brilliant performances.
Lots of people can enjoy this lady's playing, but you have to play or have tried to play at least a little guitar to understand how truly extraordinary she really is. I'm wondering what planet she came from. It's not nearly as easy as she makes it look! And then there's that little bit of playfulness and just a touch of sassiness. I mean, really?! I just have to keep coming back for more.

Когда смотришь премьеру одновременно с сотнями других зрителей, это воспринимается как живой концерт, чувствуешь и сопереживание других зрителей, и совсем другие чувства когда смотришь один в тишине, складывается полное ощущение, что исполнитель играет только для тебя, и музыка воспринимается совершенно по-другому. Романтик Таррега, со всей палитрой красок Испании, приправленный Русской лирикой, это хоть и не совсем так, как многие привыкли слышать, но убедительно и прекрасно на все 200% Про Токкату даже нечего добавить, это просто - ФАНТАСТИКА! Кравчук - лед и пламень, при этом и то и другое настолько восхитительно приятные, насколько только разрешает Вера, в этом она вся - контрастная и не предсказуемая! Не даром эту сонату Сергей и посвятил ей. Три богатели, это в моем представлении 3 сверлящих насквозь душу короткометражки, каждая о чем то своём большом, но не оставляет равнодушным никого. После них уже мысли улетают и хочется погрузится в свои мысли и чувства. Совершенно чумовая Кавалькада воспринимается как феерический Бис! После которого тоже очень волнительно и с чувством сыгранная Астурия возвращает снова на землю и наполняет душу теплом и радостью. Спасибо тебе Вера за такую гамму чувств.
Her eyes are closed through most of this. She's feeling her way through the music. Complete oneness with the instrument. She's achieved that level that 99 percent of musician's strive for. It's impressive to see and hear.
I played classical guitar to a fairly high standard in my youth. I wish I’d never stopped. I used to record myself but was always frustrated that the recording played back the sound of my breathing. Listening to this, I suddenly realise that I was fundamentally mistaken; the sound of the player’s breathing is beautiful. It adds to the feeling. This performance is quite stunning.

Refreshing, intense and powerful as I was expecting and looking forward to - but this time Vera also shared some of the most delicate and tender tones and transitions I have heard. I have to respond before reading other comments, and when the spirit still is high. This is simply brilliant! Refreshing, intense and powerful as I was expecting and looking forward to - but this time Vera also shared some of the most delicate and tender tones and transitions I have heard. Her control over the melody and the high definition of her play! I´m a humble hobby-guitarist at best, but can appreciate artistery!
