    You know in the touristic space ther are aways some people or organization that them work is scamming visitors from the country or foreigner thats why you freinds told you to be careful but in the in reality or deep tunisia peoples are very nice and generous they give you and pay for you stuff for free we speak about 99%

    Interesting video. I'd like to share my experience... I'm French but moved to London in 1998, loved it even though rents were even more expensive than Paris. A studio right now would be at least €1200-1500 a month, and it was always expensive my whole time there, so I always had to share houses or flats, mostly it was amazing with the right people, sometimes it was dreadful with less than nice people - luckily my bad experiences were only for 2 years, I lived with some of the most genuinely friendly people most of the time and we had the best time. In 2022, I had the opportunity to leave London to move to the seaside in East Sussex with one of my best friends ever (our flat has sea views and in 30 seconds I can be on the beach - I just have to cross the road!). As you have experienced, rents are much cheaper here, a studio for €700 in London is simply impossible, you get 1 room in a shared house or flat for that. Here we pay €450 each for a 2-bedroom lovely flat. But yes, there is less to do. But apart from the winter months which can be boring, I much prefer living here than London, which is becoming unaffordable quickly. People are generally nicer and friendlier (I've yet to meet a rude person in shops after 2 years, which was a regular occurence in London), going out to great restaurants (great foodie scene here) works out slightly cheaper (I expected it would be much cheaper!), but above all, I value a gentler pace of life and less stress. And if I miss London, I can go by train in only 90 minutes! I don't regret leaving the big city one bit!

    What is the best way to get tickets to Roland Garros?

    • @JordanPatrick
      @JordanPatrick 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Creating an account on the Roland Garros Ticketing website, then knowing the dates the tickets go on sale, then logging on early on that day and waiting in the virtual queue until your turn and getting your tickets early is the best way. Otherwise you can regularly check if anyone has put their tickets for resell (which will always be the same price they bought it for regulated by European government, which is great!)

    Thanks for sharing your experience. I actually faced exactly the same issues in Paris ( clealiness, scammers, safety issue and I was robbed) in Turkey worst experience, nice food and beautiful country but rude people, Prague wonderful country but lots of thieves... I think these issues you mentioned are very common in any touristic country. If we just focuss on the negative side, we would never leave our city. That's how I see it. Once again, thanks for sharing your experience.

    Bringing strangers to you flat is a no no anywhere in the world including France and USA. I leave in Boston and I’m told always to be careful not to go to NY manhattan Harlem guess what never anything happened to me over the yearsssssss when visiting. As giving the wrong change it happen to me when I was waitressing n my teenager days did not don’t on purpose just miscounted. There is just typically type of people that are paranoid and live their lives ton mistrusting others and usually bad things happen to them. At last always keep your cash in your socks and under your pillow when you sleep. And no one will dare. 😂

    Any thoughts on gay dating in France? We don’t always play by the same rules as straight dating, but I can’t seem to wrap my head around how French queer men navigate dating. Especially outside of Paris, where I live. It was already complicated in Paris, but seems that much more difficult now that I live in the country.

    The bad things you said are normal to me as a Tunisian citizen, you just need to adapt to it and have a good time. And when they don't give you the full change in shops it's not only for tourists it happenned to me a lot of times you just need to verify before leaving the store.

    It’s interesting as a native of New York City to hear how similar Parisians are in some ways. People are busy and don’t necessarily have time to stop and chat. That said, I’m lots older than you and think from what you’ve described, I’m leaning towards living outside of Paris. I love the excitement of living in a big city but am happy to chill most of the time. I’ve subscribed so I can hear more about your experiences! Great video!

Thx for coming to tunisia and any one about to come u welcome tunisia it’s ur country and we are proud to show u our pride to show u tunisia 🇹🇳 ❤

    We, french, have a formal politness. It des not mean that we are cold but it means we are respectfull with others, as french as foreigners, so with you ! It is very important to learn few words of french . Il means that you respect us and this politeness code and then things are easy ! But please don't hug, it is as bizarre as "le bise" (kisses on cheeks) for you ! 😂 And don't worry you are wellcome in France (especially in Paris 😊) and we have made improvement in our level in english ! So , see you soon and enjoy your trip !

    hey just watched ur video and wanted to say really loved it pretty spot on review as for the security concern as a tunisian i can tell you that the thugs , stealings , delinquants even being jumped ( much less for tourists than locals ) is just a phenomenon that's related to the life in the capital with it being the biggest metropolitant area in the country with a lot more people that didn't have the best upbringing and environment but its WAYYYYYYY less present in other great tourist spots to visit with complete safety and security along the sahel region in the east coast of the country like sousse - hammamet - monastir (where there's a lot of french residents that migrated here ) i guess u can kinda think about it like capital city security issues that's even present in the west like Stabbings in London and all the shit u see in New york for example xD

    9:11 No, it is not. It's *a joke* compared to engineering. It's *just one little book to learn.* And it's *not stressful at all* because the only thing you risk is failing and losing money trying again later. It's not like real driving where you risk killing people if you make mistakes.

    • @JordanPatrick
      @JordanPatrick หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your input, but when you've driven with a license for 10 years in your home country and have to learn a whole new set of driving rules (which is way more complicated than your home country) in a foreign language (French), it's not easy. I'm not comparing it to "engineering" or "rocket science" or anything else that has nothing to do with learning the rules of the road in a foreign country with roads that are hundreds of years old. It might be easy for others who grew up in Europe, but it doesn't take away from the difficulty I had to pass 'le code de la route" en français. If you did it in French and you're not a native speaker, congrats!

  • @ralphmalph8316

    Thanks for the video. One recurring issue throughout your video (which makes it hard to follow) is that you pronounce "province" as "Provence." Provence is la province, but not all province is in Provence, least of all Limoges. Secondly, Limoges is not really the countryside, but a smaller "provincial" town. Nonetheless, you make some good points. Did you ever stop to think that one reason the provinciaux may not have too quick to adopt you is on account of you having "Fluctuat nec mergitur" tatooed on your arm? Pretty well everyone in France knows that that is Paris' motto, and that would potentially brand you as a Parigot. Parisians are not always well-liked by the more narrow-minded provinciaux.

    Four years later, survivors of Nazi barbarism committed a horror as macabre as this one. A few thousand kilometers from here in Deir Yassin. Not only is this massacre is not known but even its remains were razed by bulldozers to build another village and settle a population coming from far away. Thus the village of Deir Yassin does no longer exists, the new village is called Givat Shaul. Another detail, none of the killers went to prison.

    I hope you found love while you were there. I’m not sure where you got this low view point of French women but I hope you found a girl that changed your perspective. Something I couldn’t help but giggle at was your comment “I want someone I can travel the world with but I don’t have to explain what everything is”. It was silly to me because from what I understand, the French are very big on culture and they generally are more educated by their school system (in general) than in the US. Most of them speak English, as it is also the universal language and is typically how they communicate with neighboring countries when they don’t speak their language. There are a lot of polylingual people in France for that reason. Even those who won’t speak English will have a solid foundation of the English Language because they’re forced to learn it in school but are too embarrassed to speak it. I know it’s hard to meet people there and I’m sure you’re a great guy, you just come off very … full of yourself-for lack of a better word. I hope you had fun though. How fun you got to live there!
