    Kirk, we helped in the statistics. Just traded our 2020 RX 350 for a new 2025 RX 350 non-hybrid. Couldn’t get a hybrid, like you said limited availability. Not a deal breaker. Wesley Chapel over towards Tampa gave us exactly what we wanted for our 2020 and a military discount. This is our 4th RX. Pulled all the paperwork from our 2020 and honestly there was only a $1600 price difference and we got a ton more vehicle. Quieter, rides better, better fuel economy and way more technology. Extremely happy. Side story: we were just going in for our routine maintenance and well you know what happens when the wife says, I really like this! I still have my 2018 5th gen 4Runner and doubt I will part with it for a very long time given the price increase of the new 6th gen.

    • @awepossum1059
      @awepossum1059 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It is very much a cultural thing. In the past owning a luxury sedan instead of an SUV means you don't need to go off road or haul stuff. You're a city man who just uses his car to transport his family around town. That's being wealthy. Nowadays status means pretending to be blue collar or adventurous. You have a rugged SUV or truck thats HUGE that has off road capabilities even though you'll never use them.

      The current SL is a far cry from old SL"s....the car is not rigide, poor plastic interior with cheap digital panels.

      An interior the size of the S-Class sedan (height + legroom) would be a good differentiator vs the ES. The S550 rear seat is a nice place for adults to ride, which is why there are so many S550 limos. The LS rear seat is a bit small for adults. How in the world did they dominate the luxury car market when they aren't #1? Bloodbath when you're #2 at best? How does that make sense beyond this channel? Globally? They're not even close to the Mercedes, BMW or Audi. The IS is just plain old, how many more sales do you think it's going to get? There is literally no point in buying a new one when a 10 year old one, with that great reliability, is the same car. There is no production issue with the LC or supply chain problem lol. Stop trying to come up with some bullshit excuse for lackluster sales. It's a beautiful car, well made, sounds great, but it's getting old, gets killed in performance by every single car in it's class. The UX is a joke. Why would anyone buy it? The truth of the matter is that the Lexus franchise is built on the NX and RX sales wise. Beyond, that they have quite a few duds in the lineup. The RZ is a terrible EV. I don't see how they're dominating anything beyond profits per dealer.
