    1. Reverse parking sensors can be completely disabled by simply pushing the "P" button located at the bottom of the front center console, next to the USB ports. Parking sensor sensitivity can also be adjusted in settings.
    3. Nissan has a "crawl control" that is not advertised like Toyota's. Called ABLS. When stuck, put in 4low and gently push accelerator until wheel begins to spin. ABLS will take over and attempt to get grip. The moment you stop or hit brakes though the calculations start all over again.

    I'm just starting to look at mid size trucks, this video was good info for me. I've tested a Frontier but only around the block and really liked it. I don't plan a lot of off roading but have a mountain cabin location where the winters get nasty. Seeing this video gave me an idea of how it would handle crap. I can find several Pro4x on the lots but the TRD's are kinda slim in my area. On paper, looks like a better bang for my bucks with Frontier, but still looking. Thanks for unbias video! 👍

      @@bigfootswatching9986 You know I would have thought the same thing so I did a little research and according to caredge the Frontier is actually the number one vehicle overall as of now for resale which shocked me . The Taco was number 3 Nissan held 88.6 percent value at 5 years .

      @jeanclaude7018 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@bigfootswatching9986 Anothef blindly brand loyal non-researcher, it seems.
      Many Taco fans are judging Frontier to be the better truck now, based on the comments.
      Many reviews rate Frontier higher in looks, engine power, transmission, brakes, seating position, chassis, crawl ratip, etc. That's pretty much the whole truck.
      The resale value is based on fanatics like yourself willing to pay anything to be in the "perceived best" club membership.
      Now, let's talk about familiar Taco features:
      Frames that rusted in half, V6 famous for V8 mileage with I-4 power, hunting transmission, bad seating position, crappy road handling, grabbing brakes, rear drums until this year, cheesy plastic bed...
      Sounds very appealing.
      But before you kick in with " but Toyota is the only reliable brand," view the "million mile Frontier " videos on YT. Toyota can't improve on that.
      I wish I had a thousand Toyotas. I could sell every one to fans like you and retire. Same with Harleys. Club membership has its price, and millions are willing to pay.

    Really great midsize pickup. The trucks that do the least to comply with EPA seem to have the best long term reliability. Gen 2 Tundra, Titan, Taco, and Frontier seem to run forever. Is it a coincidence none have cylinder deactivation, auto start/Stop, turbos, and are built in the USA? Just add a catch can on the GDI engines.

    People have this bad tendency to compare apples to oranges. This is a dual purpose vehicle... street comfort with above average off-road capabilities. It's not a hardcore off-roader, so you're not going to get front lockers, 12 inch entry, etc. What you do get, is a offroad capable vehicle that is much more comfortable on the streets than a true off-road vehicle. I would like to see the locker available in 4HI or 2WD from the factory. There are bypasses, or have been available in the past.

What you need is put it in 4X4 Low gear and use moderate steady throttle to control it and let the computer do its work, you'll be surprised it's as good as Toyota's ATRAC system, but if you leave it on 4X4 High the ABS brake will not be aggressive on the rear brakes.

    On a more aggressive tire pattern
    E-Locker for the front - beefed up
    Front differential, stronger more robust half shafts , stronger UV joints and CV. Joints . Dump the
    Leaf springs and use coil over shock
    On all four corners - maybe a mild

      Don't do it. Lots of electrical problems. Dealer was useless. Front end clunking noise, rough ride on roads, lifter tick in engine. 2 recalls and again dealer was useless. Traded it for a Tacoma which I went back to. My second one. Power on the Nissan was good but I don't think the transmission will last either. Good luck!

    Hankooks blow, my xterra had them on it when i got it. Those tires skidded evreywhere if it was a little wet, and trying to steer in 2 inches of mud was impossible. I put Destination X/Ts on it haven't had a traction issue since.

    • @JakeTiesler
      @JakeTiesler  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm encouraging him to do K02 tires or similar. We were obviously babying the truck since it was a short term loan vehicle and brand new!

    • @ThunderxGT
      @ThunderxGT ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JakeTiesler can't reccomend K02s, they do good at first but they're comparable to an M/T in terms of weight which cooks your brakes and they're horrible about cupping out as well which ruins the ride on the road. Imo K02s are simply too heavy for a lighter truck like a frontier and while they will perform off road, their road manners will become sloppy.

    You are a funny guy. Lockers lockin! Eat's the taco's lunch! Well it is a nice truck. I have a lunch menu item and I can tell you that they are similar. Mostly because of the taco's success. The ranger as well. You need to work on your spotting skills however. Pushing your buddy to push his brand new truck at LBL is a bit much. I live there and if you are alone
    please stay off the 300 roads if you are alone. Those were 300 roads and if you live there you know what I am talking about.

    Might go test drive a 2023 frontier pro4x and possibky trade in my 2023 Tacoma Ted off-road truck. I am a big 6'1" tall 330 lb guy. I simply do not fit good in the driver's seat. The Tacoma can is too narrow. But I do like how my Tacoma drives and it is a little mountain road on forestry trails that I have sofasr driven it on up in the northeast Tennessee unaka and holston mountain ranges.
