As my experience of dolce gusto machines i will advice you to not buying cheap models because i bought Piccolo XS i have it for one year i carefully maintain machine and descaling when is need but i have issue with this machine quality of drinks is bad and taste is not strong therefore if you plan to buy dolce gusto machine go for expensive models dont buy cheap models because soon or later creating problems and if you use Piccolo XS with other brand capsule after some time start to licking water from sides only if capsule is other brand

From what I know, Dolce Gusto Cappuccino, if made by Nescafe, has 16 capsules. Usually flavors from 3rd party brands have 12 capsules, such as Starbucks. Are you sure the ones you bought were made by Nescafe?

Well, the amount of water needs to be controlled manually on this model. It has that lever on top of the machine to choose the right amount, according to how many bars that is shown on the capsule/pod.

Hey thanks for your comment! It can only produce hot water and water of room temperature. It cannot make cold coffee. I'm not sure if you can use it without a capsule. I tried the Starbucks line up. Frankly, I don't really like it because it doesn't really have that signature Starbucks taste. But that's hugely subjective. Don't take my word for it. Try it! A lot of people love those Starbucks. Oh, I only go for the black coffee line up because I add in my own creamer. So i would recommend Americano

May I ask u bro, I just bought mine, dolce gusto drop machine automatic, If I just want a glass of hot water from the machine, what should I do? Just let it flow without any capsule or a cleaning cup? Or do I have to put the cleaning cup inside? (As I know we are not allowed to put that thing on, to make a tea or hot water, I read from the manual book)

But I might need to wash it first so the water won't have any coffe taste bcuz my hubby doesn't like coffee, if he order a cup of tea and then I give him a tea with lil bit coffee taste, that would be... u know.. 🤢 hahaha.. @@IzhanZubir I've tried Mars, Twix. Milky Way, Nesqik, Galaxy & Malteaser and they are all watery. The Chococino is the only one worth its price, and that comes with 2 pods and is like drinking choc milk. Tasty. The others are like choco water. I think they cheaped out.

Nespresso? I'm not sure, but most probably it won't fit other brands except nescafe. But there are 3rd party manufacturers who make dolce gusto compatible pods

I dont think Aldi fits this machine. However, there are 3rd party pods made for Dolce Gusto like Starbucks and Carraro.

Ya just let it run without a pod inside. You don't really need the cleaning cup. It should dispense hot water that way.

@@alexialeeF3 yes, for hot water, the way I do it is leave the old pod in there. The water will have some coffee taste though

I've come to a conclusion about these machines. If the drink doesn't come with a separate milk pod then it's just flavoured water.
Wait. I don't get what you're saying. To me, it tastes great with or without the milk. Perhaps you got the fake pods. I've heard of those
