I’m waiting for the GX 550 to be fixed. 3.4 Engine reliability problems. Hood flutters. Oversights like not putting ceiling vents in second row of overtrail. Interior material is inferior.
Lexus is a very conservative brand, good quality, superb fit and finish, and every year significant updates. We have the last ES, it is a superb car, not modern compared to an E class or Bmw 5 series but so much better build....than the Germans.
Most people can't tell the difference between the ES and the LS on the road. Why would anyone pay almost double for the LS ? LS needs some new styling along the lines of the Mercedes CLS Class and it would sell very well.
That’s what some people want.. a car that looks like a regular sedan outside but dressed like a Maybach inside. Why? Because the rich want to hide their wealth. It’s the young people that want to show off.
An interior the size of the S-Class sedan (height + legroom) would be a good differentiator vs the ES. The S550 rear seat is a nice place for adults to ride, which is why there are so many S550 limos. The LS rear seat is a bit small for adults. Updating the exterior to be a bit more distinctive would be nice too.
Lexus wouldn't negotiate. It's like buy it for MSRP or somebody else will buy it. I asked if they would knock of $1000 and I was willing to finance. They didn't care. They didn't even bother trying to upsell me on their add-on packages
@@kevinchen2195 LM350 is exclusive for Southeast Asia, only LM350h in china now, same powertrain as Sienna. about couple hundred per month, but the car has a Toyota version which also costs more than 10k in china, that one can do 2000 per month
It's very misleading and disingenuous to say that everything Lexus is getting in is presold when they hardly get any LS, LC, RC or UX models in. They don't sell, no matter how you try to hype up the brand.
I LOVE Lexus, the only thing I didn’t expect was the 250% increase in my insurance policy. If insurance wasn’t a thing/mandatory, I’d be in a brand new NX plug in hybrid 😭
Bought me a ‘24 IS500 and it was only $200 more per year than my ‘24 Honda Accord Hybrid. But no accidents and speeding tickets in 40 years of driving helps too…..😆
It’s because of the insurance value. I owed 29k on my GS350 and when it was totaled they paid me $37,000. They have crazy resale value and are an investment
In Taiwan 2023 no1 in sales was Toyota and no2 Lexus! Lexus is really everywhere. Even we have 2 :-) I was a VW Audi user back in Europe as back in the 90s Toyota was boring. Now only (Akio) Toyota :-)
Killing of the LS is a BAD idea. It seems so simple to make it better. I would say what they should do is give it a hefty almost camry-like level of refresh, and then just ready a next generation version with an advanced level of self driving and smoothness + quietness.
Not to sound bad or anything, cause Toyota and Lexus for life here, but let’s be for real, Lexus stop being luxurious after 2021, with only very top models still showing it. Many models not showing what Lexus was all about, but still doing good cause everyone else is sucking? Lexus is still the best from Toyota, but not so good when it looks like a Toyota inside. I am good as long as it is reliable, which is what matters anyways.
I agree. Lexus has lost a step with interior quality. My wife has a 24' RX and frankly, I'm disappointed with the quality. Mercedes/ BMW are better from a quality perspective. Now engine/electronics is a different story. Lexus is king there.
Around my neighborhood, the ‘21+ IS 300 is more common of all the ones in its segment, of all the IS, I see 3 or maybe 4 ‘21+ IS350s a week, and to my knowledge besides myself, and some other guy I’ve seen occasionally, are the only ones with an IS500.
Lexus and Toyota are yesterday’s newspaper. Quality has declined. Way over rated. Way over priced. Blowing engines and transmissions. The myth will take time to go away as people do not realize what happened. Caveat Emptor.
Toyota and Lexus sedans are all very short (low interior headroom) compared to their European competitors. I would love a slightly larger and taller version of the ES that competes with the BMW 540 and Audi A6/S6.
How in the world did they dominate the luxury car market when they aren't #1? Bloodbath when you're #2 at best? How does that make sense beyond this channel? Globally? They're not even close to the Mercedes, BMW or Audi. The IS is just plain old, how many more sales do you think it's going to get? There is literally no point in buying a new one when a 10 year old one, with that great reliability, is the same car. There is no production issue with the LC or supply chain problem lol. Stop trying to come up with some bullshit excuse for lackluster sales. It's a beautiful car, well made, sounds great, but it's getting old, gets killed in performance by every single car in it's class. The UX is a joke. Why would anyone buy it? The truth of the matter is that the Lexus franchise is built on the NX and RX sales wise. Beyond, that they have quite a few duds in the lineup. The RZ is a terrible EV. I don't see how they're dominating anything beyond profits per dealer.
My 2007 Camry V6 I sold to my friend is still running at

We have the last ES, it is a superb car, not modern compared to an E class or Bmw 5 series but so much better build....than the Germans.
The NX is almost perfect for me. Give it a 12.3” and F sport design for the 350h model. 😭
Ok. I’m not alone on this one!!! Why they don’t do that?
You mean a 12.3" digital gauge cluster right?
@@CarsandTechInfo yes! The UX, RX, TX, LX and GX all get it for 2025. No idea why the NX was left out.
That's the same problem with the GX and LX. They're nearly the same size, but the LX is way more expensive.
Fully dreaming but hear me out: Lexus wagon
Isn’t the RX basically an ES wagon?
Lexus wouldn't negotiate. It's like buy it for MSRP or somebody else will buy it. I asked if they would knock of $1000 and I was willing to finance. They didn't care. They didn't even bother trying to upsell me on their add-on packages
Why would they? They have 3 customers for every car especially hybrid
Lexus is doing well in china this year, 15% increase 2:31
what are the sales figures for LM350, I've heard every Tiktok influencer owns one.
But no accidents and speeding tickets in 40 years of driving helps too…..😆
My friend got the same in his insurance. He has a bunch of DUIs. Is the only why you can get your insurance cost going so high up!
It’s because of the insurance value. I owed 29k on my GS350 and when it was totaled they paid me $37,000. They have crazy resale value and are an investment
"LS" for "Life Support" was clever lol
Are people still going to be able to get their parts for their cars like the IS 350 F?
When lexus convertible (hard or soft top)?
Kirk, when the Lexus release 350 Mike range EZ?
In Taiwan 2023 no1 in sales was Toyota and no2 Lexus! Lexus is really everywhere. Even we have 2 :-)
I was a VW Audi user back in Europe as back in the 90s Toyota was boring. Now only (Akio) Toyota :-)
Killing of the LS is a BAD idea. It seems so simple to make it better. I would say what they should do is give it a hefty almost camry-like level of refresh, and then just ready a next generation version with an advanced level of self driving and smoothness + quietness.
Lots of money being spent it seems. Lexus’ are very expensive these days.. and yet the numbers are going up.
@@jibosnjak9840 but they retain their value, unlike those German makes
@@yslee1401 Sure. They are also driven by people in their 70's, and they drive far less nice.
@@jibosnjak9840just bought a RX500H Black Line Edition. By the way, I’m 72.
Lexus that are made in Canada are sold mostly in the US.
One day, I will get a Lexus GX
the highlander going down from 169k to 89k is kinda insane. but the highlander is kind of useless in the lineup now.
Lexus should keep its old reliable V6 in place the upcoming ES redesign.
Quality sells
build some more RC and RC-F's please..
There is no 2025 MY but there is also no discontinuation announcement oddly enough
Why? They're totally irrelevant and some of the the worst selling Lexus models.
Happy New Year Kirk!
This video is too long just for the sales report of one brand.
Naveen was dreaming the death of Lexus in 2024. Now he is saying the new Nissan Murano will kill Lexus.
can i just point out that lexus is getting these numbers even without a relevant ev model?
Yeah the RX and NX make up the biggest portion of those numbers. They have quite a few duds on the car side of the house.
I Know Bro
Multiple fully electric models is a waste of money vs the return because the market isn’t there for expensive EVs to sell in volume.
TOYOTA AND LEXUS ARE THE BEST FOREVER AND EVER!!!
This Is Insane 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Luxury vehicles are dead when a pick up truck cost $80k
I heard that Toyota and Lexus might bringing the v6 and the v8
The RZ300E is a far better Bev than the 450e, deserves better press and sales.
