The fact that Interstellar did not get Oscar for best music says that Oscar award means nothing.
"the grand budapest hotel" was the winner. sounds like a continuous pathetic march for me. good for the movie itself but no way to beat interstellar's soundtrack.
Yeah but RRR did won best song
often, works of art are not fully appreciated in their time
No, it means that you are biased af. 😅
Did you even watch Budapest Hotel?
@@RichyRich2607 interesting...it is on our cerebral watchlist
Hans Zimmer is a legend. The Mozart of our days
WTF
thanks Mike Wazowski
Not quite but I'd say more like around John Williams level.
I agree. I absolutely love many of his compositions. The main theme of Interstellar pulls at my heart strings each time I hear it. I’ve watched Hans’s concert many times and I just love it.
No. He's nowhere near Mozart.
Nolan already knew where the heart of the movie was when he wrote the story for Hans. His musical piece just solidified it. Jonathan Nolan was doing this script for Spielberg for 6 years before Spielberg had to walk away because the script was attached to Paramount who at the time Dreamworks was on their lot, and then switched hands to Disney in 2012. At which time Jonathan recommended Christopher as the replacement for Spielberg.
A script doesn't necessaruly equates to the heart of a movie. You could give a script to two different directors and get two completely different movies.
@@taefer7437it makes a huge difference knowing the meaning behind something because it gives both the motivation, meaning, and feeling to the theme.
@@taefer7437I understood that reference. Justice League and ZS Justice League
.
@@taefer7437Chris wrote the movie… Your argument is nonsense
Interstellar is one of the movies that never fails to move me to tears, swear to god. And I’ve watched it over 10 times over the years.
Same. It’s an amazing movie. One of my all time favorites.
Gladiator - the scene when he died and walk the field and touches the crops and see his wife and son - just the sound, only 2 seconds, and I cry like a baby. Same for my wife - I played a Hans Zimmer Live video on TH-cam and just when the sound started she immediately started to cry.
I've cried during a movie before, but _Interstellar_ was the first time I've ever been moved to tears due to awe and beauty... When they first saw *Gargantua* (the black hole), THAT was what did it.
_[I unfortunately didn't see it in theaters, and yet _*_still,_*_ this was my experience when watching the Blu-ray on a 46" 1080P TV!]_
I think that part of it came down to having seen a show on the Science Channel about how that black hole visual model was a *legitimate* science endeavor, by astrophysicists (which they also wrote a paper about). So going into the movie I knew that Gargantua was scientifically very accurate, based on countless hours of simulation.
It really was beautiful... 🥲
"Nobody believed me, but i knew you'd come back.
How?
Because my dad promised me"
Love is the one thing that transcends time and space.
That kinda got me choked up actually. That’s really beautiful actually and kinda gives some great context for the movie.
I’ve watched the movie over ten times over the years. It simply never gets old.
Hans and Nolan go together like peanut butter and jelly. When my daughter was in the hospital for months on the day I would pick her up, I played the interstellar soundtrack all day. So beautiful.
I hope your daughter is fine today.
@@Meteora52. TY
The anticipation must have been exquisite, and knowing there is about to be a happy ending to a troublesome chapter.
Quite a vision, thankyou.
@@TheVanillatech You’re welcome
Interstellar is about a father fighting through everything that comes in his way be it a human, or be it a black hole but that doesnt stop the love of a father and his children.
Best Nolan Film best Zimmer score
Oppenheimer by Ludwig Goransson is right there with it
@@vaibhavk2400 still gotta see it, I’m finding the book American Prometheus before I go watch it, it’s the book the movie is based off
@@vaibhavk2400 its good but not on the same level
@@vaibhavk2400It's great but that Interstellar score is GOATed.
@@xenon9717I agree it’s not the same because Interstellar doesn’t have a single second of music that I want to skip.. but there are some just insaneeeee songs from Oppenheimer that I’ve had on repeat
Only Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer can create together art... from art.. And it works every time.
One of the modern miracles of scoring cinema. I put him right there next to Mr. Williams.
WTF
I actually prefer Hans. John is iconic, catchy and memorable. But I enjoy listening to Hans' music more, even if I can't replicate it with my mouth in the shower. That'a when I opt for mouthing Star Wars.
Fun fact : Williams is mr hans Zimmer's doorman now ...true story 😂
@@youliseas5711ohh you've been saying that on every comment. You're a spammer. I gotcha.
@@theblasteffect4499 no, only two times. The other one was saying Zimmer is the Mozart of our days 🤣
His impact on film can never be overstated. His music is the soul of all the films he is part of. Truly legendary.
The definition of Art.
It's the little, personal, fragile fragments that get turned into something Epic.
Hanz Zimmer! Im honored to live in a time of your music!
Real
The most beautiful song I've ever heard tbh. If you close your eyes and listen quietly the music brings up so much emotions and healing for myself.
The movie is about love, particularly a fathers love, and how it transcends space and time.
Interstellar is the only Nolan movie I’ve only watched once. It made me so sad & afraid of being an absent father. I couldn’t bare to look at those feelings again. Hearing this clip boosts my admiration & respect for the Nolans and Zimmer to new heights.
You always start from the core and build the story out from there. Just superb writing and direction 👏🏽✊🏽
There is very few things I wish I could do for the first time again more than watching this film. It changed my whole view of the world and made me appreciate our lives as they are.
Life is a precious miracle and we all should appreciate every second of it. Take care of every person you love in your life, you don't know when will be the last time you'll see them, enjoy it.
I've not seen it yet. I do understand it's very emotional. Which is what scares me.😶
Wow...this man has impacted all of us with his wonderful music! Thank you Hans Zimmer.
Nolan + Zimmer = epic combo 🔥🔥
everything that ever led to the movie was all because of love
It's always awesome to hear this story again
So amazing 😂 these guys are just marvelous - both of them
The best of Academy Award Winners Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan.
I love his appreciation for Lisa Gerrard’s transcendent vocal talent.
Two absolute legends. ✨💖✨
This man is hands down the greatest Movie Composer of all time. His themes from Gladiator, The Pirates films, The Lion King and The Batman films are legendary.
A truly gifted man. We are lucky to have him in our time. He is my favorite composer.
This here is the definition of Pros at work.
Imagine how/why we ended up having that Epic movie and that Beyond Epic music on it.. Great minds at work..
And thats how they Hans and Nolan gave us that masterpiece theme and a masterpiece Film🎶📽❤
This THE BEST INSPIRATION for people in the moving picture art… cover film , gaming, cgi.. everything… thank you Hans
My favorite soundtrack of all time, thank you Hans.
That's a beautiful story about a beautiful story.
genius that nolan guy
I like how "what it means to be a father" - probably the story about Cooper, Murph & Tom - was enough to inspire him to come up with this epic piece of music. And i love how this theme is indeed the heart of the movie. It's not all about space, it's about a father making these hard and important decisions/choices for the future of his kids.
Who would have thought a movie about space, time and intricacies of quantam physics and futuristic mechanics would make 3 generations of people weep and cry in movie halls, moved to tears amd experiencing the best of music and cinema. Waiting for it to re-release in the theatres, so that the new generation can live this movie and carry it with them forever in their hearts...
The way I could hear the notes in my head immediately when he started talking about it
What a wonderful creative process
This guy is a genius
This reminds me of the movie Inception. One of the dialogue was something like “In order for an idea to grow, it must be as simple as it can be.”
Interstellar’s main message was about a father’s duty/promise to his daughter. That was it.
But the premise & backdrop was in space and through time.
Damn.
it’s so beautiful. the gathering of such great minds, working together, becomes a breeding ground for so many great stories and memories. you could make a movie about nolan and his work with people like hans zimmer.
Two of my most favorite people.
This turned out to be one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made! I thank the people like Hans and Chris who pour their heart into art for us. It’s greatly appreciated!
everything about this film is special, there are few like it
Literal geniuses. Amazing to watch
It takes one to know one. Both freaking geniuses!
You telling me this wasnt meant to be a soundtrack for a space sci fi movie? It fits perfectly
Brilliant channel with brilliant clips!
Interstellar is such a good movie
That music ufff❤
It’s truly one of my favorite pieces of music. Of course he’s British where all GREAT music comes from imo
This is why Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer are two of my favorite creators
Truly a great film and sound creator
When I left the movie theater after watching that on the big screen I was blown away. I remeber thinking what did I just watch. A very rare movie experience.
The Heart of INTERSTELLAR is Love.
That was just magical. 💜
Holy shit, so the meme about Hans Zimmer making a song and then Nolan making a movie around it just became so much better.
Zimmer is an absolute genius!
I love hans zimmer's work.😂
This makes me immeasurably happy, what a powerful idea
Should have won the Oscar for this really, not “The grand Budapest Hotel”
I have listened to that score a few thousand times.
I finally understand my tears… I’ve always wanted to be a father, but never had one myself.
Just imagine what he would've made if he knew about the movie!
The score really is such an integral part of the movie (I mean it always is but especially in Interstellar)
El hecho de conocer quien hizo la musica solo con escucharla, dice que el es un genio musical ❤❤
hans zimmer is a legend
This parallels so beautifully how he wrote the score for the Lion King. For that score he wrote it as a son thinking of his father and interstellar was written as a father thinking of his child.
Genius
all of that. genius.
Awesome 🤘🏻 💯
The best theme ever made
Amazing
“Come on, Tars.”
“Come on, Tars.”
Learn something, leave something behind. - Matthew McConaughey.
Interstellar is and will always be one of my favorites. I want a “Tars”
Plenty of slaves for my robot colony!
Nolan, Zimmer. GOATS
Nolan is a genius. My favourite soundtrack.
Legend.
yeah he was right, I only started to cry when the father found 5D space of his daughter’s room
That's why Nolan is the greatest film maker in human history
Maestro.
legend
The legend
That’s talent
The Academy committed a Crime by not giving Hans Zimmer the Oscar for Interstellar 😩
Genius!
Looks like hans is on that snow
I like Ludwig's works. He is very very good. Quite extraordinary. But Chris and Hans is Godly. I want that duo back.
I was on World of Ha s Zimmer two day ago in Birmingham..... t
He is genius.....
For Dunkirk, Nolan didn't gave him a page, he gave him ONE word: desperation.
and ge gave him his watch
Well the movie is about a father trying his best save his kids
this dude did the mgs soundtrack legend
Rip to the goat
Exactly why music controls us 🥰❤️💯
Yep… Instead of writing the soundtrack based on the movie, this guy has directors write movies for the soundtrack… 👏
Someone explain why he did not get the Oscar for that .
Vision is an extraordinary skill, few posses, and fewer manifest
Hans Zimmer is not Human.
I have the Gladiator soundtrack, and Interstellar is brilliant. Loved Interstellar, but I have a strong daughter drive.
Movies are made, then directors ask composers to make the music for it. But Hans Zimmer makes music, then a movie was created for it.
Eres grande
Hard to imagine this outside of a space context
