This was fantastic! It's really hard to find an artist that actually truly uses the water so much and I'm forever trying to let the water do most of the work. Thanks for the demo, I love it!
I like your way of presenting the way water does it's thing in the mist of a scene. Thorough and transparent with humor... I'm subscribing because that's a receipt for pleasant demos. You make it look fun and easy by showing us that it is.
This lesson learned me more than over a year watching tutorials combine! Awesome flow David ;) I suppose everyone have different thing to learn but for me it was spot on! Keep it up :)
Thank you for sharing this. I really enjoyed it. There were lots of useful tips that I hope to try. And your easy going patter and humor made it fun to watch.
Hi David...I love your techniques and teaching style. Just wish you could teach some classes up here in Canada. What a true talent you are. I've been painting with acrylics and finally decided to take the plunge into watercolors. Thank you for sharing this wonderful insightful tutorial using some of your marvelous techniques. PLEASE share more tutorials like this...there are so many out there, however you are a master of such a lovely medium and I was so excited to find this on the internet. Take care, Ursula
Hi David, thank you so much for showing how to use a sponge . I have struggled for quite some time and never got the trees the way I wanted. The first time I used one it created just what I wanted. Now I have to get the light beams figured out. Thanks again.
You make it look so easy! Just can’t replicate your technique. But really amazing. I sure it didn’t workout for you so easily when you first started, thanks for the instruction an encouragement!
This is a fantastic video, I'm really looking forward to giving this a shot tomorrow. Your teaching technique is great, it's relaxed and easy to follow!
High spirit, great passion, amazing talent for watercolors, first channel on youtube I have seen where I was smitten by this enthusiasm. Please keep them coming. To you, forever freedom to express your artistic movement.
Great work, David. I can see that you are having so much fun. I have viewed several TH-cam watercolor artists, and these techniques are a first for me. Great tips. I did SUB b because I want to go back and see what you have done in the past and will do in the future. Happy painting, and I am so glad you are producing that special tree sponge for only $50, or $100 or $300 special viewers price. Keep painting with joy.
Bravo Monsieur Smith pour cette démonstration magistrale. J'adore particulièrement la brume que vous effectuez dans vos aquarelles. Félicitations. Mireille
Thank you so much for sharing David with us Karlyn, and to David for participating. Hopefully we see more of him and his tutorials. Maybe online ones? (Please please)....

Your watercolor technique is amazing. I am new with watercolor and find myself getting frustrated that it doesn't look like those I see on the TH-cam tutorials. I found myself laughing, relaxing and just enjoying the watercolor experience with your wonderful technique. You are an amazing instructor. I would love to be able to find you on Patreon. I would subscribe in a heartbeat! marie.

This is GORGEOUS, lots of great tips here for letting the water do the work for you! I do want to say, I was a little confused by the thumbnail for this video - the painting you did is not the same as the one pictured in the thumbnail. I will check your channel to see if you have a demo for that particular one, because I really wanted to do the warm sun coming through the trees. Sometime I'd love to see how you painted the ducks coming up off the water too! Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!

David when you were spraying after having painted the midground trees were you not afraid of cauliflowering or were you trying to achieve that effect?
