thanks. this was actually very useful. usually people just read out their personal statements but you template and advise allowed me to tailor it towards my own personal statement about myself and the subject I want to study. thanks again :)
Thank you for your tips. Having some working experience in the field is also important especially for Masters. I really like the UCL, and submit an application for the next academic year. I will certainly follow your tips for the personal statement. Thank you!
Thank you so much for these tips/advice lol I live in London, UK and would like to go to UCL in the future. And these tips really helped out a lot thank you so much! I literally jotted everything you said (not-exaggerating) lol. It honestly means a lot, with this I can definitely get into UCL (god-willing!)
this was so helpful especially the part about procrastination cause I'm starting now even though I don't need to apply for 2024 entry until September because Politics & IR at UCL is my dream so all these tips are so helpful
Hello! Im currently applying for International Relations and Politics, I was wondering if you have any recommendation on where or what can I start reading and or listening about the subject to talk about it better on my PS
Sorry I can’t! But I would advise searching those key words in Google Scholar or JStor because I’m sure there are interesting journal articles on those topics that can direct you to further reading. Also, research the names of the professors in the faculties of the unis you’re applying to because I’m sure they will have published work on their own subject areas :)
Thankyou so much for giving such excellent advice. I'm an international applicant, I applied to the UK unis last yr fir my bachelors but my results came out late this year and this delayed everything and have some financial problems due to the pandemic. I was searching for some affordable options/where I can get more scholarship and yet have the opportunity to study in some world leading unis cuz imo research and practical experience is very important to me to gain during my course.I deferred my entry in the UK unis and decided to apply to Hong Kong. Last time I didn't consider money much while applying for the UK unis but I do care that Hong Kong unis are the only ones who are giving much scholarships for bachelors than any other place. I think that I should explain that why I had to take a gap yr, do u think I should mention applying to the UK unis in my Hong Kong' personal statement? I'm worried that it might come off as that I'm taking them as backup and they're my 2nd choice.
I really need help with my personal statement if anyone can please i haven't been in uni or almost 3 years and really want to get back in but am struggling
Please I want to know if using American spellings in an SOP prepared for a British school matters. E.g spelling Programme - British as Program - American
hi i just found this video it helped me a lot but i have a question i dont know what research to do like what am i researching for i want to do midwifery so like what research do i need to do for that ?
Hello! do you provide coaching when it comes to writing personal statement?? it looks like you're a teacher as well, teaching aspiring scholars to write their personal statement in the best way. Hope you notice my question ☺️
Thank you for such a useful video. May I ask you a question? If I submit the same motivation (changing the names of the institution) letter to the same course but different universities, will it be considered as plagiarism? Or should it be paraphrased anyway? Thank you!
I wish I had the time to read individual personal statements but unfortunately I’m unable to do that!! Using the structure/template I’ve linked in the description box can get you on your way!
I want to apply for electrical and electronics engineering, but I have no background in either Physics or Chemistry. However, I though I might still have a chance, because the universities offer an integrated foundation year. Can anyone give me advice?
Hii, I repeated year 12 because I failed chemistry in the first year which made me realise medicine is not the career path for me . I’m currently going into year 13 with psychology, philosophy and french . In my personal statement should I mention that I repeated year 12 with different subjects ? Because I don’t think a lot of unis would be happy to hear it and they would be reluctant to give me a position in unis like UCL OR QUEEN MARY OR KINGS . What is your advice ? Because on the contrary it could show how I learn from my failures and I come back . But again I wouldn’t get any unconditional offers by saying I failed . Can you help me pls
Hello! It's okay that you repeated year 12, it's nothing to feel bad about, in fact you're lucky you realised medicine is not for you early on and not at the end of your exams! There is no reason why you would have to mention this on your personal statement or your teacher's reference. It's irrelevant information so write your personal statement as if you haven't repeated year 12 at all, focus on your best qualities and you will be fine! Best of luck! :)
Hello! I hope you'll see this someday. I'm about to apply for universities in the Uk, and I wanted to ask, do universities there tend to look for a more standard-based personal statement or would taking the narrative approach throughout the entire personal statement work better? Thank you for the tips as well
If you apply for midwifery at 5 different unis, you're still only applying for one course (different unis will offer somewhat different modules, however if the course is labelled as midwifery it's still classed as applying for one course) :) x
you are sooo beautiful😍 you are Afghani, aren't you? I'm from Iran, we are neighbors 😇 I love Afghani people sooo much especially your language which is so cute 😄
