@@SN-hx4mg thanks for the feedback 👍 I've put links in description section below to various forms of this set, but mine was Smyths Toys and it is made by TP.
I didn't because the weight of the slide section keeps it all firm to the ground. If it was just the swings and no slide then I prob would have set posts using the anchors provided.
Help! I drilled the holes 119cm up, put the legs in and now cant turn them to face each other (right at the beginning of the instructions). Would you just drill new holes?
Did you have any issues with wood splitting when drilling / screwing? My DIY skills are not great but I have ordered the smaller one of this (one swing one slide) but I will likely be drilling the pilot holes but then manually screwing the (rather large I imagine) screws in.
If you drill the timber first, the wood won't split. I'd advise using either an impact driver or use your drill with a posi drive bit to drive the screws in. Doing it by hand will be extremely difficult. Best of luck with it 👍

That's a smashing cap mate! Betterware "Sticky Stuff Remover"....best stuff I've used for getting sticker residue off anywhere!
Bit of white spirits did the job in the end. I didn't know betterware was still a thing?! I hope your not trying to recruit me to a pyramid scheme!
Great tutorial
Fantastic work mate!

Thanks for the feedback 👍
Nice cap Mun
Thanks!
Did anyone have to treat the wood or is it all holding up ok over the years?
Still holding up as it's treated from manufacture, but it doesn't harm to add a preservative for longevity. I may do mine soon after 4 years!
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE treat it as often as you see fit, as these are not water tight!
Pouse what trade are you by background? You're an excellent educator
No trade, just many years of DIY! Thanks for the feedback 👍
Hi did you have to dig posts into the ground and secure with concrete or anything
I didn't because the weight of the slide section keeps it all firm to the ground. If it was just the swings and no slide then I prob would have set posts using the anchors provided.
Im considering buying this from Smyths, is it well built and good quality? Thanks
Yes really solid. Still going strong after almost 4 years of use. Sorry for late reply!

Drilling new holes is fine. What did you do in the end? Apologies for the late reply!
