I'm wondering why it is read low tone and not a falling tone since yaw yak is a low consonant, combined with a long vowel and we have a stop final at the end which should result in a falling tone according to all the rules I know about so far. The word doesn't even use any tone marker:[ Is this an exception, or what could be the explanation for this? Are there any other words like this in Thai? I found another word which is written like that and has a different tone than the rules:> It's sà-mùt (สมุด). The second part, mùt มุด,, has a low consonant to which a short vowel is applied. The sound of high class consonants are the same ( rising tone ) = pãw ( rising). pûng is not the sound , pûng is the name of this consonant. pãw = sound pûng = name

Thank you very much for your awesome work, Kruu Waree. From the pedagogical point of view, I think it is sometimes confusing to repeat an already know, similar consonant before the explanation of the actual consonant to learn. (At least for me).
Thank you for your reply. But I'm asking you some tips to break down a sentence. For instance 'sara am' is always located in the end of word or syllables. And 'sara a', too I think. If we could know these kinds of tip, it would be easier for foreigner to break down a long sentence in words.
if u watch back my " Thai vowels " video, you will see that all the vowels has different position after combine with consonant. Normally we will remember by practicing more reading and writing Thai words. Then we will know and remember. example : -ะ , -ี , เ - า , ไ - , -ู From example of the above vowels. The dashed is the place where we put consonant. The vowels can be in front , above , behind , below , in the middle of the consonants. The only way to know is memorize and keep practicing ( read and write ) them. :)

P’Waree Can you explain those last letters on the lowest part of your chart? I often encounter this Sa-Ra that looks like a number 2 but has a circle on the top of it. Which is usually placed on the upper part of the consonant (sorry I couldn’t type it I don’t have a thai keyboard) What I am talking about is that thing on your chart located below the Ruu at the dark green area. Please help. I don’t know how to read those.
Yes, they are the four tone marks used in Thai depending on which the tones of Thai words can change as well (along with the consonant class and the vowels).

Please can you tell me when To use gaw gai for a ‘k’ sound? Because I notice a lot of words ending with k use gaw gai instead of one of the k alphabets. Khopkhun mak khrap❤️
That's because aw àang is a vowel carrier and whenever a word starts with a vowel, or has just a vowel sound somewhere in it, aw àang acts as a dummy consonant and the sound resulted is the vowel itself. Example, writing okay in Thai is like oo-kee and this starts with a vowel sound. So we would write it like โอเค As you can see, we added the aw àang at the beginning with the long vowel (oo) Hope this helps

Both have a different jaw placement. Your jaw is a bit higher in the former while it's a bit more relaxed and lower in the latter

You need to memorize and learn to spell the word. Then you will know which word end with ก🙏🙇♀️😊✌️
