21 foot short tank screams a river tank. Lots of rounded rocks, sand and gravel. Cryptocoryne species which grow in fast flowing rivers. Lots of flow. And fill it with riverine species: hillstream loaches, gobies, garra, mountain minnows, and danios. That would look fantastic!
The 21-foot tank sounds freaking awesome!!!! I love the idea of all the different schools of fish. It's kinda like what u did with the 2,000 tank a while back. I loved it, and I know we will love this new tank you're gonna build!!!!!
I love how you express your thought process, challenges and the authenticity from you to share all your aquarium tanks! I have been following your channel for years and you have consistently transforming and evolving your fish keeping and aquascaping! Amazing 👏👏
I must say that my all time favorite KDYI aquarium, hands down... has to be the 2000 community tank with all of those smaller fish.. I do love the larger fish size.. but seeing them in large numbers schooling and shoaling together was my very favorite aquarium! I have high hopes for that new fish kingdom!
I love seeing your notifications first thing in the morning. Thanks man for everything you do. You have kept me out of a dark place for a long time now! Never stop doing what you do Joey, much love from Sweden
A really long, shallow tank filled with corydoras is literally my dream tank! I've been talking about doing a 10 to 12 foot one for years just have not been able to afford the materials. Never even once crossed my mind to do it as a plywood tank!
I love the idea of a massive community tank! With that length you could build a really cool stream tank! With heavy water flow, long grass plants and lots of rocks. I'd love to see more Rainbow Shiners in the fish hobby. They are gorgeous fish! They are so underrated and Iove to see them more readily available within the hobby, especially in Canada. I managed to get a hold of 6 but haven't had success in getting them to breed yet. I probably need more of them. Borneo & Hillstream Loaches are cool too. You could even venture into Bamboo Shrimp & Vampire Shrimp with a high flow tank. They are filter feeding shrimp with fans. Vampire shrimp are fairly large.
what an absolute genius idea. incredible opportunity for us viewers to see even more how nature was meant to be with the complete community mix in a massive tank. love it joey!
I think your slowly doing what you really want and have tanks you really want, you are changing things but you seem to be leaving item in place as well, anyway I love you vids and love seeing all the different fish.
Great ideas- mr eel needs to be in a bucket to be moved. I believe it would be less stressful. Not being able to breath is stressful to me. Maybe not breathing won't bother him, but to be safe, I would bucket him. I enjoying seeing your gorgeous fish and tanks. Spectacular, thank you
I can't imagine having a 21' aquarium. That will look awesome. I have been wondering what happened to the Panda Uaru. Good to see them. On moving the eel - carefully. OK, Considering what it is, I would net and run to the new tank with it.
This huge tank your going to build Joey is an epic build for sure, fish to put in it, as you suggested how about the Altum Angels, wild Discus with a ton of cardinal tetras in a Amazon style setup, that would be awesome to see and for you to keep. 👏
Hey, i love your videos and a big fan. ❤ I feel sorry that you are loosing views. Please realise where you are missing on. We would like to see 1. Consistency in video upload days.. 2. Regular updates on EVERY tank.. including the Coral tank/ Clown fish tank etc. 3. We want to see how tank evolves with time.. and not just frequent new tank setups. Thanks for inspiring. Great work! 🌟✌🏻😊
I believe you are what they used to call a "mad genius." Huge amounts of creative energy. You certainly are a "personality." Glad you keep going like the Every Ready Rabbit. Do you remember Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter? You are a undiscovered mega star. Love you.
Excited about the 21 foot tank. Would love if you shared contact more frequently I’m always on the edge of my seat, but I totally understand where you’re at.
Can’t wait for the 21 footer. Please put some Whiptail’s in it with your suggested community fish. I think your place can be called a fish aquarist now 😂😂👍
It'd be really cool if in your 21ft. tank, you got a lot of different species of the same "type" of fish, to see how differently they act compared to each other. For example, you could have like 4 different species of corydoras, a bunch of different variations of tetras (embers, neons, rummynose, etc.) and really get an idea for the differences in their behaviors in a large environment. Like would the rummynose and neons school together or keep to separate areas? Would pygmy corydoras try to join another species? Would they all have their own distinct areas in the tank, or would they intermingle? This has the potential to be really, really cool.
Put on rubber gloves, put them in the house. You'll be much safer and then put a lid on the tote. Once you get a minute you could put Amanda tank in your baseman. Don't be safe for you. No shock involved ok, Joey.
A 21 foot long shell dweller/tangayikan tank sounds amazing. Imagine like 500 shell dwellers just working away while some other cichlids above just cruise by for all 21ft.
Joey Joey Joey your comfort of building has made me challenge you; but you're the king so just a suggestion. I know you've thought of this too but you should do do it. It very permanent though but imagine this. All walls ( well maybe 3) just one tank. Build it in place. One giant irreversible system. One water change. Many fish interacting with each other all different sizes. Train to feed on one spot. If you ask me since your the king you can do it. -The little devil on your shoulder chanting DO IT DO IT DO IT
I think a closed container is more suitable than a net - as the eel may slither his way out and if a metal net - u may get an electric shot. You wont need a lot of water in the container. And, dont worry bout not keeping up with the videos. You will get there.
I immediately saw the scene of thousands of schooling fish swerving like the wind in the sea (usually running from a whale). Great to reproduce that effect in a tank.😁
Use a black trash bag to move the eel, fill partial with water (not too much where its too heavy) and then guide the eel into the bag and carry to new tank
The Tennessee Aquarium did a video called Rubber Gloves Recommended: The Art of Moving an Electric Eel but the tl;dr is rubber gloves and two nets for support and go fast.
I reaaaaally hope you keep this idea going. My favourite tank in the world is a huge planted tank with tons going on in it. Like ultimo activity, an entire landscape. That's my end game... im so excited fo rit
Some geophagus, or setanoperca daemon would be awesome in a super long tank also, the earth eating cichlids with a 42 square feet of substrate area would be amazing. Wink wink nudge nudge
JOEY! the breeding pair of koi wouldn’t work out long for the long term! it will greatly shorten their lifespan and eventually lead to stress and diseases. Bettas have been domesticated for hundreds of years. And even some sororities don’t work out. I THINK you should get into wild type bettas because you can have males and females together sometimes just gotta do it right!
I have a pair of Betta Hendras. They are in a 4g tank ATM and I love watching the things they do. I got home at 3am about 6 weeks after I got them and they were breeding for the first time, I haven't noticed any fry and I'm just happy to have Male and Female Bettas in the same tank. I keep them with a lonely old Neon from a setup roughly 6 years ago and 15 cherry shrimp. They colors aren't as spectacular as the common Bettas, mine are more brown with a blue hue.
With the Eel, would it be better to bag it like when it arrived? I think netting would be too stressful. Or would you do some Clove Oil in a tote and calm it little? And it also has to be light enough to carry and big enough for the Eel😮. I'm interested in how you solve this
Joey why not have the 21ft tank be a native river scape tank and show off the native fish to your area and eco system? or perhaps do a like a community tank link when you had the frontasa and shell dwellers mixed but jacked up on steroids and have different sections of the tank bare, planted, hard scape and a mix of the the 3. but love your videos and ive been watching your content for years now
Joey any advice. I setup a 40 breeder started the tank for 2 weeks. Used tetras as tester fish. They thrived. Added little severums and festivums but had a mass ich outbreak. Got everything except one festivum has parished. Checked everything and it is good please help.
Joey Joey Joey! I would like to challenge you to grow and bread Rainbow trout and or California Golden Trout! The challenge is cold water …48 degree water with mountain trout color up real good also with California golden Trout. The challenge is also the filtration. You like challenging projects? Go for it!
Incredible idea to have a massive community tank. Will be lovely to see fish in large schools and more natural behaviours that come from it :)

I have been following your channel for years and you have consistently transforming and evolving your fish keeping and aquascaping! Amazing 👏👏
I love how Joey is experimenting with different setups and community fish.
Listen to advices but make your own mistakes.
Joey. Do a river setup in the 21ft with rainbow/brook/brown trout. Make an artificial current from one end to the other. That’ll be a challenge
I’m incredibly excited to see that 21ft tank. My favorite version of the 2000gal was when it was a big community tank.
I love the idea of that big tank with small fish, so much room for the fish, amazing idea Joey 👍.
Love your energy and enthusiasm. Looking forward to see all the changes 🙂🐠
I love the idea of a massive community tank!

I freaking love a good, high flow, hillstream tank!
what an absolute genius idea. incredible opportunity for us viewers to see even more how nature was meant to be with the complete community mix in a massive tank. love it joey!
Been a few years since iv watched your videos, glad to see your still going strong 👍
Love the videos whenever and as often or not often as they come. Thanks for showing this all and you always have wild things in the works!
Yo I’m loving all of this. So much big plans that I know you’ll get done fast. This is my favourite version of the 2000g and now a 21’ community 🔥🔥🔥
Agree the longer i go in this hobby for some reason the idea of creating a world for smaller fish is appealing. 21ft.. Can't wait to see that bad boy!
Yes!!!!! Love the idea of the 21 foot tanks with plants, angels, Corys and tetras.
I think your slowly doing what you really want and have tanks you really want, you are changing things but you seem to be leaving item in place as well, anyway I love you vids and love seeing all the different fish.

On moving the eel - carefully. OK, Considering what it is, I would net and run to the new tank with it.
I have followed you for many years and I have to say, I just feel like there’s too many projects going on at once so it’s all suffered as a whole
This huge tank your going to build Joey is an epic build for sure, fish to put in it, as you suggested how about the Altum Angels, wild Discus with a ton of cardinal tetras in a Amazon style setup, that would be awesome to see and for you to keep. 👏
21ft. You could have multi habitat. Plants, wood ,rocks . Different fish that like different habitats. 🤔👍😁🙏🙏

well said. it's dizzying to watch everything change so fast. it would be more satisfying to see tanks evolve.
I believe you are what they used to call a "mad genius." Huge amounts of creative energy. You certainly are a "personality." Glad you keep going like the Every Ready Rabbit. Do you remember Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter? You are a undiscovered mega star. Love you.
Super exciting to see what can end up being the Ultimate Community Fish Tank at 21ft. Can't wait to see it. Best of luck with the build.
Excited about the 21 foot tank. Would love if you shared contact more frequently I’m always on the edge of my seat, but I totally understand where you’re at.
Lots of plans, lots of excitements, lots of great videos coming. Make it happen Joey Love from Ontario
Love the idea of the cherry shrimp in the 700. Will be incredible if they get established in there, and I think they will.
Bro is living the dream

This is an awesome idea Joey!! I've been doing the same lately and I really like the aesthetic.
A planted tank that big would be so cool, especially with the angels. Maybe some discus, but whatever it is would be a very cool tank
Put on rubber gloves, put them in the house. You'll be much safer and then put a lid on the tote. Once you get a minute you could put Amanda tank in your baseman. Don't be safe for you. No shock involved ok, Joey.
Joey on his bored and found inspiration from traveling arc again. I’m here for it😂.
What happened to the other building in the back yard plan?
A 21 foot long shell dweller/tangayikan tank sounds amazing. Imagine like 500 shell dwellers just working away while some other cichlids above just cruise by for all 21ft.
You dont need luck. Youre the man. You got this, hands down.
Joey Joey Joey your comfort of building has made me challenge you; but you're the king so just a suggestion. I know you've thought of this too but you should do do it. I'm excited to see this new build!
Mais um grande vídeo!
Another great video!
Joey changes Ideas more than water 😂😂😂
Make a River style aquarium with the 21 foot one!! With some high current sections and dead zones to watch how the fish behave!
Altum angels, wild discus, geophagus, tetras, L series plecos there's so much you can do with a 21ft long joey.
I would definitely say a tote is the safest way. The temperature change going outside could be intense.
Good luck with the big tank build Joey sounds epic mate❤️🇦🇺🙏🍻
Was the club auction in Nova Scotia? I’m from bridgewater and haven’t been able to find any aquarium events in NS
Blakes exotics used black plastic bags to move his monster fish, I feel like you could do the same with the Eel.
Can't wait to see this big community tank, think its going to be fantastic.
I would love to see planted tank with a bunch of raimbowfish on that 21'
Really sad that the video uploads have really become so few and far between. Still really love them when they drop 😊
Heard that joey during your frontosa speech. Lol you know what I mean. Haha
Not the cheese slices! 😂 Love all the updates
I haven't watch a video in months... and I can't recognise anything haha. Joey change all his rooms every 3 days I swear ^^
Predict you will have the 20 foot tank for about 20 days then decide to revamp the gallery again
i think having Tyrese in the 70 that will be infront of the Eel would probably look pretty cool!
Man I've missed your videos
Can’t wait to see it all done 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Man, you really need to do a huge group of Geophagus, Geos never get enough air time, they will also kee your sand nice and clean.
The Betta's are absolutely beautiful 😍.
It would be cool to have a small schooling fish in a long tank like that.
JOEY! the breeding pair of koi wouldn’t work out long for the long term! it will greatly shorten their lifespan and eventually lead to stress and diseases. love tank with all of the floating plants

GOD BLESS YOU JOE.....KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK....CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL YOUR IDEAS COME TO FRUITION

Those blue salt water fish are stunning
curious, what happened to the discus? love the rest. :)
Wow. Concrete blocks! she's a lucky woman
You change your mind so much
I hear a natural stream/river tank coming up
Can you do 2 21 foot tanks on that wall? One being all nano, CPDs, Scarlett rasboras, etc..
Can’t wait to see the Frontosa tank. Give them a dim blue light 😍
Good luck joey
Slowing rapid river tank. All hard scape with algae. Gobies, stiphodon, plecos, vampire shrimp. A tank those dimensions would be perfect
Yes to the Altum angels!!!!!! The king of angelfish!
Can't wait to see that 21 footer!!😮😮
👏👏👏👏 it's gonna be cool ..
If anything the less stressful thing to do for that eel is to get a small toat to put him in and transfer him/her that way.
Joey, look for "peixe grande aquarismo". Its a brazilian dude with 3 eletric eel. He was trying reproduction
Nice to see a new video. I cant wsit for that 21 foot aquarium.
You got this Joey. You do you bro.
Joey any advice. I setup a 40 breeder started the tank for 2 weeks. Used tetras as tester fish. They thrived. Added little severums and festivums but had a mass ich outbreak. Got everything except one festivum has parished. Checked everything and it is good please help.
Definitely add Discus in that 21' tank..Goodluck.
The piranha are bloody gorgeous 👌🏻
THAT'S MTS on steroids.. Good luck Joey. can't wait to see that 21 feet tank
You've come a long way. Just do you😊
discus are beautiful
You can do it, Joey!
Joey use one of them koi socks this way he stays in water and you don't have to bare hand him or worry about a net
A 21ft long, high flow, river bed aquarium would be dope
would love to see a full clownfish harem 21ft tank with nems & calurpa
Joey Joey Joey! I would like to challenge you to grow and bread Rainbow trout and or California Golden Trout! The challenge is cold water …48 degree water with mountain trout color up real good also with California golden Trout. The challenge is also the filtration.
