I downloaded the instructions but they were confusing at best but your video made the process fairly painless. I bought a 3 inch 1/2 inch socket that made the longer bolts a breeze.

I’m about to try to put it together while my kids are gone so they’ll come home to this surprise :) I’ll be trying it by myself so I’m nervous about that. I think I’ll be alright though. I have wood and stones I can use to help prop things up for me when needed. Wish me luck lol.

We disassembled during a move so lost the original labeling. What is the difference between the CPD, CPC, CPE, and CPF tubes? Is there a way to identify each?
CPF and CPC are the red tubes with CPF being the thicker bar (1 1/4” x 33 7/8”). This is the one for standing. CPE and CPD are the blue tubes with CPE being the thicker bar (1 1/4” x 38.128”)

It would be helpful if you'd let people know at the beginning of the instruction manual and your video that a 1/2" deep socket (with or without an electric drill & adapter) is necessary to tighten many of the 42 sunken Nylock nuts that come with the dome.

@@bethsarpong8980 Welcome. Glad to help. I looked at their reply. They do show a picture of a deep socket at 1.13, but they don't specify in the oral presentation that you'll need a deep socket to assemble the dome, not a regular socket.
@@barisay7244 1/2” is the size of the nuts and heads of the bolts that hold the dome together. My regular 1/2” socket is about 1 inch in height. My deep 1/2” socket is almost 2 inches in height. The problem with the regular socket is that when you tighten a nut onto a bolt, the bolt will bottom out on the socket and prevent you from completely tightening the nut. If you go to a hardware or auto parts store, I’m sure you’ll find both regular and deep sockets and can see the difference between the two, or just Google “deep socket” for pictures and a better explanation of what they are. BTW, you don’t need both a regular and a deep 1/2” socket. A deep socket works for all the nuts and is the only socket you need for the nuts. I used a socket wrench with a regular socket on the heads of the numerous bolts.
The size is a 5/16" x 1.50". Please keep in mind that our hardware is made in house and the ones sold in the hardware store may not work for the system. I understand it can be time hassling to wait for one single part, but I recommend contacting our customer service department to get the correct parts needed. That's why i was asking for proper torque specifications. How many ft.lbs would be not too tight but also not too loose.... That might be a question for the engineers who designed it. Thanx
For this assembly, you will need a 3/16" allen key, and a 1/2" wrench. To make it easier, we use an impact driver, a 1/2" socket, and a socket adapter.
This video is absolute garbage instruction, wait until the end of the step to tell you to switch from short to long bolts, bought this thing used and tried to go step by step with the video and had to take out bolts a few times, not hard to say what bolts to grab at the beginning of the step
On the right side of the video it shows all the hardware needed for each step that you can refer to. This can also be found on the top of the instruction manual as well. If you're not certain if the hardware is correct you can match it up to the top of that page and the image on the manual will be the same size as the actual hardware.

Fyi it doesn't matter which order the poles go into the initial screws, and you definitely need a helper with some steps, like standing upright
How will this hold up in Canadian winters -30C? IE Rust on bars or handholds cracking in extreme cold temperatures?

Is it ok to put it on artificial grass? Would that damage the grass over time?

What drill attachment are you using? The socket drill attachments I have aren't deep enough.

You want them tight enough for everything to stay in place. Make sure not to over tighten because you can strip out the plastic or the bolt.
