Correction: This is written, as far as I can tell, as is so they didn't put the accent on "Beyoncé" or on "ancée."

What’s a doink?”

I’d like to “thank” and complain to both you and Seth for making me rediscover TH-cam comments-which I’d like since sworn off. Corrections (which I’ve watched faithfully since somewhere in the early fog of the pandemic) had continued to tempt me. I finally broke down for this particular back of the card. Fuckers.
With only two shows this week, I feared we might not get the "Rudy married his cousin" bit, but Seth delivered big time. Seriously, never let it go.

I find it helps not to think of this as the final "Corrections" of the month; instead, think of the Fridays to come as "Redactions."

An "officially licensed" Corrections mug just seems the opposite of what this short form comedy, drama or variety series is all about. How could you knit (or crochet) a coffee mug, anyway? Lego Bricks, maybe.

I'm gonna be honest, that makes no bleeding sense! To be fair, I'm Indian American, so anyone in your parent's generation is your uncle or aunt, not your cousin. We call our second cousins as our parent's cousin's kids. Why does English make every single relationship outside of the basic aunts, uncles, first cousins into more cousins? Doesn't it make more sense to separate the generations? Uncle/aunts are my parent's generation, cousins are my generation, and nieces/nephews are the generation after me. But that's just what I'm used to, so maybe it just feels more normal to me that way. I'm pretty sure if I called any of my parent's cousins my cousin, my parents would get mad at me for not giving them respect or something.

After losing last week's Corrections due to Seth's positive Covid test, I was delighted to see Late Night was back to being live mid-week. It felt wrong for there to be an unscheduled week off.
John Oliver records clip episodes for online viewing, I'm really disappointed they're apparently not doing that here. So strange how online is still not recognized as some source of revenue for these people.

CORRECTION: on „A Closer Look“ of July 26th, Seth stated that Trump was 'conjugating' the word 'prosecution', while what Trump was doing is actually 'derivation', which is changing aspects of the word, such as word class, or meaning. 'Conjugation' means changing the ending of a verb, so that it corresponds to its subject.
The animal on your mug has ears that point outwards, a short snout and a round face - therefore it is a coyote and not a jackal! :O

Despite some jackal comments that the NBC online store is already sold out of corrections mugs, I was just able to buy one just now. I’d definitely check the store before being disappointed.
Also, googling “corrections mug” yields some strange and hilarious “shopping” results (I’m looking at you, Louisiana Dept of Corrections mug and blank mug).

I 'LIKED' this video before I even clicked play because I know in my heart that coming back for CORRECTIONS is the only thing that allowed Seth to beat covid.
Not everyone knows this, but the term 'chaise-lounge' is actually French for 'cheese log' and was part of a plot to trick the English in to eating furniture. It didn't work all that well, but basically everyone who's ever met the English agrees it was worth a try.
The fact that the handle is on the mug upside down is perfect.

Also, sort of correction: rather than get all twisted up in the petty vagaries of “ice cream headache,” you could just say “brain freeze” like a normal person, since that applies to pretty much any cold item that causes head pain. Just sayin’.

Wearing my Jackals team shirt today (Amazon has one that has the font and style of a team logo). It’s navy blue. I grew impatient waiting for a shirt. Not official but my husband already asked: “Why are you wearing a Jackals t-shirt?” So well worth it. 😂
