      @Quietshow Thanks :) Yee indeed lots has changed on the platform since I originally released those - so thinking I might release this type of compilation once every few months with some kinda serialized segments over the next few months due to YT just resurfacing things that are compiled, etc. Mostly it'll be new stuff, but I wanted to try it out at first with something from the past.
      Plus I re-watched the whole old Gerald Williams series and there were a lot of boring bits I decided to take out, which were muddying up the whole thing. This one's mostly just the philosophical parts haha. Thanks for saying that, tho - means a lot!

My dad came by, sat in his lazy boy chair, watched this on my laptop and eventually ended up falling asleep and waking up a while later and telling me you have a soothing voice.

      @maximusthedude8305 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Yeah, I agree. I would desperately love for him to do more long play throughs. I like AA, but I ironically only thought of the short stuff he makes now as side content. I was actually quite disappointed to realise that's what he planned to make exclusively from now on. Kenshi, Zomboid, Rimworld, all of those less condensed playthroughs are spectacular. His narration style has so much more room to breathe, and you feel more like you were there for the journey than simply being told about it afterwards, which is how I feel about the new ones. I like his new stuff, but it's not rewatchable. It's not something I can binge through at night or relax to after a long day. It feels needlessly constrained to fit the shorter format, and a lot has been sacrificed in my opinion.

    This is a masterwork series overflowing with the pseudo-philisophical ramblings of a man abandoned by the creature-comforts so many of us take for granted. Like all your other videos, the tale of Gerald Williams was an absolute joy to witness. Your ability to blend absurd comedy, deep introspection, and dry wit is unparalleled. It's obvious to all who enjoy your content that you work very hard to bring these videos to us. They're never expected, but always appreciated. Thank you!

    @ambiguousamphibian I'm sitting here at 648a PST taking all of this in. Simple I may be but the message, the comedy, the indifference and the fashion-forward-yet-safe-af motorcycle helmet are resonating with me. I absolutely love this. Glad I found your channel.

    This series is one of my favorite things on youtube and i keep coming back to it, i love the philosophical ramblings and the impending sense of doom that his monologues bring in this series, sprinkled with notes of calm and quiet, and even hope at times, while also being funny as hell. Such is life i guess..
    It's pretty incredible how he weaves between all these emotions seamlessly..
    I saved it on my short films list here on youtube, that's how good i think this is.
    Thank you ambiguousamphibian for giving us this masterpiece!
    If only i could find that music piece though..

    having so much of your script spread as a bountiful feast for the enjoyment of our ears at once exemplifies your strengths. this is poetry, philosophy, dare i say art. it stimulates the mind, and the mind takes whatever stimulants it can get so it isn't depressed, much like the slow reader, worm eater, crop sower that is Gerald Williams. i am grateful for your hard work making these videos, and then compiling them into one great composite video. so enjoyable, so soothing.

    I'm so happy that you keep caring enough about this series after years, this condensed edition is a surprise for my week and I will love reviewing all the moments and philosophies that Gerald Williams taught, while achieving Nirvana through worms, depression and zombie bodies.

    This video was like listening to the audio transcript of someone who's super into bushcraft, primitive living, and Greco-Roman philosophy hitting the middle suggestion on their phone's text prediction box over and over again. It was soothing in a strange, esoteric way. I'll be keeping this one aside to play into the gloom of night when rest is teasing and uncertain. Excellent.
