I would love this too.. if he comes anywhere close to PA I'll be going.. What a talent. "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" (the movie) brought me to him.. what a wonderful soundtrack and wonderful movie, I've been singing it's praises for years. It should receive more acclaim, but sadly the typical brainwashed by Hollywood movie fan doesn't get it.

Yes, musical color, the compositions of him and one of his inspiratiors - Claude Debussy - are extraordinary colorful due to their comparable style. For me Ryuichi Sakamoto transfers this music to our time. He continued the subtil humanity and beauty of such brillant impressionistic sounds. In this piece here he espicially may be also inspired by Maurice Ravels Bolero, for me the first Techno - styled piece of music ever made. Love it all so much ❤️

For me it's autum colours. The leaves on the trees turning gold, red and brown when you're out driving and you've got the trees from the woods either side of you. It's quality. I bet everyone imagines the song a little different in their head

    Merry christmas

This is so dignified...and with what seems like an endless replay value, centers in a distinct timeless quality. Definitely what I would consider an intimate piece of mine from Ryuichi

From a young age, he was called a professor because he was well versed in all kinds of music, both ancient and modern, eastern and western.
We are fortunate to be able to listen to various types of his music. This infinitely beautiful song leaves a deep impression and a deep homage to Ravel with Bolero.
Thank you 教授 (kyouju - professor). Rest in peace.

This is absolutely AMAZING to watch and even more so to have witnessed LIVE! THEY HAVE "ALL" MASTERED THEIR CRAFT and it's almost UNBELIEVABLE that you can put a group of people together with various instruments and come up with THIS MASTERPIECE! Indeed, it moves you to tears! 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤

Orchestral music really is the non-thinking approach to adorning solo artists' work. It's a rite of passage for virtually all established rock bands
