Hearings Dr.Peterson speak makes my eyes water. A gift to mankind that I think we won't truly appreciate until it's too late.

My father was a big fan of Peterson’s. He’d say he lives and breathes Jordan Peterson.
I lost him on a Monday the 13th of November. I can almost hear him saying this.

I never thought of myself as being "the strongest". I was jus tbeing a son. Dad had Alzheimer's. He didn't even know the names of his own children anymore. He couldn't feed himself. He couldn't keep from wetting the bed. He couldn't even wipe his own butt. So I did it for him. 10 of my siblings, for the most part, let me do it alone. My sister Eileen would give me a break one day a week. But other than that I was pretty much alone. After Dad died Mom went through the same thing. Seven sisters (except for Eileen) let me wipe my mom's butt too. I guess they had shopping of something else more important to do. By the time Mom died I didn't even go to her funeral. I was so sick of all of them by that time. Funerals aren't for the dead anyway. Funerals are so the living can cry and say how much they miss the mother they never had time to visit when she was alive.

No. You are strong. Your parents were very lucky to have you. Any parent would be proud to have a son like you ❤

Why is he telling us to be the strongest person at your father’s funeral when his father is still alive? He doesn’t even know what it feels like to lose your father. Run your mouth when you actually lose your father.

My little sister died, leaving my parents devastated. She was my little baby. I'm not a man. I'm a woman. I didn't cry at her funeral. I stayed strong for them, to spare them from at least the pain of seeing their eldest devastated about failing to save her baby from cancer.

I don't think he means literally your father's funeral. He means any crisis. I take it as you should strive to be a rock for the people around you during times of chaos.
