Vegeta can go Blue, so it makes sense he can go God, he technically couldnt go Blue unless he was a Super Saiyan God. Also, they didn't do the ritual on him. There's a moment in Super where Goku is admiring Vegeta's determination and strength while training, saying that Vegeta had obtained Super Saiyan God all on his own.
@deshanedehaney6380 Not true. You have to achieve Super Saiyan God in order to go Blue. They just never showed his God form officially until this movie because in Resurrection F, he went straight to Blue to intimidate Freeza and also not waste his time taking him out. Despite the fact that Goku ended up taking Freeza out. When Toriyama was still alive, he always rushed things because of his editors. Toriyama's editors are the reason why the Cell saga is so sloppy with its villains and why Cell also has three forms. This is not me being critical of Toriyama because I love his work, but that is the reason behind most things after the Namek and Freeza Sagas.

Chris voiced Frieza in this from his hospital bed. This was his final performance. Also, no, they didn’t do the ritual on Vegeta. Vegeta can access God Ki in general, so going down a step isn’t much. It’s like going Super Saiyan 2 before going Super Saiyan 1.
Christopher Ayres was the VA for Frieza, i believe this is his final mainline appearance before his death. Daman Mills voiced Frieza in the TV broadcast of Super filling in for Chris but Chris redubbed it in the Blu-ray releases.
So all explanations is here you have doubt about:_ 1- The aura broly had while fighting ssg vegeta. Actually that was his akari form(great ape) in human state. 2- Vegeta was able to transform to ssg bcz he already had divine energy. Ssb is super saiyan version of ssg so he already had access of it but Never used i guess he didnt knew how to 3- Goku and piccolo didnt fuse bcz with all dance perfection you also need to match your energy. Even one of them’s energy will be low or high they cant fuse 4- Dragonball wishes. So there is one theory they always showed but never explained till in daima. So the people shenron knows like goku and all only they get to have 3 wishes otherwise you only get 1 wish
I think you are greatly underestimating how hard it is to do battle noices in a booth as a VA btw haha. Ooh and I always chuckle when people say that they are suprised saiyans can do beams out of their mouth while I believe Nappa in the Saiyan Saga also did it. 54:47 At the time that the movie was being produced both the anime and manga where still ongoing with the TOP arc and Toriyama was not only involved with this movie but he was also giving outlines for Toei and Toyotaro to deal with the TOP arc (and not only that events in manga and anime of the TOP are very different even tho is the same story) so in order to things to be fair for both Manga and Anime viewers they dont use UI and SSBE in the movie.

01:03:47 They do have a non-canon(?) move called "Big Bang Kamehameha" which is what I was hoping for here. I don't know how a Galic Gun/Kamehameha combo would work.
For the fusion dance to work it was stated in the buu arc you have to have the exact same powerlevel and have the same body form or something like that. So different races and fusion like that unless its by potara
42:50 the ritual isnt required to achieve god form (the red one) vegeta achieved it all by training..this is the first time we're seeing it in the anime
I always see people take that the father raised him to be a monster mindset of Chile.... His father raised him to be a survivor on a hostile planet they were stranded on. Trying to make his son a nice guy would have gotten him killed. Having a tail would have probably gotten the father killed so it had to go. And not having a collar to rein him in would have gotten the planet destroyed and killed them both.... Everything his father did is easily justifiable outside of the concept of strictly being for revenge. When you see his father explained that Broly can't control himself once he taps into the Great Ape it becomes rather apparent that the collar was a attempt to pull back his son rather than watch him kill destroy himself.
You explained this well every girl think they a therapist that was his only way he can control him on a planet where there’s animals and bugs constantly trying to attack them, hard to raise a son that’s like the hulk on a planet with nothing on it
Broly was clearly in no danger on that planet, and everything so far after this movie shows that Broly would’ve been in control of his immense power with a gentle talking to.
@@yannym4605 no it doesn't. The movie literally shows he can't control himself when angry or tapping into his great ape abilities. The same uncontrollable abilities that lead Goku into killing his grandfather and Gohan into attempting to kill Piccolo. Abilities that would have led him to kill his own father or destroying the planet they lived on.
To answer your question early on about Goku’s parents lowering their power level to escape. Saiyans weren’t aware they could control the state of their power level. It was a tactic learned by Goku. That’s why Vegeta was so shocked about Goku’s power level constantly fluctuating when he first showed up to earth.
Interesting fact: Broly's green haired super saiyan form actually isn't called legendary super saiyan in canon for some reason. It's called "full power super saiyan" in canon. Also, the "form" broly takes where he's in base but has a green aura surrounding him is called "ikari" or "wrathful"
@@taki1838 He is, but for some reason they have never yet used the phrase in current Dragon Ball Super anime Canon for universe 7. I think there's a chance they might have used it for kale in universe 6 during the TOP Arc, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.
@@00bsdude Probably because LSSJ is not an exclusive transformation, just a legend. Toei being Toei wanted to make their own interpretation of the legend, misinforming in the process
In the manga Vegeta was using his God form with red hair to fight goku black. In the show they used SS blue instead during that fight. So he’s technically had it but he just skips it
To be fair on Paragus, he wasn’t necessarily using Broly to force him to be a warrior or a weapon. The Saiyan’s are a warrior race, and have a natural lust for battle.
One of my favorite bits from the abridge that sums up the King's backwards thinking YOUNG PARAGUS: This is insane! Freeza's got us paying rent under his boot-heel, and you're just going to murder our Saiyan baby with a power level of 10,000? (gets grabbed by two Saiyans as King Vegeta approaches him) He's like a trump card, if the card literally flipped the table over and shot the other player! He would be of great use to Vegeta! KING VEGETA: My son, the planet, or me? YOUNG PARAGUS: Yes!
Lol asking if they can mask their power immediately after Bardock says that's the exact reason they can't go with him then cutting that part out is wild.
They're not actually attempting to fuse, they're just going through the motions, that's why piccolo and Goku didn't fuse. You actually have to be attempting to fuse, by ensuring your power is matched, otherwise you can't fuse.
The animation definently mimmicks the colors and style of DBZ pretty perfectly while having the actual animation be on par with what's modern. and it looks so good, it's a perfect style for this series and definently for this movie, I'd love to see the art style at least become the standard, obviously the animation here has a movie budget behind it but the style is probably doable with a TV show budget right? That being said the little bits of the things that've come out after this look great in their own right but I'm just obsessed with what this movie looks like
1:03:53 Traditionally, both Gogeta and Vegito did end up producing atleast one technique that was a combination of both Goku and Vegeta's iconic techniques Vegito having the "*Final* Kamehameha" and Gogeta having the "*Big Bang* Kamehameha" in every video game appearance Personally, I've always thought Gogeta's Big Bang Kamehameha was really cool, so I thought it was unfortunate that that wasn't his finishing move in this movie but it's fine, still looked cool to see that last Kamehameha-- and atleast we got to see Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker (the rainbow orb attack) in canon
3:51 That’s actually a very good interesting statement. 58:59 The Fusion Dance only has the ability to work if the 2 involved have similar power levels. Goku is way stronger than piccolo so they wouldn’t be able to fuse.
This movie was THE GREATEST animated cinematographic experience i've ever lived in a movie theater. I went to see it 3 times because the animation AND the music were beyond this world amazing During this period Goku doesnt have mastery over U.I. so that's why he doesnt use it. BUT something really awesome is that during the fight with Gogeta, u can tell by the aura, he taps into U.I. to dodge Broly's attacks towards the end of the fight. Broly fought in somewhat of a "pre-super saiyan" state up until his dad died, then he went Super Saiyan. And then while fighting Gogeta he went in the Legendary super saiyan/Berserker transformation, which is when his hair turns green (his ki/aura being green already even from base form) Ps. Not only they made Broly cannon, but also Gogeta, so now both Vegito and Gogeta are cannon and that was so awesome. My fav part about Broly's cannonization is how they kept his BRUTAL, SAVAGE fighting style. And it even makes more sense here than in DBZ Broly, cus he's never been proper trained in any martial techniques. He was trained and raised just to survive monsters on a desolate wasteland of a planet so he has no concept of guiding his strenght so he just unleashes it and lets it go off vs whatever is infront and thats it. Bless Toriyama c': Also u were right, that is the 1st time Goku ever accepted in a way and asked to be called by that name. This movie did indeed end somewhat abruptlly, wish it was a bit more gradual, but i'm guessing, since Toriyama hadnt figured out how to introduce Broly into the thick of the story, they left it more of an "intro". I hope one day we get to see some more build up on these things too
Broly is basically DBZ version of the Hulk. The longer he fights the angrier he gets and the stronger he gets. But if you rewatch you’ll notice for sure. Brolly doesn’t land a single hit on Gogeta when he shows up
You're mixing the Z Broly's concept of "unlimited power" with Super Broly. Super Broly just had insane potential along with never having been in a fight before. He reached a limit before Frieza killed Paragus and got him to SSJ, and he was reaching his limit at the end too.
@@robbiemedica2652there’s no such thing as reaching a limit if you continue to keep growing. Broly wasn’t reaching a limit, the power gap was just too wide and gogeta knew that broly can keep growing so he put him down quickly.
58:35 Good question I think maybe it could have to do with not intending to fuse, but more so it might have to do with ki activation Most of the fighters' techniques in DB don't really need to be spoken out loud to be performed, they just have to perform it-- and especially with blast attacks and others, build up energy/ki to do it Or atleast, that's how it's been portrayed And the metamoran Fusion technique isn't much different in having a ki component In the Buu Saga, when Goku taught Piccolo, Goten and Trunks the fusion technique, he said it had certain requirements: such as something about equal height (which is funny cuz Goku and Vegeta definitely aren't equal in height but it still works, so I guess they retconned or just chose to ignore that whenever they became Gogeta in every series); proper form in doing the Fusion dance (angles, motions, timing, etc); and also very importantly (at least in the Buu saga) equal power levels/energy levels Back then, I remember they often instructed Trunks to lower his energy level to Goten's level, or when they attempted Super Saiyan fusion, they had to be mindful of their power as well So I would assume that, even if they say the words and do the dance, if they aren't really putting in the effort or literal energy into performing the Fusion technique, nothing will happen Just like how in real life, it doesn't matter how many kids and adults try to do the kamehameha, we don't have actual power to do it lmaoo
58:32 for fusion dance to work they both need to be from the same race with no big gab in terms of power or haight between them Unlike the potara it can fuse any 2 beings with ears and that's it .
Paragus' death is perfect because it's exactly the same as how he killed the other guy so he wouldn't have any more mouths to feed, in 1 second, and without excitement, like a being with no relevance. And Broly regaining consciousness in the same movie is certainly the worst possible decision, as it kind of happens a few arcs later, but people hated it because it was too quick for something that was supposed to be very difficult, plus having a warrior 10 times more powerful than the protagonists completely controlled, ready to defeat anyone doesn't work very well. And half of this film is fighting, and even the animation in the first half is incredible, even though people don't understand how non-fighting animation can be as good as fight animation. And the fight had already ended when Gogeta launched the kamehameha, so the resolution had already been reached, teleporting Broly is a break in expectations, but at the same time a relief and a satisfactory resolution, as the film builds this affection for Broly, the tension increases as he can't land a single blow when Gogeta turns Blue, and Gogeta Blue is just beating him over and over, and then there's the relief when everything works out
1:01:34 Yeah, Broly's Super Saiyan hair color has always just been up to interpretation, I don't think it really matters As long as he has his green-ish or fully green aura, you know it's the Legendary Super Saiyan or Berserk Super Saiyan Even in the old Z movies, his hair was almost always kinda just normal Super Saiyan color when I looked back I also thought his hair would have more a green tint because the most recent depictions of a Legendary Super Saiyan were in DB Super with Kale and Kefla's Super Saiyan hair colors just being straight up green-ish edit: oh nvm, when he goes Full Power Super Saiyan (that's what Dokkan Battle calls it, anyway) in this movie, his hair does turn a similar shade of green to Kale and Kefla I'm pretty sure old Z Broly still had normal-looking Super Saiyan hair
There's some Dragon Ball lore that I feel enough fans would want to see to allow for another spin-off Dragon Ball Series. Dragon Ball Daima has just started so a new one would be hard to produce, however, IF they did, they could jump back several hundred years and show the evolution of the Saiyans. When Vegeta meets Cabbe, he tells Vegeta that their home planet is called Sadala and Vegeta remarks that that WAS the same name as their original planet before one of their Kings named it after himself. But that isn't in line with the history that the Saiyans and the Tuffles were once natives of the same planet. The Saiyans were essentially vilent primitive cave people and the Tuffles were technologically sophisticated. A war broke out and the Saiyans caused the Tuffles extinction. That's why Baby was so pissed in DBGT.
Hi Steph, just to clarify: Whenever Goku and Vegeta fuse, they create a new being/person (there is not a dominant side). When the fusion is over, neither Goku or Vegeta remember what happened during the fusion too. Vegetto and Gogeta are the same being btw, stated by the creator
What I love about this movie isn't just the animation or fight scenes it's the writing quality it's honestly Battle of Gods level good like for example the question of this movie isn't "Will Goku and Vegeta win this fight" obviously we know that they will it's "Can Broly and his new found friends live and escape from these situation" because they were smart when it came to forming this new trio we spend enough time with these three that we grow to care about them & love their dynamic. Also this Goku seems much more in line with the Z Kai portrayal he notices that Broly is copying his moments and stances and that he's never actually been in a real fight before apart from the quick exchange with Vegeta. Soon enough Goku catches onto the fact that Broly doesn't actually want to fight and despite his selfish desire to keep the battle going he tries to talk Broly down recognizing that he's not the villain here and that he's just a puppet trying to make his Father happy this almost works but unfortunately Broly is too lost in his own rage and power to listen to reason. Then of course there's the "Call me Kakarot" scene at the end it's Goku holding out a hand in friendship and in rivalry to Broly out of a mutual respect kind of like with Vegeta both Goku and Broly grew up in a similar manner they are Saiyans but the worlds they grew up on are their homes and it's always nice to see Goku embracing his Saiyan heritage by allowing Vegeta and Broly to call him Kakarot his Saiyan given name it reminds me of Goku's "I am" speech way back on Namek against Frieza because that was the moment he accepted his identity as Saiyan that is when he truly accepts his legacy and heritage embracing his pride and rage by declaring himself the Super Saiyan.
Broly is completely feral when he transforms and has been stronger than his father since he was born. There was literally no way for him to teach Broly anything about controlling his power because he had no way to make Broly listen and also had no idea how to even fathom controlling Broly's amount of power. If he didn't have the shock collar, Broly would have destroyed Vampa and gotten them both killed years ago.
In the original, Bardock went on to inform most of the saiyans of Frieza's betrayal but they all laughed at him. Then he proceeded to fly up facing 1000 of Friezas soldiers and still sticking through to try and stop the blast
there is an insanely high pitched noise playing in the background that probably only a few people can hear around 10:00 thought my ears were ringing until I stopped the vid which is crazy. Great video though
They actually do have a move fused together it’s non canon but it’s called Final Kamehameha ( Final Flash&Kamehameha ) or Big Bang Kamehameha ( Vegetas Big Bang Attack & Kamehameha )
So the story goes that this movie was being made while TOP was being made for TV. They both had epic final fights but the makers were not sure which would come out first, so they made the power ups from one not show up in the other. So basically, Vegeta can only go Blue because the animators didn't know about his second Blue form, like how Goku can't go Ultra Instinct here because the animators don't know it. If they ever redid this as more DBS episodes they could use those transformations, or more likely say they're still new and too hard to control. If you get into the Dragonball Super shorts used mostly to promote mobile games, there was a cool moment in a Timeline Tournament where Bardock + Goku + Gohan fought at the same time togeather. Then later DBS Ultra Instrict Goku fought GT/Xenoverse Super Sayian 4 Goku.
44:55 the animation is not made by fox, It's just, like, the film's distributor. The animation is still Toei animation, but they changed EVERYTHING, and in general, Toei has increased the quality a lot since this film, be it Dragon Ball, One Piece, any of their works.
@53:30 another cool detail is how freeza is standing over broly’s dad and k1lled him in the exact same way brolys dad did that Saiyan in the beginning of the movie
Im gonna be real. Never underestimate how hard screaming nonstop can be for voice actors. Vic Mignogna even said in the original DBZ Broly that he went so hard with it he literally started coughing blood cause he was just screaming so damn hard. Not to mention if you do VA for a bsttle anime likecthis you gotta be willing to do voice work alongside the screaming. Id say Broly not having many speaking lines to accompany the screaming is a blessing in disguise for the VA. Anyone doing that much must be chugging honey out the bottle to cope.
its not just that piccolo is weaker, they have to use their energy in their body in a certain pattern til it reaches the tips of their fingers to merge so if they did that too while showing, probably would`ve happened
The whole point of kale in the tournament of power was to pay tribute to the original broly movie when she walks through the kamehameha and grabs gokus face that's a split scene taken from the original broly movie
Okay, gonna answer some of your questions and make some corrections: 1.) 20th Century Fox had no part in the production of this movie, they were the distribution company for the movie. 2.) Though the transformation title has been later included in marketing and merchandise. The meaning of "Legendary Super Saiyan" refers to someone with the spirit of Yamoshi (The first/legendary Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God), not a transformation. The official names for Broly's Super Saiyan form is "Super Saiyan Berserker", this applies to Kale as well, though Broly's version is a bit different from Kale's in the sense that Broly has another transformation before his Super Saiyan form and it's his Rage Berserker form, which is similar to Super Saiyan 4 in a sense. This form allows Broly to tap into the power of the Oozaru without the need to transform into one and his Super Saiyan transformation is the Super Saiyan version of that form. It's like a humanoid version of a Super Saiyan Great ape. 3.) The reason Goku and Piccolo didn't fuse is because they're not close in power. Goku would have to dial down his power to match Piccolos and when their power level is the same and they're completely in-sync, that's how they would accomplish the fusion, so the fusion didn't work because they're not in sync in spirit, they're only doing the dance and pose.
@@drapratsu9166 Kale's is also called Super Saiyan Berserker (Or just Super Saiyan Berserk), but even though they share the same name for the transformation, their state has to be different because Oozarus don't exist in Universe 6. As for Broly, yes, the marketing name for the new Broly is "Super Saiyan full power" just as Z Broly's marketing name was Legendary Super Saiyan, but these were not names given by Toriyama. In a 2018 interview with Akira Toriyama, he said that Broly's first transformed state in the movie is called his "Wrath state", I misread this years ago as "Rage state", but same difference. For his Super Saiyan state, I could be mis-remembering, but I thought he also said it was called "Super Saiyan Berserker". In the manga, Super Saiyan Full Power is the form they achieve when they've mastered Super Saiyan to be a natural state, like a base state, it's this state that is used to turn into a Super Saiyan 2. In otherwords, marketing gives these forms names outside of how Toriyama describes them and I get why they do that, but it makes it really confusing for us fans. For example, in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, when Cumber blasts Goku with Berserker energy, Goku transforms into a form they call Super Saiyan Berserk, but despite having the same name, Kale's version of it is a lot different. I've also read somewhere people referring to Broly's transformation as "Super Saiyan Rage", which would be believe-able, however, that is also the name of Future Trunks's unique Super Saiyan transformation in Super and that transformation is completely different.
They didn’t use the super saiyan god ritual on vegeta, he somehow learned it by himself with no help. Super saiyan God technically isn’t an actual super saiyan transformation, it’s just a saiyan using god ki. It’s like a new base form but instead of normal ki its divine energy. Super saiyan blue is just them stacking super saiyan onto the god form, the original name is super saiyan god super saiyan For vegeta to know blue, he has to know god
6:43 The outfits that Vegeta described when he first saw Cabba was far before the battle armor outfits. 12:47 In Bardock: The Father of Goku it showed how he got it And you should watch the Bardock special. Its not canon but should still watch it along with some of the other Z Movies Also Vegeta didn’t do the ritual. He was already able to go attain Super Saiyan Blue so he already had God ki so there was no need to do the ritual all had to do was remove the super saiyan power from super saiyan blue and Bam Super Saiyan God !!! Vegeta definitely looks better with it and he’s proof if you put in hard work you will get great results.
@ So im assuming you didn’t see Goku Ssg fight Beerus ? Like i said Goku already had a feel of Super Saiyan God/ God ki. Vegeta didn’t until he started training with Whis Then they both went attained Blue. Vegeta went Super Saiyan God without the ritual. Like i said on one of my previous comments.
@@Theeplayboi yes I know. I’m saying vegeta obtained god ki while training with whis before goku got there. And had they known about god ki before the ritual, they both would have trained for it organically.
Broly in DBZ movies has always been able to turn super saiyan and then into his Legendary form. He does this in the first one where his hair is blueish due to the collar restraining his power and in Broly second coming wen he fights Trunks and Goten he is in super saiyan form.
If Paragus wasn’t shocking broly he probably would’ve stayed berserk ending up destroying the planet killing broly and himself so I don’t blame him. He was actually a pretty good dad as far as it goes for saiyans
The green hair isn't canon. it's something Toei added for fanservice. In the manga, Broly only has yellow hair. And a legendary super saiyan form isn’t real to Toriyama. The legendary super saiyan is just super saiyan. Even the og super saiyan, Yamoshi was just a regular super saiyan
Broly is not the legendary Super Saiyan. The actual legendary Super Saiyan was a good-natured Saiyan by the name of Yamoshi who long ago, alongside other good Saiyans, rose up and raged a battle against the evil-natured Saiyans - becoming a Super Saiyan after seeing his comrades die - but was overwhelmed as his energy gave out. Afterwards, becoming a myth overtime told by the Saiyans. The legendary form wasn't seen again until centuries later when Son Goku faced Freeza. This is the official story - Broly (until DBS: Broly) was a non-canonical plot-hole movie character.
Answering more of your questions: Goku was the first Super Saiyan since the original one 1,000 years prior to Vegeta’s birth. No Gine and Bardock can’t hide their power levels, that’s an earthling skill, Vegeta didn’t know how to do that or sense energy until he learned it was possible in the Saiyan Saga of DBZ
Well we know that it was actually Beerus who ordered Frieza to destroy planet Vegeta...but it probably suited him because of the legend of the super Saiyan
Gogeta vs broly and vegeta vs broly have the best art and animation in all of dragonball history. This film was greater than PEAK plus I have never seen a fight in my life that is as intense gogeta vs broly
This version of Bardock is kind of a retcon, you should check out the original origin story for how Goku got sent to earth, "Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku" from 1990. That version of Bardock is more like the one you expected, the cold saiyan warrior who wasnt necessarily a super loving father to goku.
If Cheelai didn’t wish for Broly to be saved brother would’ve been obliterated to bits by that Kamehameha, in short Gogeta is a psychopath cause Broly had stopped raging at that point
It was something in the Namek saga where only the z fighters and vegeta after fighting goku learned how to suppress their energy. I doubt bardock would've known since no one in Z among the Freeza force displayed knowledge about suppressing energy apart from Freeza but that was mainly through transformations.

There's a moment in Super where Goku is admiring Vegeta's determination and strength while training, saying that Vegeta had obtained Super Saiyan God all on his own.
That’s incorrect he was able to go blue before going god but the rest your right
@@deshanedehaney6380 nope
@@deshanedehaney6380 The full name of the blue is litteraly "Super Saiyan __GOD__ Super Saiyan". You need to have god to go blue.
@@IjiShima1994 yall don’t the manga because if yall did yall would know that he learned how to go blue first because he was trading with whis for 6months and learned how to achieved god ki which made him go ssb first
Chris voiced Frieza in this from his hospital bed. This was his final performance.
Also, no, they didn’t do the ritual on Vegeta. Vegeta can access God Ki in general, so going down a step isn’t much. It’s like going Super Saiyan 2 before going Super Saiyan 1.
Vegeta never did the ritual, he taped into the super Saiyan god power training with whis off screen. For some reason they didn't show it in the show.
It was also used throughout the manga
Christopher Ayres was the VA for Frieza, i believe this is his final mainline appearance before his death. Daman Mills voiced Frieza in the TV broadcast of Super filling in for Chris but Chris redubbed it in the Blu-ray releases.
So all explanations is here you have doubt about:_
1- The aura broly had while fighting ssg vegeta. Actually that was his akari form(great ape) in human state.
2- Vegeta was able to transform to ssg bcz he already had divine energy. Ssb is super saiyan version of ssg so he already had access of it but Never used i guess he didnt knew how to
3- Goku and piccolo didnt fuse bcz with all dance perfection you also need to match your energy. Even one of them’s energy will be low or high they cant fuse
4- Dragonball wishes. So there is one theory they always showed but never explained till in daima. So the people shenron knows like goku and all only they get to have 3 wishes otherwise you only get 1 wish
yeah frieza couldnt get invincibility imortallity and height at the same time since
if the dragon doesn't know you then you only get 1 wish
I kind of love the detail that gogeta was so strong that he actually scared broly back into sanity
I think you are greatly underestimating how hard it is to do battle noices in a booth as a VA btw haha. Ooh and I always chuckle when people say that they are suprised saiyans can do beams out of their mouth while I believe Nappa in the Saiyan Saga also did it. (And maybe even Piccolo but not 100% on that).
@@danielvddc7807 not really. The anime had been completed 10 months before DBS broly came out in Japanese and 11 months before the dub version. Everybody knew about UI and ssbe by then.
@@ZarrarAAliyeah but you have to remember that this is a movie, we had confirmation from a long time ago that production and designs where already at work as early as Feb 2017. Unlike a TV series a movie takes much more time and management to be finished
@@Hikarislayer347very true, 11 months like they said is not enough time to change a movie’s script mid development especially one in dev since 2017
@@danielvddc7807 the reason ultra instinct wasnt used is because Goku cant use it at will which he states at the end of the top arc to Vegeta. When Goku is transforming into super saiyan blue he tried to force ultra instinct which is why u see him go ultra instinct for a second.
I love how Beerus becomes a part of the DB crew despite being vastly more powerful than any of them all because of food and napping on Earth like a regular cat.

They do have a non-canon(?) move called "Big Bang Kamehameha" which is what I was hoping for here. I don't know how a Galic Gun/Kamehameha combo would work.
Final Kamehameha and Big Bang Kamehameha.
You explained this well every girl think they a therapist that was his only way he can control him on a planet where there’s animals and bugs constantly trying to attack them, hard to raise a son that’s like the hulk on a planet with nothing on it
@@MrThevoicebox Guys think that way to not just the girls.
Whoever edited out Brolys yell during the gogeta blue fight....you're from Universe 2
To answer your question early on about Goku’s parents lowering their power level to escape. Saiyans weren’t aware they could control the state of their power level. It was a tactic learned by Goku. That’s why Vegeta was so shocked about Goku’s power level constantly fluctuating when he first showed up to earth.
The Frieza “haha, hello Monkeys” actually came from the video game series in intros scenes to a fight
@T.elegra.m.TheStephReacts sus

Yes, this is Tarzan, but in space. And we love it x'd
Interesting fact: Broly's green haired super saiyan form actually isn't called legendary super saiyan in canon for some reason. It's called "full power super saiyan" in canon. Also, the "form" broly takes where he's in base but has a green aura surrounding him is called "ikari" or "wrathful"
Goku is the legendary ssj
@@taki1838 He is, but for some reason they have never yet used the phrase in current Dragon Ball Super anime Canon for universe 7. I think there's a chance they might have used it for kale in universe 6 during the TOP Arc, but that might just be wishful thinking on my part.
@@00bsdude Probably because LSSJ is not an exclusive transformation, just a legend. Toei being Toei wanted to make their own interpretation of the legend, misinforming in the process
they didn't do the ritual on vegeta , when goku and vegeta were fighting golden frieza goku said that vegeta reached super sayan god on his own
In the manga Vegeta was using his God form with red hair to fight goku black. In the show they used SS blue instead during that fight. So he’s technically had it but he just skips it
To be fair on Paragus, he wasn’t necessarily using Broly to force him to be a warrior or a weapon. The Saiyan’s are a warrior race, and have a natural lust for battle.
12:26 if you notice Broly is wearing that soldiers clothes, it’s a theory that they did eat him
Saiyans will eat meat wherever they find it 😅
One of my favorite bits from the abridge that sums up the King's backwards thinking
YOUNG PARAGUS: This is insane!
That being said the little bits of the things that've come out after this look great in their own right but I'm just obsessed with what this movie looks like
1:03:53
Traditionally, both Gogeta and Vegito did end up producing atleast one technique that was a combination of both Goku and Vegeta's iconic techniques
Vegito having the "*Final* Kamehameha" and Gogeta having the "*Big Bang* Kamehameha" in every video game appearance
Personally, I've always thought Gogeta's Big Bang Kamehameha was really cool, so I thought it was unfortunate that that wasn't his finishing move in this movie but it's fine, still looked cool to see that last Kamehameha-- and atleast we got to see Soul Punisher/Stardust Breaker (the rainbow orb attack) in canon
I went to see it 3 times because the animation AND the music were beyond this world amazing
During this period Goku doesnt have mastery over U.I. so that's why he doesnt use it.
And then while fighting Gogeta he went in the Legendary super saiyan/Berserker transformation, which is when his hair turns green (his ki/aura being green already even from base form)
Ps. Bless Toriyama c':
Also u were right, that is the 1st time Goku ever accepted in a way and asked to be called by that name. This movie did indeed end somewhat abruptlly, wish it was a bit more gradual, but i'm guessing, since Toriyama hadnt figured out how to introduce Broly into the thick of the story, they left it more of an "intro". I hope one day we get to see some more build up on these things too
You will find out in Dragon Ball Daima why Shenron granted 1 wish instead of 3.
58:35
Good question
I think maybe it could have to do with not intending to fuse, but more so it might have to do with ki activation
Most of the fighters' techniques in DB don't really need to be spoken out loud to be performed, they just have to perform it-- and especially with blast attacks and others, build up energy/ki to do it
Or atleast, that's how it's been portrayed
And the metamoran Fusion technique isn't much different in having a ki component
In the Buu Saga, when Goku taught Piccolo, Goten and Trunks the fusion technique, he said it had certain requirements: such as something about equal height (which is funny cuz Goku and Vegeta definitely aren't equal in height but it still works, so I guess they retconned or just chose to ignore that whenever they became Gogeta in every series); proper form in doing the Fusion dance (angles, motions, timing, etc); and also very importantly (at least in the Buu saga) equal power levels/energy levels
Back then, I remember they often instructed Trunks to lower his energy level to Goten's level, or when they attempted Super Saiyan fusion, they had to be mindful of their power as well
So I would assume that, even if they say the words and do the dance, if they aren't really putting in the effort or literal energy into performing the Fusion technique, nothing will happen
Just like how in real life, it doesn't matter how many kids and adults try to do the kamehameha, we don't have actual power to do it lmaoo
"I just think it's sad that these are the last four saiyans and they're fighting."
Bruh that's what they do for fun...
58:32 for fusion dance to work they both need to be from the same race with no big gab in terms of power or haight between them
Unlike the potara it can fuse any 2 beings with ears and that's it .
And the fight had already ended when Gogeta launched the kamehameha, so the resolution had already been reached, teleporting Broly is a break in expectations, but at the same time a relief and a satisfactory resolution, as the film builds this affection for Broly, the tension increases as he can't land a single blow when Gogeta turns Blue, and Gogeta Blue is just beating him over and over, and then there's the relief when everything works out
The reason goku and piccolo didn’t fuse is because it requires two people at the same power level unlike the potaras where anyone can fuse.
Its also because they need to be compatible(proably same race), Goku did say that no one was compatible with him in the other world
1:01:34
Yeah, Broly's Super Saiyan hair color has always just been up to interpretation, I don't think it really matters
As long as he has his green-ish or fully green aura, you know it's the Legendary Super Saiyan or Berserk Super Saiyan
Even in the old Z movies, his hair was almost always kinda just normal Super Saiyan color when I looked back
I also thought his hair would have more a green tint because the most recent depictions of a Legendary Super Saiyan were in DB Super with Kale and Kefla's Super Saiyan hair colors just being straight up green-ish
edit:
oh nvm, when he goes Full Power Super Saiyan (that's what Dokkan Battle calls it, anyway) in this movie, his hair does turn a similar shade of green to Kale and Kefla
I'm pretty sure old Z Broly still had normal-looking Super Saiyan hair
59:35 him and Piccolo couldn't fuse because in order to fuse that way ur power levels have to b equal...
Fun fact, Vegeta never did the ritual for gods form. he managed it on his own after training with Whis.
7.14 father of the year.
Oh she gonna eat those words😂
there is an insanely high pitched noise playing in the background that probably only a few people can hear around 10:00 thought my ears were ringing until I stopped the vid which is crazy. Great video though
They actually do have a move fused together it’s non canon but it’s called Final Kamehameha ( Final Flash&Kamehameha ) or Big Bang Kamehameha ( Vegetas Big Bang Attack & Kamehameha )
You get three wishes only if shenron knows you like that.😂
So the story goes that this movie was being made while TOP was being made for TV.
You hav 4k subs with 10k views good stuff keep doing what you do
Thanks!! It’s only the start!
The way Goku almost got broly to calm down you could see it in his eyes
The choreography of the fights are insane there have been random TH-camrs analyzing it
@53:30 another cool detail is how freeza is standing over broly’s dad and k1lled him in the exact same way brolys dad did that Saiyan in the beginning of the movie
Shenron grants 3 wishes to people who uses them more than once and 1 to new comers
1:03:49 they’ve done it before, they have a final kamehameha (final flash) and big bang kamehameha (big bang attack)
Broly doesn't really scream, he yells. Much easier on the vocals
"Look at Baby Vegeta! So cute!"
GT fans: 😬
If you notice, when Gogeta instant transmission to where Whis was, Whis dodged their teleport with his UI.
the "not technologically advanced" part really hits home. we think we're advanced but then again.. compared to whom??
Baby Raditz and Vegeta just smoke a lot cut them some slack 😂
its not just that piccolo is weaker, they have to use their energy in their body in a certain pattern til it reaches the tips of their fingers to merge so if they did that too while showing, probably would`ve happened
Man I’ve been really enjoying the reactions from Steph so fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
The whole point of kale in the tournament of power was to pay tribute to the original broly movie when she walks through the kamehameha and grabs gokus face that's a split scene taken from the original broly movie
Okay, gonna answer some of your questions and make some corrections:
1.) 20th Century Fox had no part in the production of this movie, they were the distribution company for the movie.
The greenish Super Saiyan he has is named "Super Saiyan Full Power". Not Berserk. Kale as another unique form.
Super saiyan blue is just them stacking super saiyan onto the god form, the original name is super saiyan god super saiyan
For vegeta to know blue, he has to know god
It's Dragon Ball. The fight is the point. Every form they take and energy blast they fire IS the progression.
king Vageta is voiced by Chris Sabet who also voices present Vageta who is the fourth.
It's easy to predict something when you do it right before it happens.
58:19 They need to be at a similar power level, or power up to a similar power level for it to work
So glad broly and gogeta are canon now!!😭
1:03:50 The move you're searching for is called Big Bang Kamehameha
6:43 The outfits that Vegeta described when he first saw Cabba was far before the battle armor outfits.
12:47 In Bardock: The Father of Goku it showed how he got it And you should watch the Bardock special. Its not canon but should still watch it along with some of the other Z Movies
Also Vegeta didn’t do the ritual.
I mean him and goku went through the same training lol
@ But Goku already had god ki, vegeta didn’t
@@Theeplayboi vegeta had already obtained god ki. He was training way before goku got there. They just both trained together to get super saiyan blue.
44:45 no ritual. He achieved god on his own. He and Goku learned Blue the same time so naturally God (Red) would come with it…
Broly in DBZ movies has always been able to turn super saiyan and then into his Legendary form. He does this in the first one where his hair is blueish due to the collar restraining his power and in Broly second coming wen he fights Trunks and Goten he is in super saiyan form.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the Saiyans got rid of the Sadala armor that Cabba wore when King Cold ensalved them
If Paragus wasn’t shocking broly he probably would’ve stayed berserk ending up destroying the planet killing broly and himself so I don’t blame him.
Angels can’t interfere in the universe, so fighting broly would’ve erased him(whis) from existence. It was brought up on the manga later on
A common insult for reptile races in fiction is Belly Dragger. Similar how if you call a human stupid, a Knuckle Dragger.
Goku gets turned on when you call him Kakarot 😂
Dragon Ball Super Super Hero is great, too. It takes place after the Moro and Granola arcs. They never got animated.
had the honor of seeing this animation masterpeice in the cinema enjoyed every min of it
Answering more of your questions: Goku was the first Super Saiyan since the original one 1,000 years prior to Vegeta’s birth.
Cheelai tamed him with kindness and of course... all the cake. Lol😅
What's fun about Dragon Ball Super: Broly is its just good, like a solid movie by itself. Its like the mad-max fury road of anime, lol.
If Cheelai didn’t wish for Broly to be saved brother would’ve been obliterated to bits by that Kamehameha, in short Gogeta is a psychopath cause Broly had stopped raging at that point
1:07:18 Him telling Broly to call him “ Kakarot “ instead of Goku just shows he has fully accepted his Saiyan heritage.
It was something in the Namek saga where only the z fighters and vegeta after fighting goku learned how to suppress their energy. I doubt bardock would've known since no one in Z among the Freeza force displayed knowledge about suppressing energy apart from Freeza but that was mainly through transformations.
