Thanks for your comment... It's not easy to talk about sensatige subjects like this with family we love, but have very different opinions on a given subject. Sometimes I'm the outcast on certain topics and feel attacked...but I'm the only one who's ever lived abroad in my family so it's normal that I have more experience with different lifestyles and sometimes better to bite my tongue and walk away for everyone to take a deep breath and move on. I've seen heated arguments between French friends during l'apéro and then they just sweap it under the rug the morning after. Lol

Ah siblings... whenever we get together, we fall back into our roles and the typical arguments. :-D FYI: There is a Costco in France! Just outside Paris. I'm not sure how it compares, but I always take French friends to the Costco here and they are always amazed. I took them to a Bass Outdoor Shop... They were amazed all all the people buying guns.
I love a good Mexican feast with local products! I just heard about this one Costco thanks to the comments on this video! I'll have to check it out sometime, but I don't have any parisian friends with a car, so not sure how practical it would be when we don't have enough arms to carry all the groceries home 😅😂. Bass pro shop?? I love that store!
@@JordanPatrick I think that would be the hardest part of moving to France from California: the lack of good Mexican Food! I was shopping with friends in Paris and I saw a "Mexican Food" sign. I walked over and it was ALL Old El Paso. "No...!" :-D

We can't all get along or have the same views about life, but listening and agreeing to disagree is a much better human quality that I try to achieve in these situations. ^^

Just embrace the different lifestyles. Et quand la vie de ton pays d'origine te manque trop, rentre et précipite toi au supermarché lol.

Thanks for the comment! It was a very surreal experience visiting my parents this time around, because it was the first time I wasn't returning to the house I grew up in! At the same time, I was so happy to see where my parents plan to retire in the next few years and I could tell they really loved their new life and proud of their new home. Although this year has been a mess, this was by far the most special and meaningful trip I've had visiting my family since living abroad. No, family was not a part of my decision to move abroad...it was a personal reason of wanting a fresh new start. My brothers and I have lived far from home and from eachother for more than 10 years now, so we have all grown into very different adults. They have never been to Europe, so I'm not surprised they have different views on many subjects because I've personally became more culturally diverse through my experiences living abroad and would consider my perspective much more French than American. Maybe one day my brothers will visit me here, see how I live life and gain a better understanding of the culture I've grown to love.

Huge Drama Performances you got celebrities and pro athletes around those areas. And yes Weather that goes 58-60° till 10am then sun for 4-5 hrs at 68-72 then fog and back to 58-60° and yes that is year round

Yeah that is blacklake golf course... Definitely too expensive for what you get atleast that's what I remember when I lived there. I'd rather go to Monarch and play some rounds but I know that Proshop and Range anywhere lol
"Metro" could be the equivalent of Costco in France, but I think they only sell food and kitchen utensils. I can be wrong 🤔. I've never been to a metro. I know you also need a membership (Metro card) to shop there

We don't have any Costco equivalent in Europe except there is ONE Costco in the Southern suburb of Paris! Costco also intends to put other ONES only in France for instance ! For french people, it's everything in huge quantity! For example, you can buy an e-nor-mous turkey for Christmas! It's also for us the occasion to discover the American products ! The supermarket is big , and it's strange for us to pay a subscription to be able to spend our money! It's worth it as far as you have a big family to feed!
