  • I cooked three racks of babyback ribs from The Upper Cut today using the 2-1-1 method (2 hours in the smoke, 1 hour wrapped in foil and 1 hour unwrapped back in the smoke).

I saw your video and just wanted to know the temperature you cooked at? I’ve cooked ribs at 275 using a 2-2-.5 with very good results. Thanks Steven B.

It's been awhile since this cook but I usually shoot for between 250 and 275 depending on how the smoker is running; this cook was likely around 250. Next time I do ribs I'll give the 2-2-.5 at 275 method a try. Thanks for the suggestion!

@@WildWestBBQ thanks for responding. Depending how tender you like your meat the 2 hour wrapped time you can add or subtract to it. Make sure you check the cooking temperature. I have a Camp Chef pellet grill and it’s about 25 degrees higher than the set point. Let me know how your next cook turns out. Thanks.

@@WildWestBBQ Thanks for replying. Depending how render you like the meat the 2 hour wrapped time can be changed to less or more time. Also my Camp Chef is 25 degrees lower than the actual oven temperature. This is important. Thanks.
