    Today I'm working on using my stihl 461 chainsaw to cut up some fair sized firewood rounds. Some of it is kind of some stuff with crotches in it but I'm grateful to have it. I hope your all having a good day and thanks for watching.

    Neil Koch made a really sweet splitter attachment for his backhoe. Having the machine to crack down the big rounds is really handy. I'm honestly impressed at the size wood you get there. It rivals and even trumps the stuff we get heree in the pacific northwest. Gut busters for sure

    The 461 was cutting awsom.. I noodle the bigger stuff I can split down, so that seems to help a little..

    Enjoy your videos Ben👍👋 l love working big wood for firewood too, just don’t want a lot of knots/crotches!! And my experiences with hackberry while it makes good firewood, it just can’t stand much water!! Deteriorates very easily even the exposed ends while stacked!! Take care!!

    Have to watch pulling on the saw like that. It’s hell on the av mounts and bar studs

      I carry around a couple small Oregon wedges
      The tiny yellow ones for like 6$ at hardware store
      They fit in my pocket
      As soon as the bar is down a few inches I slap one in there

    Hey Ben great video!! That saw would really rip with a muffler mod and the other set of bucking spikes on the chain cover

      I wish I was a farmer. I work at a soy bean process plant. Hackberry is a type of hardwood tree around where I live. Not the best but not bad
