I really admire the results of the spattering water and the fun involved in creating the effects

You are a wonderful follow-up for Bob Ross. You have his same calm, fun-loving way of teaching.

What a wonderful way to help beginning artists learn negative painting and texture techniques!

That was pure wizardry! The way the rocks suddenly popped out of the page with a few strokes of darker value. I’m definitely going to give this a try.

I love David Smith's paintings. I keep trying, but nothing comes close to his final product. But as a newbie, his style of wet painting is so fabulous to learn the nature of watercolor paint.

Some great techniques for creating texture. Painting in a loose style can be a challenge for people like myself who find it hard to let go and let the watercolor paint do it's own thing. First and foremost---you must use professional grade watercolor paper, nothing less will allow you to achieve the look and finish you're after. Thanks for showing this great tutorial here on YT!

Could you please tell us which blue colour you used in the final two washes. Thanks for the lovely tutorial.
